1017 Rapper Foogiano Has Been Arrested: Report

Gucci Mane’s 1017 signee Foogiano made headlines in December following the news that he had burned off an ankle monitor and proceeded to head on the run. Months later, XXL has confirmed that the rapper was arrested in Memphis, with police charging him with being a fugitive from justice without a warrant. Upon his arrest, he was booked into the Shelby County Jail.

It should be noted that Foogiano was originally wearing an ankle monitor following a previous arrest for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest was a violation of his probation, which he received following a prior charge for burglary in 2015. Shortly after receiving his ankle bracelet, authorities discovered it discarded alongside a Barrow County highway, with the straps having been visibly burnt off.

At this time, it is unclear as to whether Foogiano’s attempt to evade justice will bear significant legal consequences for the rising rapper. Though Foogiano’s team has yet to issue a statement on the current situation, many have expressed concern that these rising charges will derail the 1017 rapper’s rapidly rising momentum. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on Foogiano’s situation as details surface, and in the meantime, curious parties can check out the rapper’s mugshot via XXL below.

Comethazine Drops New Single & Video “Malcolm In The Middle”

Comethazine is one of the most authentic artists in hip-hop. He stays in his lane, consistently delivers new music for his fans, and comes through with the intensity and eclectic energy that his base has grown to know and love him for. Being named to the XXL Freshman list in 2019, Comethazine has experienced a lick of mainstream success, but it feels like his music is much better suited for a more underground audience, catering to a niche market with his eye-popping rhymes and head-scratching punchlines.

Returning with his new music video for “Malcolm in the Middle”, Co drops less than a minute-and-thirty-seconds worth of content for his fans to enjoy, reuniting with a lookalike family from the famous sitcom and sticking with them during a shenanigans-filled evening. He eats supper with the family, capturing them bobbing their heads to the new song before the twists and turns begin.

Watch the new music video from Comethazine below.

Quotable Lyrics:

In the middle of two b*tches, feel like Malcolm
Big sh*t talker, yeah that’s you but this the outcome
Oh hoe, you ain’t havin’ fun, b*tch how come?
You said that you wanna be a star, you around one

Donald Trump Roasted For Flying In Tiny Plane

In a few short weeks, former President Donald Trump has gone from flying in the ultra-spacious Air Force One, and even his old private jet before that dubbed Air Trump, to navigating the skies in a much-smaller plane. During his first Presidential campaign, Trump was jetting around the country in his own Boeing 757. The aircraft had enough room for over forty passengers, keeping the Republican candidate comfortable with a private bedroom above the clouds. The 74-year-old has downgraded considerably since those days, flying to New York in what appears to be Cessna Citation X, in which he’s not even able to stand.

Photos of the former President stepping onto the Cessna plane were published in the Daily Mail, where people have been trolling Trump for the downgrade. While he’s still flying private, which is something that former Vice-President Mike Pence can’t say, Trump is definitely feeling his Presidential perks dissipate.

Unlike Trump’s old Boeing, the smaller Cessna doesn’t have a shower, living room-style sofas, boardroom tables, private cabins, or even enough standing room for the former President to get up without crouching. The cabin has a standing height of under five feet and seven inches, meanwhile, Trump stands 6’3″.

Still, the plane is reportedly worth $20 million. Trump is flying more luxuriously than the majority of us, but he’s been relegated back to the smaller private jets, seemingly giving up his old Boeing for good.

Mozzy Brings 2Pac Energy To “My Ambitionz”

Following the release of his recent “Neva Said It,” Mozzy has returned to the fold with another new single in “My Ambitionz.” Quitely enjoying a run as one of the game’s most consistent emcees, the West Coast rapper has drawn inspiration from a California legend, drawing from the classic tune “Ambitionz Az A Ridah.” In keeping with his own stylistic preferences, Mozzy brings a little bit of bounce to the Pac-fueled banger, though he retains a similar defiant spirit as Makaveli.

“Tomato sauce on your Amiris, you ain’t hear me clearly,” he spits. “Affected by the world severely, they gon’ miss you dearly / seven series for my youngin’ he like seventeen / most of the chops we got is German, some is Lebanese.” He proceeds to dive deeper into his world, spitting vivid depictions of the nuances of street life. When it comes to authenticity, Mozzy had never failed to hold it down, keeping it consistent with every new release. Check out “Ambitionz” now, and be sure to sound off if you’re looking forward to some new Mozzy.

Jhené Aiko Loads “Sailing Soul(s)” To DSPs Ahead Of Its 10-Year Anniversary

In honor of the imminent 10-year anniversary of Sailing Soul(s), Jhené Aiko has finally loaded her classic mixtape to DSPs. The fan-favorite project also coincides with the singer-songwriter‘s birthday, so it has always held a special place in Aiko’s heart.

Speaking at lengths about the impact the Sailing Soul(s) had on her as an artist and as a person, the “P*$$& Fairy” singer shared the following sentiments in a heartfelt Instagram post: “this mixtape was a pivotal moment for me. when i was 12 i was signed to a label, singing songs i had no real connection to. besides that, i had no real stories of my own to tell at 12 lol. then i took a break to focus on school. in my teens i was singing demo records and taking meetings.”

After touching on the meaning of the project’s title, she revealed, “”sailing soul(s)” was an independent project and the beginning of me writing every lyric to every song i sing.”

Today, Sailing Soul(s) hits streaming services with an updated tracklist, as Jhené Aiko treats fans to four new bonus tracks, including “living room flow,” “mirrors,” “2 seconds,” and “snapped.” Other changes to Aiko’s career-changing mixtape include some fan-favorite songs, such as her Drake collaboration “July” and her Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Growing Apart Too,” being cut from its DSP version.

The reasons for why those standout tracks from the original version of Sailing Soul(s) are not included in this new reissue could vary from failed sample clearance to Jhené Aiko’s artistic discretion. Regardless, fans are likely still teeming with excitement that her breakout mixtape is finally on streaming services.

50 Cent Reacts To Snoop Dogg Joining “BMF”

50 Cent and Snoop Dogg have a history of collaboration. While it’s not exactly the most prolific track record, it’s clear that the two rap legends have nothing but respect for one another; no easy feat, given how selective 50 is when it comes to his inner circle. Today, Fif has come through to tease a reunion between himself and his “P.I.M.P” partner, one that happens to center around the ambitious BMF TV series.

“Your boy’s are back working together again, nothing but success BMF,” writes 50 Cent, celebrating the news that Snoop Dogg has officially joined the cast of BMFDeadline indicates that the Doggfather will be returning to his gospel roots with the “spiritually themed recurring role” of Pastor Swift, a man of God who appears dedicated to keeping the Flenory family’s moral compass on the straight and narrow. However, Deadline teases that Swift may or may not find himself immersed in some activities that the Lord wouldn’t necessarily approve of.

In addition to Snoop Dogg, BMF will also bring Power vet La La Anthony and Empire alumni Serayah into the fold. Good news all around, especially for fans of Snoop Dogg’s acting work. Most recently, Snoop appeared in Harmony Korine’s The Beach Bum alongside Matthew McConaughey, a performance that was met with general acclaim — though some argued that he was simply playing himself. From the sound of it, however, Pastor Swift will give Snoop a bit of room to flex his acting muscles, and his presence will be most welcome when BMF ultimately premieres on Starz.

Clever Displays His Range On “Call Me Nobody” With Lil Wayne & His Son Isaiah Lyric

One of the music industry’s best-kept secrets, Alabama native Clever is unpacking more layers of his story on his star-studded debut album Crazy. The rising artist signed a collaboration deal with Post Malone and Juice WRLD before his passing, soaking up knowledge from two of the greatest artists of all-time and learning how to mold himself into a superstar of his own. With Crazy, Clever is finally scratching at his potential, showcasing his incredible songwriting skills and displaying range and versatility on songs like “Call Me Nobody”.

It’s not fair to place Clever in a box. The artist has felt trapped at times in his life, being closed off in limiting label deals and getting locked away in jail for years of his life. He’s back on track to become the star that he was always meant to be though, kicking off his major-label success with Crazy. “Call Me Nobody” is one of Clever’s most interesting records on the new album, featuring Lil Wayne as well as the artist’s son Isaiah Lyric, who sings the closing melody during the outro.

He can play piano better than me, and I feel like I’m a pretty good piano player,” said Clever about his son Isaiah Lyric in a new interview with HotNewHipHop, which will be released later today. “At the end of the song, I’m doing like this ‘lalalalala’ thing to finish the song, and he was sitting there, I guess just hearing the melodies over and over and felt the need to sing along with it. But when he did it, he just stuck his mouth to the mic and did it. That’s not something that he typically does. You know what I’m saying? He knows when I’m on the microphone that he’s gotta be quiet. But he just, I don’t know, felt the urge to stick his mouth to the microphone and start doing it. I didn’t ask him to do it or nothin’ like that.”

Listen to Clever’s new song “Call Me Nobody” with Lil Wayne and Isaiah Lyric below, and stay tuned for our exclusive interview with Clever, which will be published later today.

Quotable Lyrics:

I never believed in ghosts ’til I saw my roof
But in the big city, no man gets pity
That ain’t did sh*t, he just gets did sh*tty
While I’m alive, we gon’ sit pretty
Whеn I die, I don’t know if I might ever see thе holy ghost
Don’t know where I’m going, but I know that I ain’t going broke
But I wanna see X, and I wanna see Peep
So I pray to Juice WRLD every time I go to sleep

I’m beyond grateful and blessed to have you all along every step of the journey.”

Giveon finished his statement by hinting at a new chapter in his career, saying, “I decided to combine both of my first two eps into one project: When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time. I also added a new song to the project… the end of a chapter means the start of a new one..”
