NBA YoungBoy Arrested After Running From Federal Authorities: Report

He’s been involved in a string of legal troubles in recent years and on Monday (March 22), it’s reported that NBA YoungBoy is tacking another onto the list. The report doesn’t have much information as it’s a developing story, but TMZ claims that the Los Angeles Police Department and federal authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle that YoungBoy was riding in because “he has an outstanding federal warrant.” However, things didn’t go according to plan.

It’s unclear what part of the city this took place, but the outlet states that there was a “short pursuit” of the vehicle after it didn’t immediately stop for authorities. When it did, things continued to spiral as it’s reported that NBA YoungBoy decided to flee on foot, but he didn’t get far. Police moved into action to find the rapper and even brought out a K-9 that eventually found YoungBoy’s location. Fortunately, he wasn’t bitten or injured by the animal.

A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered a firearm, but it’s unclear who the weapon belongs to. YoungBoy has had multiple run-ins with authorities over alleged and reported shootings, assaults, drug possession, and firearms. Last September, he was arrested while reportedly filming a music video and later, YoungBoy stood accused of being involved in an assault. After being released from jail in 2019, the rapper was initially ordered to house arrest.

We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.

Gervonta Davis Indicted On Several Charges Related To Hit-And-Run Crash: Report

There’s another fight on the horizon for Gervonta Davis, but this time it’s a legal one. The champion boxer first found himself in trouble with the law back in November 2020 after he was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run accident in downtown Baltimore. According to a report by The Baltimore Sun, it was on November 5 when Davis was photographed at a nearby club where he was believed to be celebrating a recent boxing win. Later, police identified Davis as the second driver involved in a crash that left a woman with “fairly serious injuries,” according to her lawyer.

On  Monday (March 22), it was announced that Davis was indicted on several misdemeanor charges including “failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failure to render reasonable assistance to an injured person, driving on a suspended license and related charges.” Davis was reportedly riding in a Lamborghini that ran a red light and crashed into the reported victim’s 2004 Toyota Solara. The latter vehicle, which reportedly had four people inside aged 18 to 20, would later be described as “destroyed” as the Lambo, which had no license plates, also hit a fence and was no longer driveable.

The Baltimore Sun further states that Davis could be looking at years of jail time if convicted. The identity of the alleged victims has not been shared. It’s believed that Davis was injured in the accident but that has not been confirmed. Witnesses reportedly told authorities that after the accident, a black Camaro arrived at the scene, took items from the Lamborghini, and Davis and a woman fled the scene. The event was reportedly captured on surveillance footage.

Lil Yachty Drops “No More Beatboxing” Freestyle

Coi Leray’s family drama might be spilling into the public eye but she’s still riding high. With the release of “No More Parties (Remix)” ft. Lil Durk, and the upcoming collab with Pooh Shiesty, she’s well on her way to establishing her name independently from the drama. The true key to a hit single is when it starts getting remixed by others. Lil Yachty popped out earlier today with a brand new remix of Coi Leray’s single, mashed up with a remix of SpottemGottem’s “Beat Box” for his new freestyle, “No More Beatboxing Freestyle.” On the first half, the rapper takes on the more “bubblegum trap” stylings he introduced at the early stages of his career before diving into the ferocious production of Spottem’s single while revealing that Kanye West once tried to sign him when he was 18-years-old.

Check it out below.

Yak Yola & Lil Gotit Dive Into Their Vices On “Pill Poppin”

Alamo Records is truly a powerhouse in the rap game right now. With artists like Lil Durk, Rod Wave, and 03 Greedo leading the team, Alamo’s also been introducing a ton of new talent in recent times. Gritty talent, too, that isn’t necessarily meant to appeal to the radio airwaves. West Philadelphia rapper Yak Yola has been steadily blowing up, especially after his collaboration with King Von “Slide” dropped a few months back.

Yak Yola continues his triumphant run through the rap game this week with the release of his latest single, “Pill Poppin” with fellow Alamo signee Lil Gotit. The two rappers collide over a chaotic instrumental with contrasting styles. Yak’s aggression is reminiscent of the Philly battle rappers that came from the West side of the city, though Lil Gotit’s delivers delicate melodies doused in auto-tune that’s reminiscent slightly reminiscent of Travis Scott.

aggression and grit as they detail the rockstar lifestyle led by guns and drugs.

NCAA Apologizes About Women’s Weight Room After Video Goes Viral: Report

It’s been a rough few days for the NCAA after the league was criticized for their men’s and women’s weight rooms. Oregon Ducks player Sedona Prince first brought attention to the controversy after sharing a video online. In the clip, Prince displays the women’s weight room—a set of barbells—and the men’s facility that hosted all of the amenities that a sports player would need. The video went viral and soon, professional NBA and WNBA players came forward to condemn the NCAA for unfair treatment of women.

After receiving backlash, the women’s weight room was quickly stocked and NCAA President Mark Emmert spoke with reporters about the issue. “I want to be really clear. This is not something that should have happened and, should we ever conduct a tournament like this again, will ever happen again,” said Emmert.

Lynn Holzman, NCAA’s Vice President of Women’s Basketball, also reportedly stated that they “fell short” because women were supposed to receive a full weight room at the third round of the tournament while men received theirs from the beginning. According to NPR, weight rooms are the least of their worries as other differences are being brought to light including men players receiving “buffet with steak fillets and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese” while women get “uninspiring box meals.” Men also reportedly get much larger swag bags for the event.

Bobby Brown Jr.’s Cause Of Death Revealed As Accidental Overdose: Report

Following reports that there was a “security hold” placed on the autopsy of Bobby Brown Jr., 28-year-old’s cause of death has been revealed. It was in November of last year when the tragic news was shared that Brown Jr. was found unresponsive in his home by emergency responders and declared dead at the scene. This loss adds to a series of unfortunate events in New Edition legend Bobby Brown’s life after the deaths of his ex-wife Whitney Houston, their daughter Bobbi Kristina, and Bobbi’s significant other, Nick Gordon in recent years.

It’s unclear if Bobby Brown Jr.’s family was made aware of his cause of death at an earlier date, but on Monday (March 22), it was shared with the public that he passed away due to an accidental overdose. There were reportedly multiple factors involved including cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol. Whitney Houston and Nick Gordon both died as a result of overdoses, and while the same is speculated for Bobbi Kristina, what led to her being found face-down in a bathtub in 2015 remains unknown.

Prior to his passing, Brown Jr. reportedly told his loved ones he was experiencing flu-like symptoms, but it wasn’t believed to be COVID-19-related. “Please keep my family in your prayers at this time,” grieving father Bobby Brown previously shared in a statement. “Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family. There are no words to explain the pain.”

Kylie Jenner Explains Herself After Make-Up Artist’s GoFundMe Controversy

Kylie Jenner has been under fire over the weekend, though that’s nothing new. The billionaire mogul had the internet roasting her after she shared a GoFundMe page in support of a make-up artist Samuel Rauda who was raising funds for medical bills after getting into an accident. Most felt that it was a tad bit tone-deaf that she, a billionaire, would be asking people in the midst of a pandemic to help foot her friend’s medical bills.

The beauty mogul took to Instagram today where she addressed the “false narrative” that she’s getting money from fans to help pay her make-up artist’s medical bill. Off the rip, she made it clear that Samuel Rauda isn’t her make-up artist, nor have they had a relationship for some time but describes him as “the sweetest.”

“I saw my current makeup artist repost about Sam’s accident and his family’s GoFundMe and i called Ariel immediately to see what happened to Sam,” she wrote, explaining that the GoFundMe page was set at $10K and was already at $6K by the time she was on the page. She explained that she donated $5K to reach the original goal of $10k. “[I] thought I’d post on my stories to gain more awareness if anyone else felt compelled to share or donate. I don’t know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers, and love towards Sam.”

Kylie concluded that she’s a genuinely giving and helpful person with true intentions before encouraging her fans to share a bit of positivity. Check her post below.
