He’s currently celebrating the release of his joint album with Harry Fraud, The Plugs I Met 2, but last November, fans of Benny The Butcher were concerned about the rapper. News broke that Benny was in Houston at a Walmart when he was getting out of his Rolls Royce before being approached by a group of men. The thieves demanded that Benny and his associates turn over their cash and jewelry, but instead, ABC 13 reported that Benny decided to flee the scene. As he ran off, the men opened fire and shot him in the leg. No one else was reportedly injured and the Buffalo rapper made a full recovery.
Benny recently revisited the incident while on Big Facts Podcast.” I know people wanna hear me talk about that Houston sh*t,” said Benny. “I want people to know that whatever happened, happened. I’m a street n*gga. I’m not nowhere cryin’ off of that and I’m more famous than I thought I was.” He added, “I had just split up with some n*ggas that I was with. We were going to a party. I had just grabbed crazy sh*t from the mall and I needed some under clothes. I needed some wife beaters and sh*t.”
“Them n*ggas was dumb for that. Them n*ggas was dumb,” he continued. “I feel like n*ggas really didn’t want no jewelry. They try to take my dignity and my integrity but I’m solid as they come… I done took sh*t from n*ggas. That’s part of the game. That’s how it go.” Benny said he doesn’t hide from anyone and will “go anywhere,” but he’s grateful that he was able to see another day.
“That’s the most important thing,” he said. “You see these n*ggas lose they life. F*ck all that other sh*t. N*ggas lose they life. In that situation right there, I want n*ggas to know I done been through fifty worse incidents than that that couldn’t have even prevented me from being here than that sh*t. At least fifty worse incidents… N*ggas can’t trick me out the streets. I came too far.”

Those signature gold grills are a thing of the past for 21 Savage. Recently, there has been a rise in the number of rappers who have opted to get a new set of pearly whites and they’ve taken to Instagram to show them off. Lil Yachty couldn’t stop staring at his veneers while on Instagram Live with fans and NBA YoungBoy was in the dentist’s office while giving a first look at his new smile. YFN Lucci also decided to switch things up and the internet couldn’t get enough of Plies grinning from ear to ear with his new teeth.
Fans have been enjoying watching rappers sport their looks sans iced out grills, and recently, 21 Savage stole hearts after he posted a photo of himself with a new smile. In 24 hours, the photo has amassed 1.5 million likes and plenty of the rapper’s friends had something to say. “Very rare sell this as an NFT,” Metro Boomin teased.
Aside from the jokes, 21 was also the target of trolls who attempted to dismiss his new look because his teeth are fake. He recently bragged that he purchased the home next door to his own because he doesn’t like neighbors and he’s often seen flaunting his luxury vehicles, but it’s all worth it for Lil Yachty. The life of a rapper can be expensive if they’re enjoying the fruits of their labors to the maximum extent, and during his visit to the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Yachty revealed just how much he’s dishing out monthly and broke down a few expenses.
“Every month, I got $52,000 in bills,” the rapper told the podcast hosts. “And I have to work. Let’s say I got $13 million in the bank, right? If my overhead is $52,000 every month because of houses and my staff and cars and insurance and all these things I take care of, and all these people, that thirteen will run down because that’s just the bills. I still like to live. I’m still a rapper. I still want to go to nice dinners, fly my girl out, or go to see my girl. We still want to do all these things.”
He added that it’s important to have more than one source of income because “you have to be making money while you’re sleeping.” Elsewhere, Yachty took an opportunity to throw another verbal jab toward VladTV. “It’s been a minute since I did an interview,” said Yachty. “I hate a lot of interviews because they always twist like—Vlad for instance, he’s a b*tch—I hate n*ggas like him because they take your words and they twist it… Vlad’s a b*tch and he’s a federal agent.” Check out the interview in full below.

It’s unbelievable to think that this Fall will mark three years since Kim Porter unexpectedly passed away at her Toluca Lake, Calif. home, but her loved ones continue to her legacy, especially her children. Quincy Brown is Porter’s eldest child and he remains steadfast in honoring his mother at every turn. He recently partnered with Google for a new campaign and used the opportunity to pay tribute to his late mother for Women’s History Month.
“Kim Porter was coined the First Lady of Hip Hop, a trailblazer, a trend-setter for Black girls everywhere, but for me, she simply was my mama,” said the 29-year-old artist on Instagram. “She filled my life with a multitude of firsts. She was there to give me hugs and kisses and just fill my life with pure unconditional love. I was a rebel growing up, my thoughts were different, ideas were different. Especially everyone else in school.” Quincy went on to praise his mother for motivating, challenging, and embracing him for all that he is, even if that means going against the grain.
The singer also shared more about his mother with PEOPLE. “I chose to highlight my mom [for Women’s History Month] because she definitely was and still is the most important woman in my life,” he said. “Any time something comes across my way and I think of her first, that means something, and this is one of those no-brainers. She’s had that much of an impact on me to where I can talk about her every day for the rest of my life.”

Back in February, it was reported that NBA Youngboy was under federal investigation. The rapper had been arrested in Baton Rouge back in September at a video shoot alongside 16 others for guns and weapons charges, and the FBI was looking into his involvement. Apparently, NBA Youngboy was issued a warrant but had never appeared in court. However, all that changed Monday when police were finally able to catch up with him.
According to a report from CBS Los Angeles, Youngboy was driving in the Tarzana neighborhood of LA when police noticed he had an outstanding warrant. They attempted to pull him over, but he refused and prompted a short pursuit. Once the car was finally stopped, police say he fled the scene on foot. Officers set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 to help track him down. TMZ claims that the K-9 did not bite the rapper, just sniffed him out.
It’s unclear why police had initially issued a warrant against NBA Youngboy. After he was arrested in September on firearm charges, he was released the next day on bail and his representative proclaimed he was “innocent of the crimes he was arrested for.”

He’s the latest rapper to sit down with VladTV for a lengthy, extensive interview, but that may have been Yung Bleu’s last for a while. The Alabama rapper joins the list of artists who talk about their careers and pop culture with the famed interviewer, but over on Twitter, Bleu shared an update on future discussions with reporters. The rapper managed to dodge a few controversial questions pertaining to some of his beefs or the ongoing case involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, however, it was too much for the time being.
“I’m done with interviews for a while the captions be so misleading,” Bleu tweeted over the weekend. He didn’t specify what interview or caption he’s referring to, but because his most recently released sit-down with VladTV has been arriving in parts over the past week, many have assumed he’s speaking about this one.
During his chat with Vlad, Bleu was asked about YK Osiris and the singer’s wardrobe controversy that turned into trolling from Mustard and 21 Savage. Another Hollywood couple is calling it quits. We previously reported that comedian Gary Owen and his wife, Kenya Duke, have decided to part ways after 18-years-old marriage. Owen is known for his jokes about being in an interracial relationship as well as his love for Black women, and while he often speaks out on pop culture, Owen has remained quiet about his personal life. Since the film’s initial production, we’ve heard about the many new additions to the Fast & Furious franchise from Cardi B to Ozuna, but this new cast member is closer to the Furious family than you think. Vin Diesel’s 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, will make his big-screen debut as the younger version of Vin’s character, Dominic Toretto.
According to TMZ, the young actor has a contract to be paid a daily rate of $1,005. Fans may remember a flashback scene of a young Dominic in Furious 7 played by an actor named Alex McGee, but now we will get to see if talent runs in the family.
While the 9th installment of Fast & Furious is set to be released on June 25th, Fast & Furious 10 already has a release date for April 2, 2022.
The Fast saga is set to end with the 11th film. Of course, it has already been confirmed that the Fast & Furious crew is going to space. Although Furious 11 is scheduled to be the last film in the main franchise, several spin-offs are on the way.
