Brockhampton Announces The Title And Release Date Of Their New Album

Chaotic hip-hop supergroup Brockhampton is a little under two years removed from their last full-length project, Ginger. Although their 2020 saw the release of a solid spate of singles — which have all been pulled down since — they were otherwise off the radar for most of the past year. They poked their heads above ground earlier this week with the release of the Danny Brown-featuring “Buzzcut,” presaging an impending return. Now, we know just when that return will be with the announcement of their new album.

Titled Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, the next project will drop on April 9, accompanied by a live-streamed concert from Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu. According to a press release, it was inspired by the events of 2020, which forced the once tight-knit group to come to grips with growing up, growing apart, and reconnecting as life slowed down for the whole world.

It’ll also come with a limited edition box set featuring a T-shirt in black, blue, or white and a CD of the album with four additional bonus tracks. The band’s also made some musical changes as well; in-house producer Jabari Manwa will contribute vocals, while the group is also set to collaborate outside of their immediate circle for the first time.

Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine is out 4/9 on Question Everything/RCA Records. You can pre-order a limited edition box set here.

Miguel Announces His Impending Return, ‘Art Dealer Chic Vol. 4’

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from genre-bending R&B singer Miguel, but it looks like the wait for new material from the Grammy winner is almost over. Today, he announced the impending release of his return project, Art Dealer Chic Vol. 4 — the continuation of his popular blog-era EP series which introduced songs like “Adorn,” “Arch N Point,” and the original version of “Candles In The Sun, Blowin In The Wind” — on April 9.

And, as a bonus, Miguel also made the first three editions of Art Dealer Chic available on DSPs for the first time, allowing fans to play “Gravity,” “Ooh Aah!,” and “Party Life” from Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.

Miguel capped a relatively quiet 2020 with the release of the video for his 2019 single “Funeral,” which not only ended the drought of new solo songs from the singer but also teased the impending return of the Art Dealer Chic series. “The Art Dealer Chic EPs have always been reserved for freedom, self-curation, and honest expression without the influence of music industry politics,” he explained at the time. “I’m excited to introduce my fans to a very different world in my creative expression, and that begins with ADC 4.”

Quotable Lyrics

I feel used and abused
So I started doing it too
But I never did it to you, oh no, oh no
So why you do it to me, baby?
Sounds so stupid to me

“HAPPY 25YR ANNIVERSARY TO MY 1ST SOLO ALBUM #THECOMING,” captions Busta, alongside a heartfelt video message. “NUFF SAID!! LET’S CELEBRATE!!!!! LET’S ALWAYS CLAIM THE DIVINE!!” The clip itself finds Busta covering similar territory, stating “happy twenty-fifth anniversary to my first solo album ever, The Coming. March 26th, 1996. The evolution of the Dragon happened. So I’ma say this again. Everybody that’s been with me since that day to now and beyond, I couldn’t have done this shit without ya’ll. I love ya’ll, I salute ya’ll, I thank ya’ll.”

Chris Brown Shows Off Massive New Leg Tattoos

Chris Brown is officially running out of room on his body to get new tattoos, filling up the lower portion of both of his legs with some meaningful ink that will always remind him of his two babies: Royalty and Aeko.

Recently appearing in the music video for “Already Best Friends” with Jack Harlow, Chris Brown has been laying low as of late, plotting out his next moves as he plans the release of his next studio album. With his diehard fans catching hints everywhere about what’s to come, including more collaborations with Clever, which the artist told us during a recent interview on Instagram Live, Breezy is getting busy by getting a couple of massive new tattoos on his shins, getting the names of his children inked on his legs.

“MY WORLD ON MY LEGS,” wrote CB on Instagram, posting a picture of the Ganga-designed pieces. The artist has previously tattooed the likes of Post Malone, Tyga, Jason Derulo, Travis Barker, Lil Pump, and others. On his left leg, outside shading spells out the name of his firstborn child Royalty. On the right leg, he’s got Aeko’s name shaded in.

Chris has proven to be a loving father of his two kids, always posting them on social media and promising to be the best dad that he can be for them. He missed a few months of his son’s life as Aeko and his mother were stuck in Germany during the earlier months of the pandemic but it looks like Chris can see his babies whenever he wants now.

What do you think of his new tattoos?

MoneyBagg Yo Speaks On Lil Baby Collab Project Possibility

MoneyBagg Yo and Lil Baby are two artists who are at the top of their game right now and over the years, they have given fans some incredible collaborations. All the way back in 2018, the two dropped “All Of A Sudden,” and in 2020, they gave us songs like “U Played” and “No Sucker.” All three of these tracks were big hits amongst fans and over the last year or so, supporters have been wondering if the two had any plans to link up for even more songs.

In our latest Digital Cover with MoneyBagg Yo, we asked him about the topic of Lil Baby, and as you can imagine, he has always enjoyed working with the Atlanta artist. MoneyBagg Yo notes that the two have some incredible chemistry and that there are always talks between them when it comes to working together.

“There was a conversation when we first made “All of a Sudden,” and then there was another conversation right before we made “You Played.” So it’s just in the talks. I just feel like everything is timing,” MoneyBagg Yo said to the idea of a collaborative project. “I feel that the fans should be a little more patient, maybe it’ll happen, maybe it won’t, like you said, we got a great track record of songs together so if I feel like we continue to do that– We’ll just keep putting out good songs together.”

These comments should come as good news to fans who have been hoping for them to get together again. Of course, it may take a while but like all good things, the wait will be well worth it.

MoneyBagg Yo Regrets Releasing J. Cole Song When He Did

It’s not every day that an artist gets to work with another musician that’s widely considered to be one of the greatest of their generation. MoneyBagg Yo had that chance back in 2018 when he collaborated with North Carolina’s very own J. Cole. Their song “Say Na” was impactful off of Bagg’s RESET album, generating a lot of attention for the full body of work, but even still, the rapper thinks he pulled the trigger a little early on releasing it.

While the song still goes hard as ever, as MoneyBagg Yo told HNHH in the latest digital cover story, he wishes he would have released “Say Na” at a later date, noting that, in retrospect, he realized it would have made a bigger impact.

“I wish I would’ve waited on the J. Cole feature I had,” said Bagg during his conversation with Aron A. “I feel like it would’ve been– it would’ve impacted differently. I feel like that. There’s a few more, my whole Heartless album that I did, I feel like it would be the perfect timing.”

Heartless, which evolved into a series, was originally released in 2017, and featured guest verses from Lil Durk and YFN Lucci. As Moneybagg says, it’s another body of work he wishes he held off on releasing until later on his career.

“It’s so many good songs and so much good music I made in the past that I put out that I wish I would’ve had at this time right now,” said MoneyBagg Yo. “I feel like this is the time to be alive. This is the most important time in my life right now. It’s going too crazy, right now. A lot of that stuff got overlooked. Like, I be rapping some hard bars– like, even with my girl. I be rapping some old hard bars and she’s like, ‘This out? Is this out? When are you putting it out? You need to put that out.’ I’m like, this is already out. This, like, years old. That helps me understand that if I would have been patient and not trying to put all this music out because it’ll help me get to the next level fast.”

Do you think “Say Na” and Heartless would hit differently if they were released in 2021? Revisit the song below.
