Pooh Shiesty Responds To Kodak Black Comment

Kodak Black has seemingly taken issue with Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, who has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting rising stars in hip-hop. One mere week after claiming that Kodak was one of his biggest inspirations in music, Pooh Shiesty started a short-lived feud with the Project Baby over the origins of the money-spreading trend on Instagram. Kodak claimed that he started the fad, but Pooh told the rapper that he’s been spreading for years before Kodak was even relevant.

While it appears as though they squashed their beef, a timely comment made by Pooh Shiesty on Monday on social media caught fans off-guard. The “Back In Blood” rapper said the following on Instagram on the same day that the news circuit focused on the targeted shooting of Kodak Black’s entourage: “Anybody That Got Smoke With Me Got Shot At Or They Tried To Fix It.” Considering the timing of the post, many believed that Pooh might have been dry-snitching on himself. However, Kodak commented on the post, saying, “I Can Relate Lil Bra I Can Relate.”

The exchange has left people wondering what the status of their relationship truly is. Are Pooh Shiesty and Kodak Black at war or are they friends? According to Pooh, it’s the latter. When somebody asked if Kodak was trolling him, Pooh said that he doubts that’s the case. “No that’s bro,” wrote the Shiesty Season star in response.

Kodak Black was uninjured in the shooting, but his security guard was hit in the leg and rushed to the hospital. Kodak reportedly went to a McDonald’s in Tallahassee following a festival performance at 3 AM when his team was followed and shot at. We will keep you posted as more information is released regarding the shooting.

What do you think of the exchange between Pooh Shiesty and Kodak Black?

Kim Kardashian Officially Valued At Over $1 Billion

Those of you that have been snickering about Kim Kardashian’s pocketbooks after she filed for divorce from multi-billionaire Kanye West won’t be happy to hear that the social media savvy businesswoman has officially reached the billion-dollar mark herself, according to the latest report by Forbes.

With the success of her KKW Beauty and SKIMS shapewear brands, Kim Kardashian has seen her net worth multiply in recent years. While her soon-to-be-ex-husband swooned over her finances last year, prematurely welcoming his wife to the billionaire’s team, Forbes was quick to specify that the reality television star was not yet an official member of the club. Some months have gone by and the publication has re-evaluated her net worth, revealing that she has finally passed that point, becoming a billionaire at 40-years-old.

Forbes estimates that Kim is up from $780 million in October, with much of her new billionaire status owed to her KKW Beauty and SKIMS brands.

Back when she made the cover of Forbes in 2016, Kim said, “Not bad for a girl with no talent.” She has been criticized for years because of a supposed lack of talent, but she’s been able to prove all of her haters wrong by out-performing all of the expectations.

Congratulations to Kim Kardashian on becoming a billionaire!

Anderson .Paak Wants “Leave The Door Open” To Return To #1

It can be a cutthroat environment whenever the Billboard Hot 100 updates come around. With everybody vying for that number one spot, a position decisively occupied by Lil Nas X and his controversial single “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),” Anderson .Paak has recently come forward to campaign for his and Bruno Mars’ hit single “Leave The Door Open,” which currently sits comfortably in third place.

Being that Bruno Mars is no stranger to the top, having boasted no shortage of number-one singles in his day, Anderson .Paak implored fans to think of his friend and Silk Sonic partner’s well-being. “If you could find it in your heart to stream our single a bit more that would be sick!” writes .Paak, in an Instagram post celebrating “Leave The Door Open” cracking 100 million views on YouTube. “[Bruno Mars] is having a hard time coping with 3rd place. He said he’s not used to that shit. So let’s rally for number 1 y’all! #WhatYouDoin #PrayForBruno.”

Of course, it’s clear that .Paak is merely poking fun at Mars’ hitmaking pedigree, a testament to their camaraderie both inside and outside of the booth. Yet there’s likely truth to his desire in seeing “Leave The Door Open” regain the position it once held at the top, before Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” and Lil Nas X’s “Montero” came through to shake things up. Though Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO” may feel like an unstoppable juggernaut at the moment, there’s something undeniably universal about the simple notion of musicians doing what they do best, and the old-school charm of “Leave The Door Open” may very well translate into longevity down the road.

Check out Anderson .Paak’s playful call to action below, and should your disposition be a generous one, consider running those “Leave The Door Open” numbers up whenever you get the chance.

Wichita-born rapper 199X is starting to pick up some buzz, putting on for his city and garnering a lot of attention following his recent move to Los Angeles. After spending time in different parts of the country, including Florida and Atlanta, 199X seems to have found a place that works for him, making moves in recent months as he continues to grow his name. Celebrating his recent success, 199X sat down with the BagFuel guys, Hynaken and E$$O, to chat about everything that’s been going on in his life and career.

Early on in their chat, 199X got to speaking about his origins, touching on his early work with guys like XXXTentacion, Ski Mask the Slump God, wifisfuneral, and others Florida rap staples. During his tenure at Full Sail University, 199X also worked with Tyla Yaweh, regularly making music at the studio that the Post Malone-signee would end up sleeping many nights at. He says that he was inspired by those guys and their grind to get hungrier with his own music. Starting off as more of a behind-the-scenes type of guy, 199X might have been getting some important songwriting and production placements but he admits that he wasn’t happy, which is when he realized he needed to become more consistent with his own music, producing, writing his own raps, and more.

People have told the Wichita native that he’s a better businessman than he is a musician, so only time will tell where the journey takes him, but 199X is aware of his purpose and he’s fighting to reach his goals in the ever-crowded music industry. Check out this young artist and be sure to stay on the journey with him if you’re feeling him.

Tierra Whack Returns With New Single “Link”

Tierra Whack may not operate under the busiest schedule, but the scarcity with which she drops makes every release feel like a special occasion. And while many are still patiently waiting for the lyricist to deliver a studio album follow-up to Whack World, one can not rush an artist who so carefully moves at their own pace. Today, Whack has come through to deliver a new single in “Link,” a bubbly and melodic track that comes complete with some colorful visuals.

Conceptually, much of “Link” draws inspiration from LEGO, with whom she partnered for the accompanying music video. “Orange, green, yellow,
purple, red,” she raps. “Building up an empire, taking over the entire world, so many pieces, leave em all speechless.” While some might have been hoping to see her picking up where her “Whack History Month” freestyles left off, “Link” effectively showcases Whack’s versatility, proving once again that one must always expect the unexpected whenever she drops new music.

Check it out for yourself now, and sound off if you’re eager to see a complete project from Tierra Whack.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Queen of the block
I can make it stack,

Creating something special
Orange, green, yellow, purple, red
Building up an empire

6-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Finds A Bullet In Hot Cheetos

Elmo, Montana resident Bow Horn Weasel claims that his six-year-old son found a bullet at the bottom of a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and he wants to get to the bottom of this situation with Frito-Lay.

According to a report by TMZ, Weasel reportedly purchased a bag of chips for his son over Easter Weekend, which his six-year-old ate before inspecting the bottom of the bag. He allegedly pulled out a bullet, which is pictured in a message that Weasel sent to Frito-Lay, the parent company of Cheetos. The bullet appears to have red powder on it, which is consistent with the coating of Flamin’ Hots

“Good afternoon, I found a bullet in one of your bags of chips,” said Weasel in his message to Frito-Lay on Facebook. The company responded, asking the man to contact them directly to get to the root of the issue. “Buford, we take these matters very seriously,” they allegedly replied. “We would like to talk with you directly. Please call [redacted] and ask for a specialist so we can get all the facts. If you still have the bag, please have it near you so we can uncover more details. Thanks!”

Weasel says he isn’t looking for compensation– he simply wants Frito-Lay to ensure that this sort of thing never happens a second time

Travis Scott Names His Favorite DMX Song

DMX remains hospitalized on life support for the fourth consecutive day. Yesterday, hundreds of fans rallied at the White Plains Hospital in New York for a prayer vigil in X’s honor.

It’s a difficult time, during which many in the hip-hop community have stepped forward to voice support for the legendary rapper. Eminem, with whom DMX collaborated on “Go To Sleep,” offered prayers. The majority of his fellow Ruff Ryders alumni — Eve, Swizz Beatz, Drag-On, Styles P, and more — stepped up for their former labelmate. The list goes on, a testament to the scope of DMX’s impact and influence over his peers. Even those hailing from hip-hop’s newer generation hold an appreciation for his deep catalog of classic records.

As it happens, TMZ recently caught up with Travis Scott and inquired about the rapper’s favorite DMX song. Without hesitating, Travis called out “What’s My Name,” an incendiary highlight off X’s 1999 album …And Then There Was X. The track, produced by Self and Irv Gotti, was actually the project’s lead single — surprising to imagine, given how vastly the mainstream commercial landscape has altered. Consider that DMX was coming off the release of back-to-back number one albums, and the aggressive “What’s My Name” made it abundantly clear that his hunger and drive hadn’t faded in the slightest.

Travis Scott also made sure to show love to DMX, declaring it to be “X For Life” before pulling off. Clearly, the influence of DMX knows no boundaries, with three undisputed classic albums to his name among other notable musical highlights.

Check out Travis Scott’s message for DMX below, and be sure to keep the legend in your thoughts as he continues to fight for his life.
