Chika Says She’s Suicidal & Retiring From Music

We’re sending love and light to Grammy-nominated rapper Chika, who revealed over the weekend that she struggles with suicidal thoughts following controversy on Twitter. On Sunday, the Alabama-based rising star announced that she’s retiring from music as a direct result of the constant scrutiny she has faced from bullies. Almost immediately, she was inundated with a flood of hateful messages, which she fought back against.

Posting a video where she speaks directly to the trolls, Chika said that she doesn’t care about her haters being suicidal. “I don’t give a f*ck about any one of you stans being suicidal, in fact, I hope you all are,” she said in a video. “Guess what? I am too, and have been and it has very little to do with you guys because nothing you do matters. Let me repeat that. Nothing you do matters. You’re nobody. The only thing you do is dog-pile on top of people’s other mental problems and make them worse. I came on here today and said I’m retiring because that’s where I’m at physically, mentally, and emotionally. And you stupid b*tches flooded my comments immediately, not knowing what I’m going through but you want me to give a good goddamn about you and your stupid-ass stan friends? No, you can kill yourself too. Let’s do it together, let’s make a suicide pact, you dumb f*cks.”

While Chika was understandably reactionary in her response to the bullying, she probably should have thought before posting this video. The response came following her initial post teasing her retirement, where she spoke about wishing death on those that have harassed her.

We’re praying for Chika and hope that she’s surrounded by people who love her at this time. Chika’s latest post was made a few days ago and she has not been active since then.

Dustin Poirier Calls Out Conor McGregor For Skipping $500K Donation

Conor McGregor was defeated by Dustin Poirier back in January at UFC 257 and since that time, they have planned yet another match which is set to go down in July. Prior to their bout a few months ago, McGregor actually promised Poirier a massive $500K donation to his foundation called “The Good Fight.” At the time, Poirier was incredibly grateful although now, things have soured as McGregor has yet to fork over the money.

@TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January,” Poirier wrote. This was immediately followed up by McGregor who said: “A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.”

Poirier wasn’t going to let McGregor get the last word in on the matter, as he noted that McGregor should have kept his end of the deal, especially since a charity is involved.

“100% never a debt. You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again,” Poirier said.

Regardless of whether or not McGregor ever pays up, this is turning out to be solid fodder for their trilogy fight, and we can’t wait to see how it all goes down.

Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Minnesota. Protests have started following reports of Wright’s death, with tear gas and curfews reportedly being imposed in Brooklyn Center, where Wright was killed. “Be safe, go home,” reportedly said the mayor.

A woman who identified herself as Wright’s mother says that the 20-year-old was pulled over because of air fresheners hanging in his rearview mirror. In a police statement, Brooklyn Center authorities claim that the driver had an outstanding warrant. When they allegedly tried to arrest him, Wright reportedly re-entered his vehicle. Then, an officer shot Wright before he drove away and struck a vehicle a couple of blocks away. Wright reportedly was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in the passenger seat reportedly suffered minor injuries.
