Pardison Fontaine Jokes With Megan Thee Stallion About Viral Moment: “Pardi, Don’t Start”

It was a moment that had Megan Thee Stallion’s fans hurling insults and accusations at Pardison Fontaine, but now both artists are able to laugh about it. While celebrating her birthday with her friends last month, an Instagram Live moment went viral after Pardison is heard yelling while Megan is in another room. He told them they had five seconds before he was coming in and seemed upset, and soon, the internet lit up with allegations and strangers sharing their opinions about Megan and Pardi’s budding relationship.

Megan Thee Stallion came forward to defend Fontaine as she sang his praises and it didn’t take long for everyone to brush the incident under the rug as the couple returned to fawning over one another. Proving that a little viral backlash isn’t something that can keep him down, Pardison teased Megan in a video that hosted a similar scenario.

In the clip, Megan looks to be in another room while Pardison smiles and says, “Tell Megan to come to the door.” Viewers can hear Meg on the other side say, “Oh, Pardi, don’t start.” Instead, he continues, “Right now!” Everyone starts to laugh as Fontaine attempts to continue, but even he contain himself

“You crazy!” said Megan. Check out the clip below.

Chika Shares A Look At How Nike Custom-Made Her Pastel 2021 Grammys Outfit

This year was Chika‘s first time being nominated for a Grammy. She was up for Best New Artist, meaning she turned up to the awards show in style. After fans swooned over her outfit, the rapper shared a closer look at how Nike custom-made her clothes.

Detailing the process in a series of tweets, Chika shared a few mock-up images the designer had sketched for her. Moneybagg Yo Explains Why A Grammy Doesn’t Define Him: “It Ain’t Nun But A Trophy”

Regardless of the controversies regarding artist snubs and criticisms about their voting process, the Grammy Awards are still hailed as one of the most coveted wins in the music industry. However, many artists are stepping away from holding the Grammys as a standard of validation of their artistry. The Weeknd won’t submit his music to The Recording Academy in the future and it’s reported that Beyoncé opted not to perform this year following rumors that she and Megan Thee Stallion were in talks to grace the stage to deliver “Savage (Remix).” Moneybagg Yo even took to Twitter to explain why he, too, no longer holds the Grammys in such high regard.

“I used to want a Grammy so bad til I realized it ain’t nun but a trophy,” tweeted the rapper. “That don’t determine who u is or what u done accomplished.” People began to criticize Moneybagg and some suggested that he was salty because he hasn’t been nominated. “Ian never f*cked up bout nun lol.”

“I remember when people could voice they opinion but now the whole world tender as hell bout everything [crying laughing emoji] why y’all mad?” Still, the rapper did retweet and co-sign a fan who stated that he deserved a Grammy for “Said Sum.” Meanwhile, Moneybagg Yo certainly doesn’t have anything to cry about now that Pharrell Williams has named him his “favorite, favorite, favorite, right now” during a recent conversation on the OTHERtone podcast.

“Whenever he decides that he doesn’t want to rap anymore, he should go into denim—because he has so many pockets. His pockets, f*ck! His nickname should be f*ckin’ Denim! He has so many f*ckin’ pockets. Moneybagg Yo is something else.” Check out the rapper’s tweets below.

“I didn’t know how to bring in one, two, three,” said Drake in the clip before he pans to the side and shows Bow Wow standing next to him. In a playful exchange, Drake teases Bow with lyrics from his 2001 track “Thank You.” Bow said, “That’s what you wanna do?” as he and Drizzy laughed, but the Atlanta-based rapper wanted to make sure he gave a congratulatory message to his good friend before signing off.

Drake returned with another video where he co-signed Bow Wow’s influence in the Rap game. He said everyone wanted to get together for drinks and the like, but he had to call Bow to link in person. “If it wasn’t for you, it wouldn’t be no me,” said Drake. “That’s why I’mma rock with y’all forever.”

Tiffany Haddish Surprised With Grammy Win While On Set: “Are You Serious?”

It was a historic moment for Tiffany Haddish after she took home her first Grammy Award win. The famed comedian has endured her fair share of struggles in her life that she’s spoken about candidly in past interviews, including physical abuse at the hands of her mother and spending much of her youth in foster care separated from her siblings. The road to success was windy and difficult for Haddish, and that’s why her fans shed tears while watching the moment she learned that she’d taken home the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album for Black Mitzvah.

In a clip she shared to her Instagram, Tiffany Haddish was on set of Kids Say the Darndest Things when her producer alerted her that she was a Grammy winner. In the caption, Haddish wrote, “The Producers decided to tell me I WON a Grammy while I was interviewing these two young ladies Lauren and Ava, that want to someday be president of the United States of America.”

“I was flooded with a such a since of accomplishment and relief,” Haddish added. “I kinda didn’t know what to say. I just wanted to cry but I knew it would have confused the babies. So I decided to use that moment to teach and share my feelings. Thank you @recordingacademy for the honor.” In the video, the actress spoke directly to the young girls as she motivated and encouraged them to defy all the odds. Check out the moving moment below.

Lil Baby Isn’t Worried About Winning Grammys: “I Ain’t Into It Like That”

The Grammys are behind us, but the buzz about the 63rd ceremony abounds. Lil Baby was one of several performers at Sunday’s (March 14) award show where he gave a moving live rendition of his hit single, “The Bigger Picture.” The track was nominated for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, but unfortunately for the chart-topping star, he didn’t take home either win. Just prior to the Grammy Awards, Baby caught up with MTV News for a virtual chat where he spoke about why winning a Grammy isn’t his main priority.

“I mean, for my people, it’ll mean a lot, but for me, I wake up the same way I went to sleep the night before I won,” he said. “But for my people, just to say I won and just, I’m wit it for that. But just far as me, I ain’t into it like that.” MTV News wanted to know how the rapper was able to stay humble during the craziness of fame.

“For the most part, my body here, but my mind and soul don’t be here. So, a lot of stuff I do, I just let my body do it and my mind be somewhere else. I don’t get too wrapped up into it. To me, I’m a regular dude. But my body, Lil Baby, he famous. In my head, I can kinda step back a little bit and be a regular person. That’s how I stay humble.”

He also doubled down on the rumors that he and Lil Durk are collaborating on a joint album. Lil Baby added that the project doesn’t have a title just yet, but he suspects it’ll be called The Voice of the Heroes. Check out clips from his interview below.

Wu-Tang & Roc Nation Imposter Sentenced To Prison For Defrauding Businesses: Report

We understand that there are many members of the Wu-Tang Clan, but we’d never guess that there are still people who can be scammed by imposters. There are various hustles out there involving fake artists and according to the Department of Justice, 29-year-old Aaron Barnes-Burpo is one of them. They report that the Florida resident pleaded “guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud” after posing as an artist or a member of the famed Hip Hop group’s team.

According to court documents, Barnes-Burpo allegedly worked with his partner, 52-year-old Walker Washington, to defraud businesses. They reportedly told victims that they were “affiliated with the Roc Nation production company and the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan.” Neither man had any dealings with Roc Nation or Wu, but their victims were unaware. As far back as September 2019, Barnes-Burpo and Washington also used stolen credit cards to rent limousines while defrauding production companies, hotels, and caterers. This scam spanned various cities and the pair were able to make thousands.

“Hopefully, some of the businesses that were defrauded by this scam will be able to recoup some of their losses as a result of this sentence,” said Chris Hacker, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta. “This is what happens when you seek a fleeting moment of fame at the expense of others. Neither law enforcement nor the community will tolerate it.”

Both men have pleaded guilty. Washington, an Augusta, Georgia resident, is still awaiting sentencing. Barnes-Burpo was sentenced to 84 months (seven years) in prison and has been “ordered to pay nearly $300,000 to 19 business defrauded in the scheme.” Following his sentence, Barnes-Burpo must also undergo “three years of supervised release.”

Rich The Kid Was Reportedly Arrested At The Airport For Carrying A Loaded Gun

Rich The Kid has had his fair share of legal trouble this past year, and it looks like his run-ins with the law aren’t letting up anytime soon. This time, he’s gotten into trouble with the TSA: The rapper was arrested at an airport Monday afternoon when he was caught carrying a gun through security.

According to a report from TMZ, Rich The Kid was making his way through security at LAX when TSA staff saw a concealed weapon in his carry-on bag. Upon further inspection, they found it was a loaded gun and apprehended him on site. The report states that it’s unclear if police have processed his case, or if he’s currently being detained somewhere.

Ahead of getting busted at LAX, Rich The Kid faced a handful of lawsuits in 2020. He apparently inked a deal with the brand Fashion Nova back in 2018 and was given a $100,000 advance, but he took the money without holding up his end of the promotional deal. Then, Fashion Nova responded last October by hitting him with a $2.1 million lawsuit to cover their damages. Before that, Rich was ordered to pay $1.1 million to his former managers, who claim they had not been paid in three years. He was also hit with a lawsuit over a quarter-million-dollar unpaid jewelry tab, as well as $300K for failing to pay rent on a mansion in Holywood Hills.
