Several months later and the hip-hop community is still shaken up over the passing of King Von, one of the greatest storytellers of his generation. The late 26-year-old had a way with his words, telling authentic tales about his upbringing, his life in the streets, and his O’Block partners. Through his music, the world got to learn about his rough way of life, and right when he started to see a lick of success, everything was abruptly taken away from him.

King Von’s manager Track has been speaking exclusively with VladTV about his former client, the night the rapper was killed, and more about Von. During the latest portion of their conversation to have been released on YouTube, Track talks about Timothy Leeks, also known as Lul Tim, who was accused of pulling the trigger on Von.

When asked if he felt justice after Lul Tim was arrested and charged with Von’s murder, Track says that he honestly didn’t, stating that he wouldn’t wish jail on his worst enemy.

“Honest truth, I wouldn’t wish jail on my worst enemies. That’s just how I am, how I’m built,” said Track. “Honest truth, I could care– that’s his situation and he gotta deal with it. That’s his team. Whatever’s going on with them, that’s on them. Me, personally, I know what I’m dealing with with losing my brother and his family and just making sure we keep everything going. I don’t really think or even consider what’s going on on that side. That’s for them to figure out what they got going on.”

During the same interview, Track calls King Von his generation’s Tupac Shakur after Vlad points out the similarities in the manners with which their lives ended.

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, veteran hitmaker DJ Khaled has come through with a throwback of his own. The “GREECE” artist took to Instagram about an hour ago to give his followers an honest glimpse of his humble beginnings, prior to his massive global fame. In the motivational post, a very young Khaled is seen handing out flyers, and even though he’s doing the grunt work, viewers can still see Khaled’s trademark enthusiasm as a big smile appears on his face.

In the caption, DJ Khaled writes, “#TBT Me on the corner in front of liquids in Miami passing out flyers for my parties shows events . I never waited on no one I just got the job done. I STILL HAVE THE SAME HUNGER NOW.”

The Father Of Asahd artist continues his motivational caption by saying, “YOUNG WORLD LETS BE GREAT BUT BE GRATEFUL AND LETS SPREAD LOVE AND LIGHT ! …YOU CAN WIN BIGGER WIT LOVE AND POSITIVE VIBES ! KHALED KHALED NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS.”

From Khaled’s epic throwback post, fans get both a heavy dose of inspiration courtesy of the “POPSTAR” artist and a good idea of what direction he will be heading in for his next album. By promising that he’s as hungry as he’s ever been, Khaled’s follow-up to Father Of Asahd will probably come packed with hits.

As long as he’s not up against any more “mysterious” music, he’ll probably have the number one spot on the Billboard 200 in the bag.

Russell Wilson has consistently been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the past decade and he even has a Super Bowl victory to his name. Unfortunately for him and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks, the team hasn’t had much playoff success since 2015, and the offensive line has been faltering quite a bit. Now, rumors are spreading that Wilson wants out of Seattle and that a trade is imminent. 

With this being the case, oddsmakers are now giving their predictions on who Wilson will land with. According to SportsLine, the best bet right now would be the Las Vegas Raiders at +300. Right underneath them are the Denver Broncos, and then the Dallas Cowboys.

Some of the other notable teams here are the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and even the New England Patriots. Wilson is one of those players who can influence where he goes and considering he is a high-profile guy who has an entertainer as a wife, it wouldn’t be a shock if he ends up in Miami, although at this point, there is no telling what can truly happen.

On Tuesday, Travis Scott brought his legions of fans to West Hollywood in droves following a spontaneous pop-up appearance at a newstand. Unsurprisingly, his presence was enough to spark rabid pandemonium in the streets, as the rapper found himself swarmed by cheering fans masked and unmasked alike. And while it’s clear that the event served its purpose in raising awareness to his new I-D magazine cover story, it may also have another consequence — this one not quite so positive.

According to a report from TMZ, L.A.’s Dept. of Public Works claimed that no permit was issued for Travis’ gathering, as the city has been reluctant to hand them out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, Travis Scott currently runs the risk of being hit with a fine, as the Public Works are set to be discussing the matter with the City’s Attorney Office. It should be noted that a fine is not guaranteed, but it’s certainly possible that they will look to make an example of the popular rapper. 

Despite the potential safety concerns, all signs point to Scott continuing to do as he pleases, even if it does ultimately lead to a fine or two. In September of 2020, Scott received a fine for pulling a similar stunt at a Downey McDonald’s, which drew a similarly sized crowd; luckily for Scott’ the fine was only $100, a sum he could likely recoup in a matter of seconds. One has to wonder if his history will factor into the City Attorney Office’s decision to issue a citation. Either way, it’s unlikely that Scott will move any differently than he has been doing. Akbar V is spending her Thursday morning trying to get people’s attention, calling out a bunch of high-ranking celebrities in hopes of landing at least one reply. At the beginning of this year, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta rapper tried her luck with Drake, shooting her shot at the Certified Lover Boy. When that seemingly failed, she decided to shift her focus to another well-known artist, asking Chris Brown on a date.

“At this point if i can’t get @Drake i might as well get me another light skin N***a @chrisbrown,” wrote the hilarious reality star on Twitter. “What’s up babe i been rocking with you since #runit #excusemems #yomanaintme #goodbye can i get a date? I’m single blink once if i got a shot babe.”

Chris Brown has not responded to Akbar V yet. He’s not the only person she reached out to. While Breezy may be the only artist she’s got her eyes on romantically, Akbar also shot her professional shot at Kanye West, Diddy, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and more.

“Hey @Diddy good morning it’s Akbar v the Queen of Atlanta One of the dopest rappers out of Atl,” she introduced herself to Puff. “Can you please stop forgetting me when you send out those ciroc packages im very good friends with ur son @JDior_ and i been rocking with u since one more chance ,total, biggie, Mase.”

As for Kanye West, she seemingly wants to work with the legendary artist in the studio. “Hey @kanyewest it’s Akbar v the Queen Of Atl I’m writing you to get a session and have you to produce a song or two for me,” she said. “I been rocking with you since college drop out , Jesus walks one of my favs i really need you in my life you are a music genius …i need you please ye.”

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are among the favorites to win the NBA championship this season. Ever since taking the title in 2020, fans have been hoping for a repeat which would give LeBron his fifth championship. While they had a great start to the regular season, the Lakers are starting to falter as they are without their big man Anthony Davis, due to an injury. Now, LeBron has had to carry the team, and it’s been too much of a burden to bear.

Last night, the Lakers lost in a blowout to the Utah Jazz and as a result, the team is on a four-game losing streak. Considering how much Davis means to the team, this shouldn’t be surprising, although it is certainly worrying if Davis doesn’t end up coming back anytime soon. After last night’s game, LeBron spoke to reporters about the streak, and how he feels about it all.

“It’s a tough stretch for us, but this won’t define who we will be for the rest of the season or the long haul,” LeBron said. Simply put, LeBron knows that these results are temporary.

Davis is expected to be back in the lineup during the month of March although, at this point, there is no guarantee that this will be the case. Hopefully, Davis will be able to get back to 100 percent in due time and help this Lakers team get back on track.

In addition to recently pranking Marvel Cinematic Universe fans with fake Spider-Man 3 titles alongside her co-stars Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon, Zendaya has also just made the cover for Vanity Fair’s 27th Annual 27th Hollywood Issue along with formidable Hollywood stars LaKeith Stanfield, Sacha Baron Cohen, Michael B. Jordan, Maya Rudolph, and Awkwafina, among others.

Vanity Fair also released an interview with the Euphoria and Malcolm & Marie star, which featured the magazine administering a Proust Questionnaire to Zendaya. The 35-question survey was meant to give viewers a better understanding of what Zendaya is really like through a bevy of personality revealing questions, but the Vanity Fair interview has recently gone viral for the wrong reason.

The questionnaire began smoothly, which prompts such as “What is your idea of perfect happiness?” and “Which talent would you most like to have?” Yet, when Zendaya was hit with a strikingly heteronormative question, she took a moment to correct it before moving forward.

At around the 3:10 mark in the video, Zendaya is asked, “What is the quality you most like in a man?” In response to the question, the Spider-Man actress is visibly not impressed with how the question is worded, and she subsequently rephrases it in a more gender-inclusive way before answering it.

“Um—I most like in a person, how about that?” she answers. “Oh, it’s such a big question. What is the quality I like most in someone? I would say kindness is kinda not the best way to describe it, but some people are just good people and you can just feel it. And I don’t know how to explain that, but there’s like this little spark they have or this little special thing that they have that just—you feel safe and happy around them. I don’t know what that is, but some people have it, and it’s special.”

Once Twitter caught wind of Zendaya’s interview, many users were quick to praise and applaud the actress for defying Hollywood’s heternomortavity.

Today, the rapper took to Instagram to share some excellent news, revealing that he has officially welcomed a new daughter into the world. Initially making it seem as if he was showcasing a shiny red Maybach truck — a rare and luxurious new acquisition to his already substantial collection — Gunn opened the door to unveil his newborn child sleeping in the backseat. “GOD IS THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!” captions the rapper. “Even tho she’s a girl she’s my junior Welcome to this krazy world “AJ” aka “WESTSIDE JR.” It should be noted that Westside Gunn’s real name is Alvin, which explains the “A” initial. 

Fans likely know that Westside Gunn has another daughter, Westside Pootie, who has appeared to issue a few words on many of his projects. Another day, another gossip report on Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West’s divorce filing. While neither of the two involved parties has spoken up about their split, except through subliminal song choices on social media, Kim and Kanye continue to dominate the news circuit as “insider” sources reveal all of their secrets to the media.

Kanye and Kim have remained silent on the matter, keeping their divorce off of social media for the time being. Kim reportedly plans on following the drama on the upcoming final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which makes total sense given the family’s history. New reports are seemingly detailing the differences between Kanye and Kim’s parenting styles for PEOPLE Magazine, including the fact that they reportedly are conflicted on how to raise their children.

“They have a different vision of the world and how their kids should be raised,” said a source to the publication about KimYe. “Kim will always support Kanye and his causes and encourage him with their kids, but her future with work, family and life in general are strictly up to her. She makes it happen.”

Despite reports that Kim was keeping Kanye away from their kids, the rap legend was spotted this week with their youngest Psalm in Los Angeles. 

“Kim will continue with her projects and so will Kanye,” added the source. “What they want in life and for their kids doesn’t always match. There are few secrets in that family, and everyone knew of the frustrations Kim endured with Kanye and his issues and rants. Not living with Kanye won’t change her lifestyle much, she is used to balancing family and work.”
