Tinashe Covers “I’m Every Woman” For “Black History Always – Music For the Movement Vol. 2”

It takes a bold woman to tackle a Chaka Khan classic, but Tinashe did just that. On Friday (February 26), Tinashe’s cover of Khan’s “I’m Every Woman” hit streaming services—a track that is included on ESPN’s Black History Always – Music For the Movement Vol. 2The project features looks from other artists like Freddie Gibbs and Tobe Nwigwe, and for her inclusion, Tinashe belted out a pop-club version of Khan’s 1978 hit that later found new life with Whitney Houston’s The Bodyguard version back in the 1990s.

According to The Undefeated, Tinashe wanted to deliver a rendition that was light, fun, and joyful. “Last year, there was just a lot of heaviness in the world,” said the 28-year-old pop star. “I’ve been dealing with a lot of emotional heaviness, and we’ve all been going through a lot.” Many of the singer’s fans have praised her take on the classic empowering single, so stream Tinashe’s “I’m Every Woman” and let us know what you think.

Mix special brew, put fire inside of you
Anytime you feel danger or fear
Instantly I will appear, ’cause

K. Michelle & Keyshia Cole Squash Beef, May Collab For Joint EP

She was once shaking tables and antagonizing her co-stars on reality television, but K. Michelle has turned over a new leaf. Over the years, the accomplished singer’s talents have been overshadowed by her controversies—many that were sparked on Love & Hip Hop or her own spin-off series. She’s beefed with artists online and aired out her grievances with other pop culture figures, but as K. Michelle moves forward, she’s putting the petty things behind her. Even when Wendy Williams shaded the singer’s butt implant struggles on her talk show, K. Michelle returned to say that she’s no longer bashing Black women.

It seems that the two women have laid their animosity to rest during a Clubhouse session and K. Michelle shared a bit about the interaction on Twitter.

“So last night on clubhouse was a great moment for the culture. Me and @KeyshiaCole squashed any little misunderstandings we had like adults and sang songs together all night. Y’all might even see a joint EP,” wrote Michelle. “I’m just all about positivity and making great music with some great people.”

Fans couldn’t believe they missed the moment, but are happy to hear that the singers were able to make amends. Check out the posts below.

James Harden & Nets Approached By CamSoda For Strip Club Deal

James Harden is an NBA player who is known for his love of strip clubs. The Brooklyn Nets star used to frequent them all the time while he played for the Houston Rockets and these days, he has to suppress his desire to go to one due to COVID-19. Despite this, Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant are all getting the offer of a lifetime as Daryn Parker of CamSoda came out today and penned a letter to the Nets organization.

In the letter which was acquired by Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy.com, CamSoda is offering the three stars Elite VIP access to the website during the All-Star break. With this service, they can get in touch with any model on the platform during all hours of the day, and get their own private shows from the comfort of their own hotel room.

Parker also noted that they will be having some strippers from Atlanta get on the platform, which will certainly be up Harden’s alley. The letter states that if one of the Nets stars wins All-Star Game MVP, the whole team will get Elite VIP status for the entire season, which is a pretty good deal if you ask us.

It remains to be seen if the Nets will accept the CamSoda deal, although we doubt any of the players would actually state it publically. Regardless, Harden’s reputation has led to a pretty phenomenal offer that might make his teammates like him even more.

The rapper is on the rise now that his “Throat Baby” viral hit has amassed over 50 million streams on YouTube alone, and recently, the Atlanta artist was featured on the cover of Rolling Out magazine. Inside, Kash spoke about using Law of Attraction a decade ago when he first set out with his Rap star dreams, and it so happens that what he wanted materialized.

“I practice the laws of attraction and meditation,” he says. “I’m really heavy into it. [But] what [people] don’t even know is 10 years ago — 2010 — I put my hand on the Bible [and] … I made a fake contract with Interscope, and I put it inside of a book. I still got the contract, and 10 years later to the date, I’m signed to Interscope.”

He explained that in 2015, he faced a tragic setback when his friend and manager was shot and killed. Kash shared that he was in a dark place and took time to grieve before re-entering the industry. “Even though it took me 10 years to get to right here today, I feel like those 10 years kind of prepared me for what’s going on right now,” he said. “I would change, of course, losing my best friend, but anything other than that, I wouldn’t change nothing in this process of where I’m at today.”

Jeanie Buss Gives Her Take On Making Kobe Bryant The NBA Logo

There has been a new debate going around the NBA as of late that centers around the career and legacy of Kobe Bryant. Recently, Kyrie Irving made the claim that the NBA should change its logo to Kobe’s silhouette. For years, the logo has been centered around Jerry West although the legendary basketball player has never much cared for his inclusion on the insignia.

Kyrie’s claims have led to a massive debate on Twitter with many fans wondering what kind of precedent this would set, especially if a player like Michael Jordan or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were to die. Others are welcoming this potential change and even Vanessa Bryant has thrown her support behind it. Now, Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is also speaking out on the matter and as she said in the tweet below, she would love to see Kobe as the logo.

“I agree with Vanessa Bryant. Kobe set a standard and players agree too,” Buss said.

While the idea is picking up steam, it would still take a lot of deliberation before the NBA makes a real play. With Kyrie Irving behind the idea, there is a chance that the plan could snowball and if that happens, the NBA would have no choice but to capitulate.

Let us know in the comments below if you agree with Kyrie’s plan.

As if celebrities didn’t already have to worry about their protection and the safety of their teams enough, people are out here shooting dog walkers. Lady Gaga has been open about her love for animals, including her two pups Koji and Gustav. Tamar Braxton Believes Black People Need To “Stop Participating In” Problematic Reality TV

Almost every major network across the board is capitalizing on the reality television craze. From cooking to marriage to competition series to true crime to a celebrity’s homelife, billions of people worldwide tune in to watch strangers do just about anything. The voyeurism has proven to be lucrative for networks and production companies, as well as the stars that find their footing on these shows. Yet, after participating, many of those featured no longer want to be connected to reality TV, including Tamar Braxton who recently spoke out against WEtv’s Braxton Family Values.

She accused production of sharing intimate details of the sexual abuse as a child with her family members and lamented publicly that the network wouldn’t let him out of her contract. It’s reported that they’ve since parted ways, but Tamar isn’t the only celebrity to have issues with their portrayals, and the portrayal of Black people, on reality TV.

“When I first started speaking out about it no one believed me,” Tamar recently told Hollywood Unlocked. “Looking back at it, how could they? Because the depiction of me was ‘problematic,’ right? So, for me to come out and say that these things were actually, really going on, this was my experience, no one wanted to believe it. And I don’t think it’s really just that particular network. Can we actually sit here and name a positive Black reality television show? What’s the name of it?”

“It’s not really about the execs so much. It’s the fact that we as a people participate in it,” Tamar added. “We still sign up to do it because everybody wants as shot. Everybody wants to be famous. Everybody wants to have a platform where they can make money and I’m not knocking them, but we do have a responsibility to keep that narrative going and I just feel like we will sign up to be on TV at any cost. And then, as a people, we watch it.”

“We have to stop participating in it and that’s the bottom line.” Check out the clip of her interview below.
