DJ Akademiks Isn’t Happy With Lil Yachty’s Stance On Drake & Kendrick Lamar, Says Drake Needs A “Delusional” Friend
DJ Akademiks doesn’t think Lil Yachty is the type of friend Drake needs right now and instead wishes the Toronto rapper had a “delusional” friend who would back him up no matter what the context. He made the comments in response to Yachty discussing the feud on his A Safe Space podcast and admitting he has respect for both Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
“Yachty, and I f*ck with you, but I gotta agree with this fan,” he began, referencing a user critiquing Yachty for not sticking up more for Drake. “If I’m Drake, I need a delusional friend with me. I need the friend that I’m mad drunk in the club with and I’m stumbling all over the place and I stepped on somebody’s foot by mistake but then that person shoves me and rather than tryna figure it out like, ‘Oh, actually you stepped on his foot first,’ my delusional friend just comes over my shoulder with a punch. ‘Why the f*ck you touching Ak?!’ We can talk about the other sh*t later my n***a. I need my delusional friends right now. That’s what we need. I’ma keep it a bean, Drake needs one of those.” From there, Akademiks argued Drake needs to start making some new friends.

Lamar actually name-drops Yachty on his diss track, “Euphoria,” accusing him of ghostwriting for Drake. He admitted on his podcast that he wasn’t happy with the mention. “So many people kept calling and texting me with excitement of my name being used and for me it kinda just felt like… I really didn’t want anything to do with it,” Yachty confessed. “I got a ton of respect for both of these guys. Honestly, it was a cool thing to watch. I learned so much. It was an honor and blessing to be able to experience it firsthand.”

Drake’s Voice Replaces 2Pac & Snoop Dogg In Viral Fan Edit Of “Taylor Made Freestyle”
A fan on social media has edited a new version of Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” that replaces 2Pac and Snoop Dogg’s A.I. verses with one from the Toronto rapper himself. Drake dropped the song as a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar back on April 19, but he took it down soon after when 2Pac’s estate threatened legal action.
The video has been getting plenty of support from fans in the comments section on YouTube. “This is the most brilliant way to use AI I’ve seen in a minute lol well done,” one fan remarked. Another user wrote: “Wouldve been so much better and funnier if he woulda did this instead. You saved it lil bro.”

2Pac’s estate described the song as “a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the Estate’s legal right” and “a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.” A statement from their lawyer continued: “The Estate would never have given its approval for this use. The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac’s voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult.” Check out the latest fan version of the song below.
Fan Edits Drake Back Into “Taylor Made Freestyle”
Following the release of “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake shared several more songs targeting Lamar, including “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6.” Lamar, on the other hand, has dropped “Meet The Grahams,” “Not Like Us,” and more. Neither has responded since May 5, when Drake shared “The Heart Part 6.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud on HotNewHipHop.

Candace Owens Calls On Diddy To “Name Names” In Response To Apology Video
Candace Owens says she’s not willing to forgive Diddy until he reveals who “is operating the ring in Hollywood” and called on him to “name names” in a post on Twitter, on Sunday. She provided the only circumstance in which she’d be down to “sweep a lot under the rug” while sharing the apology video Diddy made in regard to CNN publishing footage of him appearing to assault Cassie at a hotel in 2016. Owens’ post made several more allegations about the Bad Boy mogul.
“Great to hear you’re sorry, Diddy,” she began. “Now do Biggie, plus the guy you allegedly shot in that bathroom, plus Kid Cudi’s car you allegedly blew up: And whoever you were allegedly shooting at in the nightclub with J-Lo. For starters.” In a follow-up, she added: “I’d be willing to sweep a lot under the rug if you did the first courageous thing in your life and named exactly who is operating the ring in Hollywood. Name names.”

Diddy Celebrates Cassie’s Birthday
In his apology, Diddy attempts to argue he was in a dark place and has since sought professional help. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he says. “I was f*cked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
