David Harbour Details 75-Pound Weight Transformation For “Stranger Things”

David Harbour discussed his massive 75-pound transformation from season 3 to season 4 of Stranger Things in a post on Instagram, Thursday, sharing pictures from the process. Harbour plays police officer Jim Hopper on the show.

“Many of you have asked about Hopper’s physical transformation from season 3 to season 4. My trainer @davidhigginslondon worked with me for 8months to make the transformation, and then another year to keep it through the pandemic,” Harbour captioned pictures from both seasons of Netflix’s hit series. “All told it was a difficult and exciting ride, changing diet and exercise plans (or lack thereof).”

He added: “I am struggling to fight back down towards a good weight for wherever hopper ends up in season 5,” while acknowledging that “all this up and down is not good for the body, and I’ll have to give it up soon.”

Despite it not being good for him, he says that it “is such a fun part of the job” and allows him “to live in a different version of your skin for a while.”

Harbour says that he’s also “recently ballooned up again” for another film where he’ll be playing Santa Claus.

The final episodes of Season 4 of Stranger Things were released on July 1. The show was renewed for a fifth and final season, earlier this year.

The panel that was crashed by Reeves was hosted by filmmakers Tim Miller (Deadpool), Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), and Chad Stahelski (John Wick: Chapter 4).

On stage, Reeves said, “It’s been really cool, actually. It was really fun to bring Wick international… all of you filmmakers, and Steve, for you, too. Communicating, you know, just storytelling… but also the ambition, and what’s behind it, right? Even if it’s an action movie, or entertainment, or animation. There’s no even in that. You know, it’s like big picture and humanity and all of your works of art – communicating that. And you help us talk about that, so thank you. Anyway, thanks for having me, thanks for letting me jump out here.”

John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to hit theaters on March 24th, 2023.

NFL Still “Monitoring” Alvin Kamara’s Las Vegas Arrest For Battery

The NFL is reportedly still monitoring the arrest of New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara, who was charged with felony battery for an incident in a Las Vegas casino during Pro Bowl weekend. Police claim to have video of Kamara putting his hands on a man’s chest to stop him from entering an elevator at the rooftop nightclub, Drai’s. After the men pressed on, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons allegedly punched him.

The man fell unconscious on the floor and the defendants are accused of stomping on him, leaving him with facial fractures and injuries to his head, knees, and arms.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that sources say there is no firm timeline on a decision for discipline, but that the feeling is that Kamara could be suspended. He also could be placed on paid leave via the commissioner’s exempt list until a final decision is made.

Kamara has a hearing scheduled for August 1, but the court appearance has already been postponed multiple times at the request of the attorneys in order to have more time to review the evidence presented by the prosecution.

The Saints are scheduled to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 of the regular season. If Kamara is unable to participate, the team will have a number of other options, including David Johnson, who joined the organization in free agency.

Brent Faiyaz Details Plans For Next Project, “Make It Out Alive”

Just weeks from the release of his second album, Wasteland, Brent Faiyaz says that he has another project titled Make It Out Alive that he intends to put out. Faiyaz had previously announced the album, but when Wasteland dropped, many fans assumed the project simply underwent a name change.

Speaking with Complex’s Jordan Rose, Faiyaz recently explained that Wasteland is actually a completely separate body of work.

“I still have a project I want to put out called Make It Out Alive,” Brent said during their conversation. “That’s still in the works—it’s just not this one, because I love the title Wasteland and I love what it represents.”

He continued: “I have an idea in my head of what I want Make It Out Alive to be, but all of the songs that I have been making up until this point didn’t fit that title. I wasn’t in the headspace to put that body of work out.”

Wasteland was released on July 8, 2022 and peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album features appearances from Tyler, the Creator, Alicia Keys, Drake, The Neptunes, and more.

Elsewhere in the interview, Faiyaz discusses his 2020 EP, Fuck The World, finding commercial success, and more.

Jermaine Dupri Defends DVSN After Backlash To New Song, “If I Get Caught”

Jermaine Dupri has come to the defense of DVSN after their new single, “If I Get Caught,” began receiving backlash on social media. The song, which features a sample of JAY-Z’s 2001 hit “Song Cry,” sees the Canadian R&B duo sing about infidelity.

“The people I see with something bad to say about ‘If I Get Caught’ I’m sure have never listened to blues,” Dupri tweeted. “And if you never listened to blues. then you’re musically blind in my book and you can’t see what we did.”

Fans on Twitter had complained that the song’s lyrics were toxic and longed for music from artists “who just want to be in love,” as one user put it. Even Jay-Z recognized the toxicity of the lyrics when he cleared the sample, telling DVSN in a text message exchange shared on social media that he wants to be on record as thinking the “song is wrong.”

“I didn’t think one could make a song more toxic than Song Cry. I stand corrected,” Hov wrote. “I just want a disclaimer that says that I said this song is wrong! Haaaaa And you’re good!”

On “Song Cry,” Jay-Z raps “I was just fuckin’ them girls, I was gon’ get right back.”

Antonio Brown Performs At Rolling Loud, Twitter Reacts

Antonio Brown is known less for his moves on stage and more for his moves on the football field, but the wide receiver made waves at Rolling Loud this weekend for the former. The star football player is continuing his ventures into the music industry, and Twitter is clearly amused.

In a video of the performance, Brown can be seen doing a unique dance move as he performs, shimmying his arms back and forth as one might imagine a T-Rex would have done in Cretaceous times. The internet was quick to weigh in on the move.

“Mom: Show em that lil dance you be doin. Me:” wrote @RonnieAustion of the dance. Some only had respect for the wide receiver. “AB bank accounts are probably outstanding,” wrote @wegotnext12. “He’s living his dreams. He’s on to number two. How many of you are living just 1?” @sumpreme_chief1 agreed, writing, “Y’all hating… This is probably one of the best songs an athlete has ever put out.”

Other users were less impressed. “Not Lil AB Vert,” @_Kvn24 wrote. “Man threw away a football career that would have put him in the hall of fame for this lmao,” wrote @taj_ethan49ers. “He gave up football for this?” @daniibabieee added in disbelief.

Others had more mixed reviews. “This performance is awful, but the song don’t sound too bad,” mused @BGTheIceberg. “He’s such a handsome asshole,” wrote @iluvsemi.

DaBaby Says He Charges $200K Per Club Appearance, Reveals Burger King Meal Fell Through Due To Drama

Earlier this week, DaBaby’s artist Stunna 4 Vegas confirmed that his label head brought home $350K for lending his talents to Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” remix. During his appearance on the Full Send Podcast, the “Babysitter” hitmaker doubled down on those reports, also dishing about how much he gets paid to appear at clubs all across the country.

Around the 31:30 mark of the episode, the 30-year-old said, “Oh man, it varies, you know. Sometimes I get 200K.” At the same time, he clarified that he’s not just there to turn up, and actually has to work and perform during his appearances too.

“I don’t overplay it though,” he continued. “If they’re giving you that type of bag that means it’s love. It means you’ve got that type of draw in that club.”

Back in the day, DaBaby would bring home approximately $15K from his club appearances – far less than he made at concerts at the time – but nowadays, the money is coming in for him frequently and abundantly.

When discussing his work with Dua, the North Carolina native explained, “I think it was three-even [$300K]. … I think it was 300 to be fair, I don’t wanna throw no extra grease in the pan. It was at least three, though. It might have been $350K.”

Later in the same interview, DaBaby revealed that the controversy enveloping him following his homophobic rant at last year’s Rolling Loud Miami caused his deal with Burger King to collapse.

“They had my name on the box and everything. It was the Jonathan Kirk meal,” he shared, also mentioning an unseen commercial that was shot for the collaboration

Lil Pump To Amber Heard: “I’ll Let You Sh*t In My Bed Fa Sho!”

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s defamation trial concluded several weeks ago (though it doesn’t seem either of them is entirely pleased with the final verdict), but that doesn’t mean the world has stopped talking about it just yet.

Back in May, Euphoria star and singer Dominic Fike revealed that he has “hot” visions of the Aquaman actress beating him up that seem to fulfill at least one of his fantasies.

@justhelpingagirlout1 Dominic Fike saying Amber Heard is hot and that he dreams of her beating him up #dominicfike#amberherd♬ original sound – Sabrina Scheinberg

The “Cancel Me” hitmaker isn’t the only one feeling this way, it seems. 21-year-old Lil Pump revealed recently that he shares a similar sentiment, and is convinced that Heard is the woman for him.

“Amber Heard, I need you in my life,” the declared on his Instagram Story earlier this week. “I love toxic bitches and I’ll let you shit in my bed fa sho!”

If Lil Pump’s comments are confusing to you, you may have missed the part of Depp and his ex’s defamation trial when they recounted the incident when a pile of feces was found in the couple’s bed (on Johnny’s side) by a housekeeper.

Heard has long maintained that the deed was done by one of her dogs, but the Disney actor and his legal team feel it was an act of revenge against Depp on her part.

The mother of one has yet to respond to Lil Pump’s heartfelt declaration of adoration, but this isn’t the first time he’s pulled such a stunt. A few years back, the “Gucci Gang” rapper attempted to get the attention of Miranda Cosgrove of iCarly fame in a similar manner, though it doesn’t seem to have worked either.

Young Dolph Mural Vandalized In Memphis: Watch

Young Dolph’s death last year sent shockwaves through the hip hop community. The Memphis rapper was remembered fondly by everyone from Lebron James to Rick Ross, who claimed losing Dolph and Nipsey Hussle was like losing Tupac and Biggie.

It seems like two people have little respect for the late rapper, however. On Thursday, Fox13 Memphis reported that a mural dedicated to Young Dolph in his hometown of Memphis had been vandalized. The two vandals were caught on tape.

The mural was commissioned by Dolph’s family and the Ida Mae Foundation. Work on it began four months ago as local artist Cameron Hill started painting the tribute at King Of Discounts Mini Mart in South Memphis. On Tuesday, Hill took a break from the project after getting some hurtful messages. “I started receiving hateful messages, hateful phone calls, so I paused for a day,” the artist told Fox13.

Of course, Hill is saddened by the vandalizing. The artist had hoped to have the mural complete by what would have been Dolph’s 37th birthday on July 27, but now that timeline has been disrupted. On Instagram, the artist posted images of the defaced mural, along with a defiant caption. “SMH,” he wrote. “Money has been spent on the project from the foundation and everything just to have a group of hating individuals come and destroy what I was working on.”

Hill claims to know who the vandals are. “The certain group of individuals have been trying to ruin my art career and tarnish my name since last year,” he explained. “I have been harassed and also threatened for the last two or three days for trying to do something for the foundation and to make the community look better. I have been getting calls and text from different numbers from people trying to plot on me. They have been sending people up there to try to intimidate me and spy on me.”

Even with this setback, however, Hill has not been dissuaded, writing, “I’m a king and I’m going to conduct myself as such. One thing for sure I don’t fear no man and I’m not going to tuck my tail and run. I stand on what I believe in.”

Check out his post below.
