“Martin: The Reunion” Trailer Finds The Classic Comedy’s Cast Coming Together After 30 Years

We’re revisiting yet another TV sitcom classic and fans can’t wait. After the success of reuniting the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, there have been calls for all of our favorite shows to come back together for a reunion. Will Smith and the first “Aunt Viv” Janet Hubert were at odds following her premature exit from the series all those years ago, but the world was able to see them talk things out respectfully and with love in an emotional conversation.

Back in February, it was officially announced that BET+ would be hosting a reunion of their own for the cast of Martin. The unforgettable comedy lineup included Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Tichina Arnold, Carl Anthony Payne II, and the late Thomas Mikal Ford who passed away in 2016.

“To be able to sit here thirty years later with this amazing cast that has had such an impact on pop culture is truly a blessing,” Martin Lawrence said of the news months ago, according to Entertainment Weekly. “I am always humbled that the fans still want more of the show and its characters. I am looking forward to the reunion special.”

Fans should expect to see highlights from our favorite episodes, moments with celebrity guests who appeared on the series, and stories from the cast of what went on behind the scenes.

“The cast will look back on the show’s most hilarious moments, revisit the iconic characters Martin made famous and pay an emotional tribute to the late, great Tommy Ford,” a BET+ announcement reportedly stated. “Complete with musical performances and drop-ins by celebrity super fans, Martin: The Reunion brings back the wazzup wazzup wazzup passion fans have been waiting for.”

Lawrence and Campbell have a history that many expect to be a hot topic. Campbell reportedly filed a lawsuit against him, alleging sexual battery, sexual harassment, and verbal abuse. The suit was later settled out of court, but in recent years, they seem to be in a much better space.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you’re looking forward to this reunion that makes its premiere on June 16:

Suspect In Shooting Death Of Rapper Trouble Turns Himself In: Report

The unexpected death of rapper Trouble continues to take the Rap world by storm. The 34-year-old artist was more than his talents and his friends, family, and loved ones have made sure to pay tribute to him online. Almost immediately after the news broke over the weekend that Mariel “Trouble” Orr was shot and killed in an Atlanta suburb while visiting a friend, a suspect was named.

According to reports, the shooting took place following a domestic dispute, although details remain scarce. NPR reported that they learned from officials Trouble was in the area visiting a woman at an apartment complex.

Details regarding what happened during some verbal or physical exchange have been debated online as the rumor mill has run rampant, but authorities confirmed that their suspect, Jamichael Jones, allegedly shot Trouble in the chest. The rapper was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.

This evening (June 6), 33-year-old Jones has reportedly turned himself over to authorities. This wasn’t the only infraction on Jones’s record; he apparently has “several arrest warrants out” for him, reported NPR, “on felony murder, aggravated assault and home invasion charges.”

Expect to hear much more about this in the weeks to come as details of what occurred that fateful day will surface. We continue to send our sincerest condolences to Troubles loved ones during this difficult time.

Dave Chappelle Donates Proceeds From Buffalo Show To Tops Market Victims: Report

Ever since he was violently attacked while performing at the Hollywood Bowl, Dave Chappelle has been relatively quiet. The comedian continues to tour and play shows from coast to coast without any further confrontation as his attacker, Isaiah Lee, remains incarcerated. As the District Attorney maps out the case against Lee, Chappelle has reportedly done a good deed that has been applauded by fans.

According to the staff at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, New York, Chappelle put together a show for the venue at the last minute in order to help raise money and awareness for the victims of the Tops Market shooting.

Last month, the grocery store was the point of a racially motivated attack by 18-year-old white supremacist Payton Gendron. Police reported that Gendron drove 200 miles to the Black neighborhood, armed with several weapons and with the intention of killing as many Black people as he could. Ten people were brutally murdered as they were out shopping that day and another three were injured.

“He said, and I’m paraphrasing, ‘I came here to Buffalo to recognize the victims and for these families,’” recalled Shea’s director of marketing and communications Kevin Sweeney, according to Deadline. Then, Chappelle reportedly told those in attendance that he was donating all of the proceeds from the event to the victims’ families.

There have been several mass shootings in the U.S. since Buffalo, leaving many to believe that the victims have been forgotten. Recently, Trae The Truth revealed that he dodged a visit to the White House in order to hold a food giveaway to the residents in the neighborhood where the Tops shooting occurred, as that was the only market in their area.

Yung Joc Responds To T-Pain Calling “Cap” On “Buy U A Drank” Story About Lil Flip

Another lengthy VladTV interview is upon us and this time, Yung Joc has been dropping off gems. One tale about T-Pain’s “Buy U A Drank” caught fans by surprise after the Rap veteran claimed that the classic 2007 track came about after an awkward encounter. According to VladTV, the Love & Hip Hop star said that Lil Flip swerved T-Pain and this inspired the song. The details painted the autotune icon as a fan for who Flip didn’t have time.

“We about to go do this big ass car show, this n*gga T-Pain was like, ‘Oh god, I wanna meet Lil Flip. I wanna meet Lil Flip, I’m his biggest fan.’ I’m like, Really? Oh, well I f*ck with Flip.”

Joc then said he attempted to introduce his two peers but things didn’t go as he expected.

“Pain gon’ hate me for this, Pain was like, ‘Eh, put ‘er there,’” he said as he mimicked T-Pain’s handshake attempt. “‘Put ‘er there,’ like on some white boy sh*t. ‘Hey put ‘er there, chum,’ like, Flip wasn’t feeling none of that. Flip was like, ‘N*gga,’ and walked off. I was like, damn. That sh*t hurt Pain feelings a lot a bit. Not ‘a little bit,’ a lot a bit!”

“We go do the show, Pain come back he like, ‘Man, that sh*t really f*cked me up with Flip.’ I’m like, ‘F*ck that shit man let’s go get something to drink!’ He’s like ‘Man,’ I’m like ‘N*gga, drinks on me n*gga, I’m buying all the shots.'” Not long after, Joc said T-Pain made his hit song and asked him to hop on the track.

After The Shade Room reposted the clip of Joc’s interview, T-Pain slid in the comment section with a “cap” emoji. Joc took notice and responded.

“He is absolutely right, the title that The Shade Room put up there is cap. I never said T-Pain made ‘Buy U a Drank’ because of that situation. That’s not what I said. That’s what he’s sayin’ cap. The situation happened exactly the f*ck the way I said it happened. That’s on my mama. That’s exactly how the f*ck it happened.”

Joc added that someone can tell T-Pain to do a VladTV interview of his own to share his side of the story. “I never said he made ‘Buy U a Drank’ because of that moment.” Check it out below.

Pusha T Performs ‘Let The Smokers Shine The Coupes’ On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Pusha T released his new album It’s Almost Dry in April. Since then, he’s been promoting it with music videos and late-night television performances. The rapper is back with more of the latter: On Friday, he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform the track “Let The Smokers Shine The Coupes.”

The performance is charismatic and bright, with a kaleidoscope of colors bouncing off of him. His confidence is obvious; it’s what he’s known for. Before the release of It’s Almost Dry, he called it an “untouchable body of work,” mentioning that having Kanye West and Pharrell Williams as producers gave it a kick. He said, “I had the best of both worlds in regard to production. In regard to two people who actually understand who I am and they like two different things from me.” He added: “Just from that aspect, I feel like this body of work is untouchable because it doesn’t lean too heavily on either side. It’s like you get the whole spectrum — probably my most well-rounded body of work.” He’s definitely allowed (and right) to flex: It’s Almost Dry was his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Kanye West & Drake’s Reunion Was Slated To Be A “Blueprint,” Says Larry Hoover Jr.

Although Rap beefs have resulted in artists delivering classics that Hip Hop fans continue to hold near and dear, there are some who believe the genre needs to focus on mending fences, not creating them. One of the biggest divisions in Hip Hop came courtesy of Drake and Kanye West as the former friends turned into rivals, even spitting bars about their animosity toward one another. However, the world witnessed the two Rap moguls reunite for the Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert after J. Prince stepped in.

Ye and Drizzy put their past behind them and came together on stage, and now Larry Hoover Jr. tells Million Dollaz Worth of Game that the reunion was slated to be a “blueprint” of sorts for others to come together.

“He seen that, just talking to them, knew that we had a relationship with Kanye and then with Drake through J,” Hoover Jr. said of his father. “And he seen that we had this relationship but with the little stuff that he got to see, he seen that them guys was at odds and he would hear about other artists and stuff, you know what I mean, killing each other and going to jail over back-and-forth nonsense. He was just saying, ain’t there something y’all could do to try to bring them together?”

“We put our efforts there and brought them together hoping that it would be a blueprint for the other artists to try to follow to look and see if these guys can bring it together and put their differences aside and make money and enjoy life, maybe some other people will follow suit,” he said elsewhere.

“There are way too many of these guys out here, feeling like they’re living the gangster life when they should be living the millionaire life. They dying and losing everything when they just get to that position. They should be enjoying it and bringing other people up instead of going to jail and dying and their friends dying. I thought they became entertainers to get out the streets. That’s what it’s supposed to have been about.”

Drake and Ye put their pride aside for this one, but there’s no word on if they’ve maintained a relationship following the concert. Watch Million Dollaz worth of Game below.

Mother Of Teen Who Threatened Sheriff Over YSL Arrests Says He Has Mental Illness

Young Thug and Gunna are already under immense pressure as they have both been denied bond in the RICO case stacked against them and 26 of their alleged associates, but then a teenager jumped into the controversy with threats against the Gwinnett County Sheriff. We previously reported on Quartavius Mender, an 18-year-old fan who took to social media to threaten to kill Sheriff Pat Labat, the Sheriff’s wife, a clerk, and the Atlanta Public Schools Police Chief Ronald Applin.

Mender reportedly demanded that the rappers and their crew be released, but instead, he was arrested and tacked with 23 counts of terroristic threats. “We take these kinds of brazen threats seriously,” Sheriff Labat said in a statement.

“Social media cyberbullying, and hiding behind a keyboard will not protect someone from criminal prosecution,” Labat added. “Our investigators are diligent in seeking individuals who mean to do harm to anybody, and I am grateful to them for ensuring the safety of myself, my wife, and all citizens of Fulton County.”

Now, Mender’s mother has come forward with claims that her son suffers from mental illness and isn’t involved in any gang activity. It was noted by 11 Alive News that Mender’s cousin has also been named in the YSL RICO indictment.

“My son is dealing with mental health, and also he’s grieving, you know,” said Malaika Kulenga. “His brother was killed in September from a hit-and-run… My son is really a person that does need help.

In a jailhouse call with Mender, 11 Alive asked about the social media threats. Mender denied that he was the person responsible and refuted claims that he is in a gang. Watch the news segment with Mender and his relatives below.

Wack 100 Calls Future’s Music “Dreary,” “One-Dimensional”: “Maybe You Gotta Be High”

He never misses a beat when it comes to using any opportunity to share his thoughts on the industry and everyone in it, and Wack 100 has returned with a few more. The music manager is often entangled in controversy over his hot—often unfiltered—takes, and this time, he gave a few opinions of what he thinks of Future’s delivery while on Clubhouse. A clip of Wack was shared on YouTube over the weekend, however, it is unclear exactly when this conversation took place.

The audio opens with Wack speaking on 808 Mafic producer Southside and his rumored run-ins with Diddy, who has been carrying on with Yung Miami—the mother of Southside’s daughter. Then, the conversation moved on to Future. “Why you saying I’m hating on Future? I’m just telling you his music is dreary and same, one-dimensional. I can’t listen or watch that n*gga on no stage for a hour, bro.”

“That’s not hate, bro. I don’t think—you gotta understand. I don’t get high. Maybe you gotta be high… We talking about headlining, n*ggas coming behind Busta Rhymes, Future definitely cannot come behind Busta Rhymes’s performance. It’s like from one extreme to the next. Like, Busta gonna have a seizure and aneurism and a heart attack on stage. This n*gga comes up same sh*t.”

They joked that if it was Ja Rule, then that would be fine. Wack added that Ja has “laid back” music, so it would fit.

“This n*gga Future, bro, his sh*t is just one pocket and that’s just what it is. N*gga, even on the Drake tour, they didn’t let Future do a full set. Drake came out for forty-five [minutes]. Future came out for twenty-five [minutes], and then Drake came back out!” Wack added, “I’m telling you. I started nodding out [during Future’s set]!”

Do you agree with Wack 100 about Future’s delivery and catalog? Listen below and weigh in.
