Lakers Reportedly Back On The Buddy Hield Train

Last summer, the Lakers were reportedly trying to go out and get Buddy Hield from the Sacramento Kings. Hield is one of the best three-point shooters in the league and his talents are what the Lakers desperately needed. In the end, the Lakers decided to pursue Russell Westbrook instead, which turned out to be a massive mistake as Russ was the complete opposite of a sharpshooter.

Hield was eventually traded to the Indiana Pacers in the middle of the season, and while he played well with the team, it is clear that the Pacers are a team in the midst of a rebuild, which doesn’t exactly align with Hield’s goals of making the playoffs and going on a deep run.

With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Hield is on the trading market this summer. In fact, according to Matt Moore of the Action Network, the Lakers are back in on Hield. The Lakers have some assets to play with, including Russell Westbrook. The Pacers reportedly expressed interest in Westbrook a few months ago, and if the Lakers can get the Pacers to take on that contract, there is a chance they would right their wrongs from the last offseason.

The offseason begins tomorrow, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you all of the latest updates from around the NBA world.

Gucci Mane & Lil Baby Call For Young Thug & Gunna’s Freedom On “All Dz Chainz”

Gucci Mane and Lil Baby are back at it again with the release of their latest collaboration, “All Dz Chainz.” The Wheezy-produced banger is a celebratory moment that acknowledges the hard work they’ve put in. However, it’s an anthem that speaks volumes about the current state of affairs in Atlanta. The two rappers detail the frequent dilemmas that come with fame, as we’ve seen in the case of YSL. Baby details the envy that comes with being in his position through auto-tuned sing-raps.

Gucci directly addresses the YSL RICO case on the record as he shows his support for Young Thug and Gunna, as well as his own artists, Foogiano and Pooh Shiesty. In the same breath, he also shows his love to Trouble, who passed away earlier this month. While Gucci does reflect on the jealousy that poses a risk to his safety, he also issues caution to rappers who are being targeted by law enforcement. “The D.A. bring up lyrics and the court may not be even true/ They try to pen some shit next to your name that you ain’t even do,” Gucci raps on his verse.

The latest offering from Gucci Mane comes just after he released the deluxe edition of 1017’s So Icy Gang: The Reup earlier this month.

Check out the latest from Gucci below.

Quotable Lyrics
Fuck the trolls, the blogs, the hoes and yes-men who be instigating
Hit him in the head and he still survive but still a mental patient
I don’t even have to drop no payments, they feel obligated
Shit’s so complicated, now the killers be cooperatin’
Feds investigatin’, but I made it, never gave a statement
AKA Big Gucci or Big Guwop, never call me Radric

Drake & NBA Youngboy Are The Most Streamed Artists In The U.S. In 2022

When it comes to the numbers game, there’s really no way to defeat Drake. The Canadian rapper has set records on the charts and created new ones over the course of his career, which ultimately earned him the award for Billboard’s Artist Of The Decade. So, it comes as no surprise that the “Knife Talk” rapper is the most streamed artist of the year.

Chartdata reports Drake earned 4.16 billion on-demand streams across the United States this year, making him the most streamed artist in the country. It’s a massive feat that doesn’t seem that surprising now that he’s dropped his latest project, Honestly, Nevermind

With the release of Honestly, Nevermind, Drake reached new heights on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100. With the chart-topping success of the album and “Jimmy Cooks” ft. 21 Savage, Drake became the first rapper to simultaneously debut on both charts on two separate occasions. He also extended his streak as the artist with the top most top 10 hits on the Hot 100.

Sitting just behind Drake for most on-demand U.S. streams is NBA Youngboy. The Louisiana rapper has clocked in 3.37 billion on-demand streams in the U.S. thus far but that number will certainly increase when he drops off his next studio album. The Last Slimeto is due out in August with a 30-song tracklist. It’s unclear whether he could surpass Drake in on-demand streams in the U.S. but it’s very possible.

Martin Lawrence Downplays Chances Of Doing A “Martin” Reboot

Martin Lawrence says that, while he’d be down to work with the cast again, he isn’t interested in rebooting his iconic sitcom, Martin. Lawrence discussed the idea during his latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The idea was prompted by the cast of Martin‘s recent 30th-anniversary reunion special, which aired BET+ on June 16.

“It felt great, man, just to see ‘em again and get back together,” Lawrence told Fallon. “It felt like we was going back to work. The only thing that was missing was our brother Tommy Ford but we got to honor him in the right way.”

When asked about the idea of a reboot, he admitted: “I think the ‘Martin’ show was like catching lightning in a bottle and I don’t think we can redo that again. I wouldn’t mind working with the cast again on something but I don’t think we can do that again.”

However, Lawrence did admit that he could be interested in a spin-off film centered around a specific side character from the series.

“Well, I would love to see a movie with Sheneneh,” he said. “And, remember we were supposed to do a movie with Sheneneh and Jamie Foxx, with Wanda [from ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’], and that never came about. But if we could ever get that together, I think y’all would love that.”

Martin aired on Fox from August 27, 1992, to May 1, 1997, for a total of five seasons. It was one of the network’s highest-rated shows during it’s run.

Air Jordan 9 “Olive-Concord” Drops Next Year: First Look

One of the more underrated Jumpman silhouettes is the Air Jordan 9. This was the first Jordan Brand shoe released while Michael Jordan was gone playing baseball, so it never really caught on the way the previous models did. Regardless, it is a shoe that is always getting new colorways, and there is no doubt that fans have been appreciative of these new offerings.

According to the Instagram sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, a unique new Air Jordan 9 is slated to drop next year, in January. This new colorway is labeled “Olive-Concord” which makes a lot of sense when you look at the photoshop rendering down below. From there, concord purple is placed on the heel tab, tongue logo, and Jumpman insignia on the midsole. It’s definitely a unique colorway that should pique the interest of sneakerheads.

For now, it is believed that this shoe will be dropping on January 7th for a price of $20o USD. Let us know what you think of this Air Jordan 9 colorway, in the comments down below, and stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world.

Irv Gotti Chokes Up While Signing $300 Million Deal With Iconoclast

Irv Gotti admits he got emotional while signing a deal for $300 million in exchange for his 50 percent ownership stake of his masters. Gotti broke down the massive deal while speaking with WorldStarHipHop at the 2022 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

“I had a conversation with a billionaire friend of mine, my man Marc Lasry, he owns the Milwaukee Bucks, I’ve known him for like 20 years,” he told the outlet. “He drilled in my head, ‘You can’t sell what you don’t own,’ and it resonated with me.”

From there, he explained that the $300 million isn’t entirely for his masters. In fact, those are only worth $100 million, but Iconoclast threw in an extra $200 million as credit to use in the creation of his own television properties.

Gotti explained: “I’m signing a deal worth $300 million. I’ma tell you what it is: $100 million of the deal is me selling my masters. What my billionaire n***a was saying, he’s absolutely right. 20 years later, my masters — and I only own half, I own 50-50 with Universal Music Group — half my masters is worth $100 million. That’s fucking insane!

“Not only is the company buying my masters, but they’re giving me like a $200 million line of credit for me to not just produce and create, but now own my television [properties].”

As for what TV projects Gotti has in mind, he explained that his first idea is a competition series called Double Threat. He also wants to do a movie adaptation of his BET Series, Tales Presents: We Made it in America. The title comes from the JAY-Z, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean track of the same name.

Gotti celebrated inking the deal in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, in which he held back tears and remembered his late father.

Check out Gotti’s discussion with WorldStarHipHop below, as well as his candid Instagram post.
