Things have been undeniably chaotic for Elon Musk lately, from the apparent crumbling of his headline-making Twitter deal to the $258 billion lawsuit he’s been faced with over his controversial support of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, and according to TMZ, they’re only getting worse for the 50-year-old.

Documents obtained by the publication reveal that the CEO’s eldest child, an 18-year-old boy who was born Xavier Musk, has hopes of changing her gender identity, as well as name to Vivian Jenna Wilson following her legal birthday back in April.

While the name change is in part related to Vivian’s transition, she also made it clear that she’s including her last name in the switch as she “no longer [lives] with or [wishes] to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape, or form.” 

It’s been noted that neither Elon nor his daughter has made any public comments about their relationship (or the issues that exist within it), though Musk shared his thoughts on pronouns publicly back in 2020, calling them “an esthetic nightmare.”

The billionaire’s oldest child has a twin brother, Griffin; Elon fathered six babies with Canadian author Justine Wilson during their marriage from 2000 to 2008 and shares two more with Grimes (though they’ve since gone their separate ways romantically), both of whom have particularly unusual names.

This past weekend was a busy one in the world of hip-hop, with new albums arriving from huge names like Drake, Logic, and Kevin Gates, among all the other releases that made their way onto streamers over the past few days.

Though he didn’t have any new singles to share this time around, Kendrick Lamar did have some celebrating to do – his 35th birthday, which went down on Friday, June 17th, and found the DAMN. hitmaker commemorating in the company of his closest friends and family.

The Grammy Award-winning artist looked as dapper as ever in an all-white suit, standing in front of his beautifully decorated red and white cake as the group around him (which included little cousin Baby Keem) sang “Happy Birthday,” finishing by listing off their various nicknames for the father of two before K-Dot blew out his candles.

Weeks before his big day, Lamar took a trip over to Ghana and at the time, he and Spotify collaborated on A Day In Ghana with Kendrick Lamar – a telling mini-documentary in which the Compton native opened up about everything from his highly anticipated recently released album to his reluctant acceptance of therapy into his life.

As people continue to weigh in on Drake’s latest record, the OVO mogul isn’t the only person who has been hit with complaints. The internet has afforded the global masses the ability to air out every opinion they have about just about anything, and with Honestly, Nevermind hitting streaming services and the Golden State Warriors locking in another NBA title, social media was swimming with hot takes.

Honestly, Nevermind was Drake’s surprise album that has prompted polarizing discussions about the rapper’s catalog and vision for the future of his career. Many have stated that the album is bad or not his best work, but Drake responded by saying that if listeners don’t understand just yet, that’s fine.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have also been on the receiving end of split conversations regarding their wins, in addition to talks about each player’s talents. Steph Curry handled business and rightfully earned his MVP status, but that hasn’t kept sports fans from penning disparaging remarks about him, as well.

Music icon Jermaine Dupri knows a thing or two about succeeding beyond expectations, even his own, as a hitmaker with a sphere of influence that most only dream of. He offered a brief opinion of his own after reading through critics’ reactions.

The weekend may be over, but the Juneteenth celebrations continue. Millions of Americans celebrated enslaved Black people in Texas learning of their freedom years after the Emancipation Proclamation was set in place, and it is a time that many families reflect on their histories and ancestors’ sacrifices. Several brands and networks joined in on the federal holiday, including ABC News which hosted a Sound of Freedom – A Juneteenth Celebration with several celebrities.

Ciara was one of the handfuls of tastemakers who made an appearance, and during the discussion, she spoke about acquiring her masters. Years ago, the news circulated that her husband, Russell Wilson, purchased them for her as a gift, but Ciara is sharing what really happened.

During the segment, Ciara spoke about how owning her masters has given her a sense of freedom in being able to move and create as she sees fit.

“I had this song called ‘Level Up,’ I had the video for the song as well. I had a whole vision for my project,” said Ciara of her viral hit that shot up the charts thanks to an online dance craze. “I sat down and I talked to the CEO at that time. It was like, he made up his mind before I came into the room. He wasn’t checking for it.”

It was during that meeting that she decided she wanted to ask for her masters and move her career forward independently under her own label.

“Amazingly enough, they gave me my masters,” she added. “They gave them to me for free! So, it lets you know they didn’t believe at all... It was that easy and I was ready.”

She counts herself as lucky because there are some artists battle it out for masters ownership for years.

Though some of the Kardashian couples (such as eldest sister Kourtney and her beau Travis Barker) are all about PDA, the family’s youngest sibling, Kylie Jenner, usually keeps the intimate details of her relationship under wraps.

As you likely know, the 24-year-old has been on-again-off-again with rapper Travis Scott, whom she shares two children with, over the past few years, though recently, it seems that they’re on – and very public about it.

In celebration of Father’s Day yesterday, the reality star shared a sweet (albeit funny) photo of the “SICKO MODE” hitmaker laying in bed eating ramen while on daddy duty, their 4-month-old on top of him, and their 4-year-old daughter Stormi asleep beside her dad.

Jenner also gave us a glimpse at her son’s adorable Nike Air sneakers, which perfectly matched his papas.

Though he usually keeps his content focused on his own endeavours, Scott also uploaded footage of Jenner to his Story over the weekend, praising his baby mama for the work she was putting in while in the kitchen.

“Shawty in here throwing that ass down!!!!!” the father of two wrote over a snapshot of his girl cooking away in a pair of printed jeans, worn with a white tank top tucked into them.

As TikTok continues to become increasingly popular, more of our favourite celebs have been hopping on the bandwagon and making “Day In The Life” videos to help their fans feel connected to them. Most recently, we received one from Quavo, who’s living the booked and busy rap star life.

“What’s happening? So this how my day start,” Huncho’s narration began, kicking off with footage of him boarding a private jet after already having been working on a film set earlier.

“Fresh out the movie set to the jet. Cole Bennett said he need me, Lyrical Lemonade, Chicago, damn no question I’m on my way,” the 31-year-old explained, breaking down his upcoming moves for those watching.

After reaching his destination, Quavo helped his nephew Takeoff celebrate his 28th birthday (which went down on June 18th) by gifting him an astounding “three-headed monster,” or a flashy chain with the heads of all three Migos members on it.

Though Offset was included on the jewelry, he was nowhere to be found for the TikTok video, which also previewed a performance from Unc and Phew during Lil Yachty’s set at the Summer Smash festival yesterday (June 19).

Rumours of a Migos breakup have been floating around on social media over the past few weeks, first surfacing after Cardi B and her man seemingly unfollowed Quavo, and later running rampant again after the trio cancelled their Governors Ball performance.
