Kim Kardashian & Pete Davidson’s Met Gala Afterparty Plans Involved Pizza & Donuts

The Met Gala has come and gone for another year, although the chatter surrounding the many iconic outfits that walked the red carpet last night is sure to continue for weeks. 2022’s theme was “Gilded Glamour,” asking patrons of the event to dress opulently in their own interpretation.

Among the many stars in attendance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night was Kim Kardashian, who has become something of a fixture on the carpet over the years since her first time attending as Kanye West’s plus one.

As you may remember, at the 2021 Met Gala back in September she wore Balenciaga from head to toe (literally), seemingly channelling a shadow of herself that people were still able to identify with ease thanks to her famous curves.

This year, however, she switched it up and kept her face on display, although she totally transformed her signature look in favour of one that paid tribute to another American sex symbol – Marilyn Monroe.

As TMZ reports, Kardashian claims to have lost 16 pounds in a matter of weeks to fit into the iconic dress worn by the late starlet when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy six decades ago.

The mother of four has been dropping hints about her Met Gala look for some time now, first revealing that she was unable to tailor her outfit and later, she and her beau were spotted in Orlando at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum, where the gown is usually displayed.

While some of the attendees headed out to afterparties following the main event, Kardashian and Davidson instead opted to return to their hotel, where they had pizza and donuts waiting for them before they hopped on a flight back to Los Angeles along with Khloé Kardashian.

In other news, the reality stars had a lot to celebrate yesterday, as they also took home a win in their defamation trial with Blac Chyna, who was ultimately awarded no damages – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

“Jackass” TV Series In The Works At Paramount+

Following the success of Jackass Forever, the franchise has a TV series in the works at Paramount+. Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish announced the series during the company’s Q1 earnings call on Tuesday.

“Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+,” Bakish said, according to Variety, not providing any further details.

The original Jackass series ran from 2000 to 2001 and spawned a series of feature films as well as other television spin-off series.

It’s unclear what Jackass leader Johnny Knoxville’s involvement will be with the new show, considering that he seemed finished with the franchise following the release of the latest film.

“Those were big [stunts], and could end as badly. Or worse. I’ve done enough,” Knoxville said in an interview with Variety. “I don’t have anything to prove. I have kids to raise. That’s the most important thing.”

Jackass Forever was released in February 2022 and grossed over $80 million worldwide. In addition to Knoxville, the movie starred Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, and Preston Lacy, as well as several other guests including Machine Gun Kelly, Eric Andre, and more.

A follow-up film, Jackass 4.5, is scheduled to be released on Netflix, later this month, featuring unused footage from Jackass Forever.

Known as fashion’s biggest night out, the 2022 Met Gala lit social media ablaze with fits and failures from the biggest names in pop culture. With its theme of “Gilded Glamor and White Tie,” the event was a nod to the period of fashion called the “The Gilded Age” which ran from the 1870s to the […]

Nicki Minaj Jokingly Calls Out Man Who Leaked Info About Her Met Gala Attendance

Nicki Minaj had a few jokes for a man on the red carpet at the 2022 Met Gala. He allegedly leaked news about her attending the fashion event.

Last night (May 2), the annual Met Gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Nicki Minaj was one of the several rappers that were in attendance at the fundraising fashion show. While scaling the steps donned in all black, she was caught on video jokingly threatening someone off-camera.

“Are you the man that leaked I was gonna be here?” she asked. “Yeah, you. It was you. I’m about to come up to you and smack the sh*t outta you. Come here.” She was seen laughing as she walks away before the video ends.

This year’s Met Gala was star-studded with pop-ups from Cardi B, Future, Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, Kid Cudi, Anderson .Paak, Gunna, and more.

As for Nicki, this was the “Do We Have A Problem?” rapper’s first appearance since declining to attend last year over the vaccine mandate. Last night, she showed up in a feathery Burberry bustier gown with leather leggings and a baseball hat to match. Minaj admitted during an interview with LaLa Anthony that her dress’ bust was her only issue with the outfit.

“The only unplanned thing about my looks is my boobs popping out because they made my cup size a little small,” she joked. “Enjoy these ti**ties, cause y’all ain’t gonna see that ever again.”

Nicki was accompanied by Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.

Brittney Griner’s Case Gets A Positive Update

Brittney Griner is currently facing a very difficult situation in Russia. The WNBA star was allegedly caught with hash oil while trying to leave Russia, and as a result, she was detained and is still currently there. Throughout this time, many throughout the basketball world have been trying to raise awareness about Griner’s predicament, especially since it could lead to jail time in a foreign country.

For the most part, the United States had been treating this as a typical case in which Griner would have to go through the Russian legal system. According to ESPN, however, U.S. officials have decided to change their handling of the case as they now believe Griner was “wrongfully detained.”

With this in mind, the United States will now attempt to negotiate terms and conditions of a release as opposed to just playing the waiting game. Griner’s agent Lindsay Kagawa Colas is very optimistic about this change in philosophy, saying “Brittney has been detained for 75 days and our expectation is that the White House do whatever is necessary to bring her home.” While there is optimism, there is also this sense that anything can happen, and no one is trying to celebrate too soon.

“We feel really good about it,” a source close to Griner said explained, via ESPN. “But we also know it can drag out, so we don’t want to get our hopes too high.”

This remains a high-profile developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates.

A$AP Rocky Teases New Music Coming This Thursday In Since-Deleted Instagram Post

A$AP Rocky isn’t letting his recent LAX arrest stop him from living his dreams. Though the 33-year-old was faced with a few tests of his mental strength over the last few weeks – what with rumours of him cheating on his pregnant girlfriend and allegations of his involvement in a Hollywood shooting floating around online – he’s managed to come out on top, debuting new music with Playboi Carti at Smokers Club, and now, teasing the arrival of something else this Thursday on his Instagram.

The original post has since been deleted, but early this morning Rocky dropped off the cover art for what could either be a short film, a single with an accompanying music video, or a full-length project, according to online speculation.

“A Ghetto Love Tale,” text at the top reads, just above a photo of the New York-born rapper and Rihanna, who looks stunning as usual in an all-red ensemble, complete with a veil covering her face.

Beneath, we see a caricature of a famous photo of the pair kicking back on a fire escape in the Big Apple, seemingly taking a smoke break in their coordinated fuzzy outfits. “Roll my blunt,” and “Dats mah b!$h” are written beside them, reminding us of their love for weed, and teasing a potential title.

The bottom of the page lists off credits, naming Rocky himself as the writer, director and executive producer. Skepta, Hector Delgado, Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo, and D33J assisted with additional production, and a warning message tells us that whatever the “Fashion Killa” has been working on is rated R.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve heard new music from A$AP on his own, so fans are looking forward to hearing what will follow his most recent release, “The God Hour” with A$AP Ant.

Are you looking forward to hearing new music from the Harlem-born performer? Sound off in the comments, and tap back in with HNHH later for any updates on A$AP Rocky’s upcoming release.

Jay Electronica Slams Wack 100 For Nation Of Islam Criticism

Jay Electronica came at Wack 100 on social media, Monday, with a series of vitriolic posts regarding the music executive’s recent comments on the Nation of Islam and the Million Man March.

“If you got any questions ask me with yo c**n ass,” he wrote. “You out here pressing everybody but the open enemy. Don’t be out here stunting on our lil brother. Press ME about The Nation Of Islam. I got that fire you looking for.”

“KEEP MY NATION’s NAME OUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH,” he added in another post on Instagram.

The Nation of Islam was founded by Wallace Fard Muhammad in 1930. Louis Farrakhan took over leadership of the organization back in 1977.

Wack’s comments were centered around the Million Man March, which was called by Farrakhan in October 1995. An estimated 800,000 people, including civil rights activists and the Nation of Islam, gathered at the National Mall.

“I’ve always scratched my head about that Million Man March. I’ve never seen nothing come up. I question that. You know me, I’ma call a spade a spade. Where that money went?” Wack said during a Clubhouse call with Brother Ben X. “That was orchestrated by the Nation of Islam. The money was administered by the Nation of Islam … It was supposed to be this, this and that. I thought I was going to see some schools or maybe some type of funding for child resources. The Million Man March came, a bunch of people raised a bunch of money and then… we didn’t hear nothing.”

Check out Electronica’s posts as well as Wack’s original comments below.

A Judge Has Approved For A Tulsa Massacre Lawsuit To Move Forward

Per Complex, an Oklahoma judge has ruled that a lawsuit seeking reparations for the Tulsa Race Massacre can move forward.

Based on a report from the Associated Press, Tulsa County District Court Judge Caroline Wall ruled against a motion to dismiss the suit on Monday (May 2) – the three remaining massacre survivors were present in the courtroom. Attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons acknowledges the importance of securing justice while the three remaining survivors are alive. Viola Fletcher, 107, Lessie Benningfield Randle, 107, and Huges Van Ellis, 101 are the last of the survivors.

“I’ve seen so many survivors die in my 20-plus years working on this issue,” Solomon-Simmons said. “I just don’t want to see the last three die without justice.”

Solomon-Simmons led attorneys to file the suit in September 2020, noting the long-lasting effects of the 1921 attack. The suit was filed under Oklahoma’s public nuisance law and named the City of Tulsa, the Tulsa County Sheriff, the Tulsa Metro Area Planning Commission, and more. An estimated 300 Black residents of Tulsa were killed during the 1921 terrorist attack. The massacre also saw violent white mobs destroying businesses and homes in the Greenwood area of Black Wall Street.

It’s unknown what will happen next with the suit at this time, but per a report from Reuter, the suit “seeks financial and other reparations,” including a 99-year tax holiday for descendants of the victims. A KJRH-TV report noted that only a portion of the suit will move forward. Solomon-Simmons has yet to comment any further.
