Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL today after spending 22 seasons in the league. It was a huge moment for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback as many were anticipating the day he would finally hang up his cleats. After all, Brady is one of the best players to ever do it, and his absence will certainly be felt over the next year or so.

With that being said, Brady issued a statement today that did not include a single word about the New England Patriots. Despite this, the Patriots decided to pay homage to Brady anyway. In fact, team owner Robert Kraft penned an emotional letter to Brady as he detailed the superstar’s accomplishments, all while saying that he feels like Brady will always be family.

Per Kraft:

“Words cannot describe the feelings I have for Tom Brady, nor adequately express the gratitude my family, the New England Patriots and our fans have for Tom for all he did during his career. A generation of football fans have grown up knowing only an NFL in which Tom Brady dominated. He retires with nearly every NFL career passing record, yet the only one that ever mattered to him was the team’s win-loss record. In his 20 years as a starter his teams qualified for the playoffs 19 times. He led his teams to 10 Super Bowls, winning an NFL-record seven championships. In a team sport like football, it is rare to see an individual have such a dominant impact on a team’s success. You didn’t have to be a Patriots fan to respect and appreciate his competitiveness, determination and will to win that fueled his success. As a fan of football, it was a privilege to watch. As a Patriots fan, it was a dream come true.

“I have the greatest respect for Tom personally and always will. His humility, coupled with his drive and ambition, truly made him special. I will always feel a close bond to him and will always consider him an extension of my immediate family.”

Today is a bittersweet day for a lot of people, and this is especially true when it comes to Patriots fans. Either way, it’s clear there is a lot of respect towards Brady, especially from the team that drafted him.

A federal judge has rejected a plea deal reached by the prosecution and Travis McMichael on hate crime charges regarding the killing of Ahmaud Arbery. The judge’s decision came down in court on Monday.

In exchange for admitting that the crime was racially motivated, prosecutors would’ve recommended McMichael serve 30 years of his sentence in federal prison. After completing the federal time, McMichael would have been moved back to Georgia to finish his sentence of life in prison without parole.

Wanda Cooper-Jones, the mother of Arbery, slammed the plea deal as “disrespectful.”

“Please listen to me,” Cooper-Jones told the judge. “Granting these men their preferred conditions of confinement would defeat me. It gives them one last chance to spit in my face after murdering my son.”

S. Lee Merritt, an attorney representing Cooper-Jones, previously labeled federal prison “a country club compared to state prison.”

Prior to the judgment, federal prosecutor Tara Lyons praised the deal, saying it “powerfully advances the larger interest of justice.”

“Through this resolution, the defendants will accept responsibility for the full nature of their crime, admitting publicly in front of the nation that this offense was racially motivated,” Lyons had said.

The next hearing in the case will be Friday.

Over the weekend, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were able to shock the world as they came out and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. No one expected the Bengals to go all the way to the championship game this season, especially when you consider how this team had virtually nothing going for it just a couple of years ago.

In many ways, this team’s performance is a true miracle, and fans could not be any happier with the fact that they have Burrow under center. The man was able to win a National Championship with LSU, and his pedigree is one that is conducive to winning a Super Bowl, even if the odds aren’t really in his favor.

During his time at LSU, Burrow was admired by the likes of Boosie Badazz, who is from Louisiana. The rapper is a huge fan of LSU and he knows exactly what Burrow is capable of on a game-to-game basis. As you can see in the tweet below, Boosie even believes that Burrow will be the next Tom Brady.

“JOE BURROW IS THE NEXT TOM BRADY, BUT MORE SKILLED. IF HE PLAYS 15 to 20 YEARS HE WILL PASS BRADY N EVERY CATEGORY N FOOTBALL! HES A WINNER,” Boosie wrote.

If Burrow wins the Super Bowl in two Sundays from now, then Boosie could very well be on track to providing an excellent prediction. After all, Burrow is in just his second professional season, and winning a Super Bowl would put him in very elite company.

While Rihanna’s faced several pregnancy rumors in the past, all of them proving to be untrue, she and A$AP Rocky announced that they’re expecting a child together. The couple unveiled pregnancy reveal photos on Monday, which turned the Internet upside down for the past 24 hours. Fans expressed their joy while friends and associates sent their congratulations via social media to the couple.

Cam’ron was among the individuals who sent well wishes to Rocky and Rihanna. However, he also suggested that his male supplement product Pink Horsepower may have played a role in Rihanna’s pregnancy. While Cam’s proven to go to great lengths to promote the product (i.e. the series of videos involving his neighbor), he shared footage from October where he linked up with Rocky to hand over a box of Pink Horsepower. Cam’s IG post included a slide from October where Rocky shoots down a jar of Pink Horsepower and a photo of Rihanna and Rocky’s pregnancy photos.

“I’m just saying check da dates,” he wrote before welcoming Rihanna to the NYC borough. “Congrats to Flacko and da Sis Ri. Welcome to Harlem!!! @pinkhorsepower.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were rumored to be dating in 2020 before confirming they were together in summer 2021. Pregnancy rumors began to swirl around the Internet towards the end of 2021 but Rihanna ultimately shut those down.

Tom Brady is one of the best athletes of all time. During his time in the NFL, he has was able to win a whopping seven Super Bowl titles, all while breaking numerous quarterback records. At the age of 44, it was a common thought that Brady would end up retiring from the game, especially given the fact that he has nothing else to prove anymore. He has done it all, and no one is going to be upset if he just decides to walk off into the sunset.

Today, that is exactly what Brady opted to do as he came out and announced his official retirement from the NFL. Now, the quarterback will get to spend the rest of his life with his family, while also pursuing other professional endeavors. Whether he remains in the public eye or fades into obscurity, there is no doubt that Brady has now found a little bit of peace.

Following his big announcement, the Buccaneers organization took to Twitter with a tribute video for Brady, all while other teams like the Indianapolis Colts chimed in with some jokes. There were also quite a few montages from sports accounts like SportsCenter and Bleacher Report, who got to cover Brady’s greatness for years.

Even Peyton Manning had to offer some warm words for his former rival, as he had nothing but good things to say about Tom. It’s clear that that QB was well-liked, and his legacy is one that will live on forever.

Kanye West was spotted out at an event in Malibu on Sunday chatting up several women with Julia Fox nowhere to be seen. TMZ caught West enjoying an evening on an oceanfront balcony at Soho’s Little Beach House Malibu.

The “Off The Grid” rapper pulled up to the venue with a number of friends in time to catch the sunset. In photos published by TMZ, the group appears to be enjoying their night while talking with different women.

As for an outfit, West arrived in an all-black Balenciaga look with a matching black mask.

While divorced from his ex, Kim Kardashian, West has spent the last month dating actress Julia Fox. The two met over New Year’s in Miami and have been mostly inseparable in the time since.

Fox recently discussed their relationship on her podcast, Forbidden Fruits, and shot down accusations that she’s only with West for the clout.

“People are like ‘oh, you’re only in it for the fame, you’re in it for the clout, you’re in it for the money,'” the 31-year-old said at the time. “Honey, I’ve dated billionaires my entire adult life, let’s keep it real.”

Benny The Butcher, specifically, has risen from his position as an underdog alongside Westside Gunn and Conway to becoming one of the most respected lyricists coming out. Last year, he inked his first major-label deal with Def Jam, which has caused a bit of ruckus in his DMs, but it’s also led to widespread anticipation of his next move.

The rapper continued to tease the fourth installment in the Tana Talk series, which finally has a release date. With the help of DJ Premier, Benny unveiled the Feb. 11th release date for the project. Premier shared a snippet of a song off of the project, writing, “TT4 (2/11) @BennyBsf @Daringer_ @Alchemist Got Me A Preview Listen…”

The album announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise. On Friday, Benny appeared to kick off the campaign for Tana Talk 4 with the reveal of his new single, “Johnny P’s Caddy” ft. J. Cole, which earned praise across the board.

Benny has yet to unveil the tracklist for the project but Cole’s appearance on the single should be an indication that the Griselda rapper will be bringing some heavyweights into the fold. Last year, he appeared on Rick Ross’ “Rapper’s Estates” off of Richer Than I Ever Been and his long-awaited collaboration with Drake leaked. 

Damian Lillard is one of the best point guards in the entire NBA, although, for his entire career, he has been stuck on a team that hasn’t really won anything. What is interesting about this is the fact that Lillard seems perfectly fine with his predicament, and he has no real desire to change it. Lillard is all about “the grind,” and he believes that players should remain with the teams that drafted them. His loyalty is impressive, however, it hasn’t won him a lot of playoff success.

Now, Lillard is heading into an offseason where he can either demand a trade or take an extension with the Blazers. According to a brand new report from Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, it would appear as though Lillard is most likely going to remain in Portland, and his extension will be worth a whopping $100 million over two years.

“Harden is the most likely target given his previous relationship with Morey. There’s no sense yet that Beal will leave the Washington Wizards or that the Oklahoma City Thunder or Boston Celtics will deal Gilgeous-Alexander or Brown. Most teams expect the Trail Blazers to extend Lillard for another couple of seasons at roughly $100 million, but if that goes south, the New York Knicks may be his next destination over the Sixers.”

It is interesting, however, that Lillard is interested in the Knicks if he were to move on. The Knicks are a franchise that has improved over the past couple of seasons, however, they have regressed a bit in this particular campaign.
