Chance The Rapper Performed A Rocking Country Remix Of Nelly’s ‘Hot In Herre’

Jimmy Fallon’s got a new game show called That’s My Jam coming to NBC, and in a sneak preview last night, audiences got a glimpse of what’s in store when the show airs beginning next week/year. The show, which is inspired in part by comedy bits from Fallon’s version of The Tonight Show, pairs celebrity teams to compete in musical challenges from the previous show such as “Mixtape Medley Showdown,” “Slay It, Don’t Spray It,” and “Wheel of Musical Impressions.” (Remember Drop The Mic and Lip Sync Battle? Shows like this always have viral promise.)

In the sneak peek, the teams consist of Alessia Cara partnered with Josh Groban and Chance The Rapper paired with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, so the stage is already set for some hilarious shenanigans. Competing in a Musical Genre Challenge after Chance pulls the lever on a massive video screen, he spins the wheel again and ends up with Country Rock as the genre for a remix of hip-hop staple, Nelly’s “Hot In Herre.”

As the band strikes up a suitable instrumental, Chance gets really into character, affecting an Elvis-inspired “country” voice (which he even uses on the ad-libs!) and goes for broke to the delight of the studio audience, his fellow competitors, and of course, the host, who sings along with that signature Jimmy Fallon grin plastered across his face. Trey Songz Accused Of Rape By Former UNLV Basketball Star Dylan Gonzalez

In November, reports circulated that Trey Songz had been named in a sexual assault investigation in Las Vegas, and now, another accusation has been raised against the Passion, Pain & Pleasure artist.

Dylan Gonzalez, one-half of the Gonzalez Twins, hit Twitter with a serious allegation against the Grammy-nominated R&B singer early on New Year’s Eve. Gonzalez and twin her sister, Dakota, played basketball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas during the mid-2010s until pressure from the NCAA led them to choose their music career over the college basketball campaign. However, Dylan Gonzalez’s tweet is not the music update that her supporters were likely expecting.

At 12:41 a.m. on Friday, Gonzalez wrote, “Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me I Couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022.”

In the hours following her tweet, she has only reposted the message to her Instagram account, so there is currently no more information or details to explain her accusation against Trey Songz. At this time, the Grammy-nominated artist has not responded to Gonzalez’s claims, which arrive weeks after he was also named in a $20 million sexual assault lawsuit.

See Dylan Gonzalez’s tweet below.

Keep it locked to HNHH for more updates regarding Dylan Gonzalez’s rape allegations against Trey Songz.

A Beatles Vs. Beach Boys Debate Is Taking Over Twitter, So Questlove And Justin Vernon Have Weighed In

While The Beatles are widely considered to be the best and/or most important band of the ’60s, there are plenty of folks out there who would instead pledge their allegiance to The Beach Boys. Well, it was argued on Twitter that the former is a better group than the latter, which has prompted both bands to trend due to the discussion surrounding that claim.

Last night, journalist Emily Brooks tweeted, “My husband is out with a hot take: The Beach Boys are better than The Beatles. Immediately upon hearing this I was shook. He told me, ‘Put it out in the Twitterverse, I bet I get love.’”

That got a reply from beloved The Roots drummer Questlove, who wrote, “Welp: if it weren’t for Pet Sounds we woulda never had Sgt Peppers [shrugging emoji].” Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon responded to that tweet with an emoji of a hand pointing to the left, indicating support for Questlove’s view.

Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson has addressed that Pet Sounds/Sgt. Pepper’s point before. In a recent interview, for example, he was asked what his favorite album is, and he said, “I’d have to say Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Obviously, I love The Beatles and we have always had a mutual love and respect for each other. They say that it was birthed from hearing Pet Sounds… I don’t know… but I just love that album.”

Meanwhile, while it would be fair for Paul McCartney to choose The Beatles in this debate, he has nothing but love for the Beach Boys. In fact, in a 2007 interview, McCartney said of a Pet Sounds highlight, “‘God Only Knows’ is one of the few songs that reduces me to tears every time I hear it. It’s really just a love song, but it’s brilliantly done. It shows the genius of Brian. I’ve actually performed it with him and I’m afraid to say that during the sound check, I broke down. It was just too much to stand there singing this song that does my head in, and to stand there singing it with Brian.”

On a related note, in an interview with Uproxx earlier this month, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘s Glenn Howerton said, “I don’t like the f*cking Beatles, man. […] I got a bit of a chip on my shoulder about The Beatles because I feel like they made a lot of really cool music, and they were obviously incredibly innovative and all that. But I think there were a lot of bands that were around that same time that just don’t get enough play. And I’m just f*cking sick of hearing about The Beatles. Like, Jesus Christ, just shut the f*ck up.”

Bow Wow Explains Why “It’s Tough” For Him To Remain Monogamous

It doesn’t look as if Bow Wow will be slowing down anytime soon, so for any ladies thinking that they will be able to cuff him up, he recently shot down that idea once again. The rapper has been tied to several women in the industry from Angela Simmons to Ciara to Kiyomi Leslie to Joie Chavis to Erica Mena to Keyshia Cole to Blac Chyna, and while he came close to marriage, Bow admitted to The Breakfast Club that he isn’t made for monogamy.

“I’m not the type of man that goes backwards,” he said before being questioned about his relationship with Angela Simmons. “That’s my dog. I just saw Ang—me and Ang have a, it’s a crazy connection. That’s my dog. Anything she need, whatever she need, she got it.”

He admitted that Angela could be his soulmate, but Bow admitted that he “just [has] a type.” He added that Angela “is a great type” but he still likes to hit the club scene and go out and party. The Breakfast Club hosts wanted to know what type of woman could capture Bow Wow’s attention or even lock him down.

“This is gon’ sound crazy, and I know this is…” Bow began before Charlamagne Tha God chimed in and said, “You’re a whore.” The rapper seemed to co-sign. Bow said, “I feel like God has made so many beautiful women, that for me to just be with one person… It’s just tough for me. I have a problem. It’s just hard.”

He even gave an example, revealing that he was recently at a club with an unnamed woman that angela Yee knows, and while Bow said the woman was the hottest in the room, he couldn’t help but flirt with someone else. Check out the clip of his interview below.

Nardo Wick Reacts To Backlash Over Comments About Robbing People

After a brief segment of his interview with Big Facts Podcast went viral, Nardo Wick returned with an explanation. In the clip, Nardo was speaking about his lack of motivation to find steady employment because he was making more money in the streets. “I would look at it like, I go rob a n*gga and get this much, why would I go to work?” he questioned as the podcast hosts laughed.

While it isn’t something that seems as if it would cause an uproar, Wick decided to issue a response after receiving backlash for his remarks.

“Im not tryna influence nobody to go rob nobody, they asked a question about MY PAST and I answered it,” the rapper penned. “That’s what I was doing when I was 15-16 years old, A product of my environment. My mama had just came home from prison and it was a hard time for us and we ain’t have nothing. I would never tell or try to convince a young black man or anyone period to crash out!”

I changed my life and started taking rapping serious because I knew that I wouldn’t make it if I kept doing what I was doin,” he added. “There is nothing wrong with a job, robbing ain’t cool at all and I ain’t try to make it seem cool I was speaking on past events.” He called his actions “young and dumb” and said he “changed for the better.”

Amina Buddafly & Cisco Rosado Clash Over Who’s To Blame For Peter Gunz Beef

These former friends came to blows over Amina Buddafly, and they have reunited for Love & Hip Hop Family Reunion. Last year, reality television fans were surprised to see the Cisco Rosado and Peter Gunz come to blows on Love & Hip Hop New York. In the series, Peter is known as the playboy who can’t seem to stay faithful to Amina and Tamara Wallace, two mothers to his children. In the aforementioned show, Peter discovers that Amina stayed the night at Cisco’s house while traveling, but it was something that Cisco didn’t tell his friend.

At the time, Cisco and Amina reportedly stated that nothing occurred and she only needed a place to crash for the night, but on Family Reunion, both admit that something went down.

In a clip, Cisco and Amina seem to want to shift the blame as to why Rosado and Gunz are no long Creey Squad buddies. They point the finger at the other, and during the conversation, Amina outright said that at some point, they shared a kiss that Peter may not know about.

In the green screen interview, Amina acted coy as if she didn’t want to speak about the alleged kiss, but she continued and said that it was more than just a kiss, maybe a makeout session of some sort. She stops firm before saying anything more occurred, but social media fans found it interesting that neither of them wanted to take accountability.

K. Michelle Snaps At Fan After Posting About Almost Having Twins 5 Years Ago

A moment of transparency went left after a fan thought they were sending K. Michelle a message of encouragement. Throughout her lengthy career, the R&B veteran has often shared her personal life with the public. Aside from her hit tracks, the world got to know K. Michelle even more during her reality television stints that included Love & Hip Hop as well as her spin-off series. That doesn’t include the singer updating the public about her body reconstruction journey where K. Michelle has been correcting cosmetic surgery ills that have threatened her life.

K. has also been open about her desire to have children, even documenting her potential surrogacy on reality television, and that didn’t work out. She reflected on that time in a recent social media post.

“I could’ve had twins 5 years ago but I thought I had money and selfishly want ONLY GIRLS,” she wrote. “Two girls so after 200,000 later I just realize that all I wanted was my grandfather 2b n their lives like he was in Chase’s life. I  up yall. I could’ve just had the babies.” It was a tough admission, so a fan responded with what they thought was a positive message.

“Cmon,K, u been thru darker storms, & always came thru shining..put on ur big girl thongs babe. [flexing arm emoji],” the person wrote. K. Michelle wasn’t feeling it, so she replied, “Go to hell.” The person was confused and added, “Huh? Wow, I’m supporting u k.”

Reactions to this interaction were split, as some believed that K. Michelle was out of line, while others empathized with her and didn’t believe that the fan’s message was supportive. Check it out below.

Lil Nas X Views Social Media Friends As His “Family”

To say that Lil Nas X had a successful 2021 is an understatement. The “Industry Baby” star has moved from viral “Old Town Road” fame into his global Montero takeover, and while it didn’t sit well with his detractors, Nas X’s star continues to rise. His album topped the charts along with their subsequent singles, and Lil Nas X is positioning himself for an even greater year in 2022.

He’s kicking the new year off with a candid interview that will air on CBS Mornings, and during the chat with Tracy Smith, Lil Nas X spoke about his social media presence.

It is well known that Nas X knows how to balance his personal and professional life with his online visibility, and he has often spoken about not taking social media too seriously. He trolls those that try to taunt him, and he makes sure to keep things light even when faced with racism and homophobia. In his CBS Mornings interview, Nas X shared that he views social media as a family.

“That was probably one of the first places where I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is for me,’” he said. “It’s like, my actual family. I’ve become closer with people who I met online than people who I’ve met in real life.” Adding, “I’ve learned the ways of the Internet… I’ve learned how to go viral, and what to stay out of.”

Lil Nas X also spoke bout his childhood, rise to stardom, and sexuality. “I feel like I’m much more out there with it,” he said. “It’s always been, ‘Okay, you’re gay, this needs to be sanitized.’… Gay, but let’s not include anything sexual. It’s like, ‘Be gay without being gay.’” His interview reportedly airs on January 2.

“College Dropout Burgers” Restaurant Has Kanye West Fans Both Excited & Confused

We’re not sure what’s going on in Australia, but a particular restaurant has Hip Hop fans talking. An eatery named College Dropout Burgers has been thriving down under and it is beginning to gain even more visibility thanks to a few viral photos circulating online. The location seems to have been established sometime in the Summer of this year, and while there have been jokes that Kanye West will shut down the establishment sooner than later, the restaurant’s Instagram account claims that Ye is following them.

However, their posts make it clear that they’re looking for more than just a follow from West as they often comment about wanting the rapper to pay them a visit.

Of course, College Dropout is the classic debut album by West that was released back in 2004. It has continued to be hailed as one of his best and hosted features from artists like Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Mos def, Common, and many more.

The College Dropout Burgers restaurant doesn’t just lean on the name of West’s album, it also uses the cover art and the Rap mogul’s signature Dropout Bear character. High Snobiety reshared images while penning in the caption that the eatery would most likely receive a cease and desist, but the restaurant doesn’t seem overly concerned with West’s retaliation. In fact, they mark each of their burger’s buns with the Dropout Bear’s face.

Meanwhile, there are conspiracy theorists who don’t believe the restaurant is real and claim that this is all for clicks. You can check it all out below.
