Trippie Redd Sings Through The Pain On Illenium & Sueco’s “Story Of My Life”

Several months before he got in his synth rap bag on Trip At Knight, Trippie Redd was heavily experimenting with rock sonics on his Travis Barker-assisted album, Neon Shark vs Pegasus. The Ohio-born artist has once again taken a musical detour, and today, he is back with another hard-hitting rock collab in the form of a remix to Illenium and Sueco’s “Story of My Life.”

The four-minute track, titled “Story of My Life [Heavy Edit],” doesn’t have a huge Trippie Redd presence, but when the 1400 artist does finally make an appearance halfway through the song, he delivers a captivating performance. The “Miss The Rage” artist ditches the bars for howling vocals, and during the brief feature, he sings about a romance that has gone wrong and left him questioning everything in his life.

Watch the official visualizer for the Trippie Redd version of Illenium and Sueco’s “Story of My Life” below, and let us know in the comments if you’re feeling the Trip At Knight artist’s latest feature.

Quotable Lyrics

You leave me so confused, I’m fucked up with you
The curse of my life, without you I just can’t feel in love
Without you, this world’s not real

Devin Booker Hit With Injury Bug, Return Timeline Unveiled

Devin Booker has been lights out for the Phoenix Suns this season, especially as the team has gone on a 17-game winning streak that included a huge win against the Golden State Warriors last night. Booker has been instrumental in this team’s success and there is no doubt that he will continue to be a superstar in Phoenix for years to come.

Unfortunately for the Suns, Booker will now have to miss a few games as according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Suns’ star has a hamstring injury. Booker is the latest player to get hit with the injury bug as today, Damian Lillard and Bam Adebayo were both told that they would have to miss some time, as well.

Luckily for the Suns, Booker won’t miss that much time away from the court. His absence is simply for harm reduction reasons, and when it comes to Booker, the team is looking at the big picture. They understand that health during the postseason is much more important than simply running up a lengthy winning streak. For now, however, it remains to be seen when Booker will be allowed back into the lineup.

Without Booker, the Suns’ winning streak is certainly at risk, although at this point in the season, the executives of the team probably aren’t worried about that. Instead, Booker will get the rest he needs in order to make sure his injury doesn’t get any worse.

Anthony Fauci Suggests Ted Cruz Should Be Prosecuted For January’s Capitol Riot

Anthony Fauci, the U.S. government’s top infectious diseases expert, has a message for Ted Cruz following the Republican senator’s accusation that Fauci had recently lied to Congress. In case you missed it, several red party members put forth remarks claiming that the doctor wasn’t telling the truth when denying that the National Institues of Health funded the “gain of function” research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.

As the Independent reports, Cruz urged attorney general Merrill Garland to “appoint a special prosecutor” to investigate Fauci’s statements just last month. “I have to laugh at that. I should be prosecuted? What happened on 6 January senator?” the president’s chief medical advisor said to CBS News.

The 50-year-old politician was just one of the Republican senators who chose to vote against the confirmation of Joe Biden’s presidential victory; the poll was held on January 6th, the same day that a mob of Donald Trump supporters attacked the Capitol building, resulting in at least five deaths.

Host Margaret Brennan asked Dr. Fauci if he feels as though Cruz and others are making him a scapegoat to distract from Trump, to which he laughed and said, “Of course, you will have to be asleep not to figure that one out. I’m just going to do my job and I’m going to be saving lives and they’re going to be lying.”

“Anybody who’s looking at this carefully realises that there’s a distinct anti-science flavour to this. If they get up and criticise science, nobody’s going to know what they’re talking about. But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, people could recognise there’s a person there… it is easy to criticise, but they are really criticising science because I represent science,” the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said.

Genesis Owusu Drops The ‘Waitin On Ya (Remix)’ Video Shortly After His Big Night At The ARIA Awards

At last week’s Australian Recording Industry Awards (ARIA), Canberra singer Genesis Owusu was the big winner of the night. The Ghanaian-Australian won four awards, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, for Smiling With No Teeth. For comparison, the ARIA’s are essentially Australia’s version of the Grammy Awards, and Owusu’s feat is damn near Eilish-ian in nature.

Smiling With No Teeth is a jovial, soul-packed expression of hip-hop; more melodic than rugged, more danceable than pensive, more rock & roll than R&B, and cheekier than stoic. In short, it’s hella fun. Today, Owusu has shared a new video for the remix version of “Waitin On Ya” (which he performed at the ARIA gala.) It’s a time-and space-shifting visual that features Jagwar Ma’s Jono Ma assisting on the mix. There’s a lively snare drum beat with a hint of the amen break in the background, breathing new energy into the song. A spritely sax peppers its way in as Owusu plays a shady travel agent that teleports to tropical locales while smiling broadly through gold teeth.

Watch the video for “Waitin On Ya (Remix)” above and check out the tour dates for Owusu’s first US headlining tour below. Get tickets here.

Toby Fox Dominated Some Spotify Wrapped Lists Thanks To ‘Undertale’ And ‘Deltarune Chapter 2’

It’s been six years since Undertale won the hearts of many. The indie RPG that can probably be best compared to Earthbound became an internet phenomenon that we’re still witnessing today. The community around that game has shown an adoration that few games receive and with that adoration has come memes, inside jokes, and a lot of covers for the killer soundtrack. Undertale has a phenomenal soundtrack that can be played endlessly. For some, that’s exactly what they did throughout 2021.

It’s the first day of December, and that means Spotify has given everyone their annual Spotify Wrapped summaries. Undertale creator Toby Fox has dominated plenty of lists, and it’s a reminder that even all these years later, gamers are still showing it some love. In fact, Fox started trending.

We also saw some love for Deltarune Chapter 2, which was released by Fox back in September. Of course, with songs as great as “BIG SHOT” on there, we can understand why.

If it isn’t clear by now, people really enjoy Fox’s music and they’re going to continue loving it for years to come. This isn’t a new phenomenon — some said that this is not the first time Fox has popped up on their Wrapped.

With Deltarune Chapter 2 still fresh in our heads and Undertale a classic, we fully expect to see Fox on these lists come 2022.

Elliot Page Shares New Shirtless Photo

After Elliot Page announced he was transgender a year ago today (Dec. 1, 2020), he has received an overwhelming amount of support from his peers in the entertainment industry. So much so, that he issued a thank you Instagram post to his supporters a few weeks later: “From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your love and support has been the greatest gift. Stay safe. Be there for each other. If you are able, support @transanta and @translifeline. See you in 2021 Xoxo Elliot.”

Earlier in his career, when he still identified as a woman, Elliot portrayed beloved characters in hit movies Juno (2007) and Inception (2010). Now, as Elliot looks for more roles in the future and adjusts to his life after coming out as transgender, he appears confident in his look.

In March, he graced the cover of Time Magazine’s March/April issue, as he revealed he had top surgery and feels confident when he looks in the mirror now: “I’m fully who I am.”

It appears Elliot still holds that sentiment, as he posted a shirtless selfie to Instagram on Sunday (Nov. 28). He appears to be in great shape, captioning to photo humorously: “Oh good my new phone works.”

The post garnered a ton of supporting comments from peers like MJ Rodriguez, Awkwafina, Julianne Moore and many others. It’s nice to see Elliot joyfully embracing who he is.

LeBron James Expresses Confusion Over Mystery Issue

Los Angeles Lakers fans were beside themselves yesterday as it was revealed that LeBron James had tested positive for COVID-19 and would have to sit out for a while. LeBron could miss three to four games as a result of his COVID-19 predicament, and now, he is currently in quarantine where he has to spend some time away from his team.

Luckily for LeBron and the Lakers, they were able to pull out a win last night as they took on the Sacramento Kings. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis were phenomenal during the game, and their respective performances must have made LeBron a pretty happy man, even though he had to watch the game from home.

Today, however, LeBron was in a very suspicious mood. While talking to Twitter this afternoon, LeBron wrote “Something is REAL [fish emojis] going on.” Clearly, LeBron isn’t too sure about something, although fans are currently scrambling to figure out what he could be talking about. Some believe it has to do with all of the injuries going around right now, while others might think it has to do with him testing positive for COVID-19 despite being vaccinated.

Regardless of what LeBron might be talking about, there is no doubt that he has started a conversation. Whether that conversation is a worthy one to have, still remains to be seen.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you updates on LeBron’s condition throughout his battle with COVID-19.

Officer Who Fatally Shot Pharrell Williams’ Cousin Cleared By Grand Jury: Report

In the spring of 2021, Pharrell Williams spent his 48th birthday honouring his 25-year-old cousin, Donovan Lynch, who was killed in the Virginia Beach shootings that took place just days before. Now, The Star reports that the police officer responsible for the young man’s death has been cleared by a special grand jury.

During Tuesday’s two-hour news conference, prosecutors said that Officer Solomon D. Simmons was “justified in protecting himself and others in the moments after Lynch racked a round into his handgun’s chamber and stood — pointing his weapon toward a parking lot filled with multiple people and police.”

The atmosphere in Virginia Beach at the time was chaotic, to say the least. Lynch and a friend were said to have been visiting the city’s boardwalk, lined with restaurants and hotels, as hundreds of people usually do on warm, spring evenings. What started out like any other night quickly turned into a nightmare when separate eruptions of gunfire were heard. At least eight people sustained injuries, and one woman (believed to be a bystander) was killed.

Lynch, who was an offensive lineman for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise team back in 2017 and 2018, was killed after this bout of action, The Star notes. Prosecutors showed footage from multiple police body cameras in the minutes before and after his death, and also provided witness statements.

In a videotaped statement, Simmons explained that Lynch seemed “out of place,” and was holding a gun while crouched in some bushes near the parking lot where the shooting had taken place when he heard a weapon being “racked.” “I’m thinking he’s going to start shooting into the parking lot” Simmons said.

The officer recalled saying something to Lynch, although he doesn’t remember exactly what. As the armed man began to turn, Simmons fired, fatally wounding him. In a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit, Wayne Lynch claimed that his son was killed “immediately, unlawfully and without warning.”

Donovan’s friend, Darrion Marsh, who is said to have witnessed the shooting, told the Virginian-Pilot that “Lynch never took the gun out of his cargo shorts,” although the prosecutor pointed out that body cam footage from officers who arrived within 25-30 seconds fails to show Marsh in the immediate area.

News of grand jury’s decision wasn’t received well by Wayne, and Pharrell reportedly sent a letter to city officials last month to inform them that his Something in the Water music festival won’t be coming back to Virginia Beach, partially due to their handling of the investigation into his cousin’s death.

DaBaby Allegedly Has Not Followed Up With Or Donated To HIV/AIDS Orgs He Met With After Rolling Loud Backlash

When DaBaby hit the stage at Rolling Loud Miami in July, fans could not have predicted the turmoil that would occur during his set. He would spew bizarre, hateful comments towards the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS community, insinuating that they were unclean: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

Later in the show, he would double down on those comments, saying that his gay fans are exceptions: “My gay fans, they take care of theyself, they ain’t going for that…they ain’t no junkies. I said if you ain’t sucking d*ck in the parking lot, put your cellphone light up. You know what my gay fans did? Put that motherf*ckin light up.My gay fans ain’t going for that. They got class.”

Celebrities like Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa and Elton John were horrified by these comments, quickly condemning Baby. He would then issue a half-hearted apology on Twitter: “Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business. I tell fans to put a cellphone light in the air y’all start a million man March. I told you y’all digested that wrong but I ain’t gone lie I’m impressed. Now show this same amount of support when a racist cop kill one of our black ass…YA NOT.”

After more backlash, DaBaby decided to put his words to action, and ended up meeting with nine different HIV/AIDS organizations to rectify his stance and advocate for the plight of those affected by these diseases.

However, months later, it seems he was not that committed to these causes. Three of the nine organizations, Positive Women’s Network, the Black AIDS Institute and the Normal Anomaly Initiative, all have said that Baby has not donated or reached back out since their initial meetings, like he had planned to.

Black AIDS Institute member Pavni Guharoy said that the relationship needs to be a two-way street: “The onus is now on him, if he chooses to, to convert his misinformation into ally-ship by supporting the work of the Black AIDS Institute and other people of color-led HIV organizations.”

Hopefully this can serve as a wake up call to DaBaby that he needs to continue working towards being better, and that redemption is not a singular moment.
