Boosie is catching heat from the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity after sharing a video of himself wearing a jacket bearing the group’s name despite not being a member. Fraternity members consider this to be a serious offense

“Check this out, and I know I look good in this jacket,” Boosie says in the clip while showing off his outfit. “Remind me of the great Dr. Martin Luther King. I need whoever do the best stroll with this jacket, we gon have an award for y’all. Y’all go do the Run It Up challenge, and it’s big, bro.”

Shortly after, members of the fraternity expressed their displeasure with the rapper’s actions on social media.

This isn’t the first time Boosie has run into trouble with a fraternity. Last year, he made the similar mistake of wearing a Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity sweater, for which he was called out again.

“I apologize to ’em, but I need some [apologies] too because they talking ’bout they shed blood for this,” he said at the time in response to the backlash. “They got people in my DMs talking like they built like me. Like they talking gangsta. I’m like bruh, it ain’t that serious. I don’t wanna do nothing witchu. My bad, dawg.”

Lakers Fans Complain More About Officiating Than Anyone Else: Study Finds

Los Angeles Lakers fans complain more about officiating in the NBA than any other fanbase, according to a new study from Betonline.ag. The site found that Laker fans post the highest number of tweets complaining about referees.

The study concludes that the top five teams with fanbases who complain the most are the Lakers, Knicks, Nets, Bulls, and Warriors respectively.

“I think Anthony Davis getting zero free throw attempts is a little bit mind-boggling,” Lakers head coach Frank Vogel recently told reporters. “And it’s something we’ve been communicating to the league about.”

It’s unclear how the study was conducted, but it’s likely the results were determined by measuring the total number of tweets posted during a particular time period. If this is the case, it’d be important to note that the Lakers and Knicks have two of the biggest fanbases in the sport.

The Lakers are in the midst of a disappointing season, currently sitting at 12-12 on the year.

The team’s success could pick up with the return of star LeBron James, who recently missed time while in the league’s health and safety protocol.

Check out the full results of the study below.

Nicholas Craven Teams Up With Boldy James For His Newest Single, “Yzerman”

Montreal producer Nicholas Craven, who recently worked on Mach-Hommy’s Balens Cho, has teamed up with Boldy James for his newest single, “Yzerman.” The track serves as the first single to Craven’s upcoming album Craven N 3. The song’s title is likely a reference to legendary hockey player Steve Yzerman.

As for why Craven tagged the Griselda rapper for the project, he recently told Complex that he was impressed with James’ effort, The Price of Tea in China, a collaborative project with The Alchemist.

“For the last album in my Craven N series, I wanted a lineup consisting of the hardest MCs that weren’t on any previous installments,” Craven told Complex. “Of all the names that ended up making the cut, Boldy was the first that came to mind. I’ve been a fan of his since My 1st Chemistry Set but after The Price of Tea in China dropped, he solidified himself as one of the most important figures in the game and I knew that I had to work with him.”

Check out “Yzerman” below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Tricky dance moves, mini Drac’ in the coupe
Stick big as bamboo, quick to lace a n***a’s boots
Tied in, hunnid shots, I’m like a live band
Shoot a movie on you, turn your block into a drive-in

Kevin Hart, John Mulaney, & More Comedians Removed From Spotify

Content from Kevin Hart, John Mulaney, and hundreds of other comedians has been removed from Spotify over a dispute regarding royalty payments. A large group of comedians is hoping to earn royalty payments when their content is played on streaming services similar to the way musicians earn money for the usage of their music.

Spoken Giants, the organization representing the comedians, released a statement explaining their position on their website: “Compared to music and other media, Spoken Word assets are under-represented in today’s sonic landscape and more importantly key rights, provided for under copyright law, are not paid by the very channels that obtain great value from using comedy works, podcasts, and other spoken-word assets.”

Among the comedians represented by Spoken Giants are Gabriel Iglesias, Patton Oswalt, Paula Poundstone, Roy Wood Jr., and more.

In response, a Spotify spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly that the company “has paid significant amounts of money for the content in question, and would love to continue to do so.”

They continued: “It’s imperative that the labels that distribute this content, Spotify, and Spoken Giants come together to resolve this issue to ensure this content remains available to fans around the globe.”

CNN Fires Chris Cuomo Over Attempt To Aid His Brother, Andrew Cuomo

CNN has fired Chris Cuomo “effective immediately.” The news anchor had previously been suspended for aiding his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, amidst a series of accusations of sexual harassment.

The station announced the decision in a statement, Saturday: “Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.”

Earlier this week, Chris was suspended after the New York Attorney General’s office released documents detailing how he used his position to find dirt on Andrew’s accusers and helped the former governor craft a response to the charges.

Chris responded to the firing on Twitter, with a statement on his own: “This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother. So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot. I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work.”

Raekwon Says RZA Shot Down Leonardo DiCaprio-Produced Wu-Tang Biopic

In his new memoir, From Staircase to Stage: The Story of Raekwon and Wu-Tang ClanRaekwon reveals that RZA once shot down a Wu-Tang Clan biopic produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Raekwon says he wanted the film to rival the success of NWA’s Straight Outta Compton movie.

The legendary rapper explains that, through the help of Q-Tip, he arranged a meeting with Dicaprio, in which the iconic actor seems very onboard with the potential project.

“We had a great time, eating pizza, telling stories, laughing and s***,” Raekwon wrote. “Then we started talking about the possibility of a Wu-Tang movie and I told Leo I’d love to see him play a role in it, anything he wanted to do. He talked about his production company and all the directors he thought might do a great job — and these were big names and people he’d worked with. He was super open to the idea, and after that meal, he had his production company executives reach out to me. We took it to the next level with them. They were very interested, so we got the ball rolling, talking real numbers, with the goal of an even bigger release than Straight Outta Compton.”

Despite the meeting going well, Raekwon says he could tell RZA wasn’t feeling the idea.

“This bull**** hurt my feelings because it proved to me that he’d already counted me out before I began,” he said. “He didn’t think I could bring that kind of power to the table, but I’d gotten them there, all ready to rock and roll. They were excited and connected, so with the snap of a finger they could have gotten the ball rolling for real.”

Eventually, the rap group landed the Hulu series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
