Stevie J Requests Spousal Support In Faith Evans Divorce: Report

The twists and turns of Steevie and Faith Evans’s marriage have once again sparked a discussion. The longtime-friends-turned-lovers surprised their fans back in 2018 when they reportedly wed in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony, but marriage hasn’t been the easiest road. There have been a few social media spats with Stevie’s ex Joseline Hernandez, and Evans was reportedly arrested following a domestic dispute.

Throughout it all, the singer and producer seem to find their way back to one another, but their latest antics have confused the public. The day after the news was shared that Stevie filed for divorce, the couple was photographed doing cartwheels on the beach.

Then, a video showing Stevie berating his wife was leaked, showing the producer-reality star accusing Evans of cheating. Last week, she caught up with TMZand when they asked about the status of her marriage to Stevie, she seemingly avoided the question and mentioned he was in the kitchen waiting for her interview to finish.

Many took this as a hint of reconciliation, but new reports suggest that this divorce is still on. The Blast stated that Stevie not only filed for divorce, but he has requested that a court order his wife to pay him monthly spousal support. The outlet stated that paperwork shows they listed they “separated” on October 19 over “irreconcilable differences” and also stated that Stevie does not want to pay Evans any support.

A prenuptial agreement was not mentioned, but apparently, the couple has not divided their debts and assets just yet. Of course, they may have gotten back together and Stevie can request for this divorce to be removed at any time.

Fredo Bang Is All About The “Get Back” On New Single

It’s been an eventful year for Fredo Bang, to say the least. 2021 was shaping up to be a massive breakout year for the Baton Rouge rapper. The success of the “Top (Remix)” ft. Lil Durk put a new set of eyes on him, as he prepared to release his project, Murder Made Me. Unfortunately, he was later incarcerated and remained in jail for months while his team released the project on his behalf. However, he was released last month and his recent spree of singles is proof that he’s ready to make up for lost time.

This week, the rapper shared his latest single, “Get Back.” Delivering a scorching banger with smooth, Southern production as he reflects on the mayhem and politics of the streets.

Check out the latest from Fredo Bang below.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m on ‘I wish a n***a would’ shit
Convicted felon with a full clip
All black with a skimask, we pullin’ up anonymous
We put opps up in a grave, I know my dead homies been proud of us

NBA Youngboy Delivers New Single “Black Ball”

NBA Youngboy might be one of the biggest stars in rap but he releases music like a hungry, unsigned artist waiting for a big break. The rapper unveiled Sincerely, Kentrell earlier this year, then followed it up with the NBA Youngboy compilation. In the midst of both projects, his YouTube page began filling up with loose singles that he’d barely acknowledge existed.

Just a few days after releasing the double whammy, “Heart & Soul/Alligator Walk,” he’s back with another new record titled, “Black Ball,” and an accompanying video. While he is on house arrest, the rapper offers fans a glimpse into his day-to-day life. The rapper’s syrupy melodies take center stage as he details his persistence and resilience that’s allowed him to survive the streets and come up on top in the rap game, even without the support of radio.

Check out the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
On top of the mountain
Lookin’ down on all these n***as hatin’ on me
And I see, I got ’em all debatin’ on me
Naw, I’m gon’ get paid, can’t take this hate off me

Jaah SLT Shares New Project “One Year Later”

Charlotte rapper Jaah SLT has been on a blitz this year. Unlike 2020, the rapper hasn’t dropped off a full body of work, instead opting to deliver a flurry of singles throughout 2021. Songs like “Rent Free” and “Feeling Hot” have been on steady rotation as the budding rapper continues to carve out his own lane.

To kick off the month of December, the rapper blessed fans with his latest body of work, One Year Later. His new project contains a total of 12 songs, including both the singles previously mentioned. While Jaah holds down the project largely on his own, he enlists Sleepwalkin SLT, LowEye SLT, and Jasiah for the tracklist.

Check out the latest offering from Jaah SLT below and sound off in the comments with your favorite song on the project.

Noname Has Nixed The Release Of ‘Factory Baby’ And Might Be Done Making Music Altogether

In late 2019, shortly after Chicago rapper and activist Noname initially announced that Factory Baby, the follow up to 2018’s wildly praised 25, would be out in 2020, she started insinuating that perhaps her “heart isn’t fully in it anymore.” She tweeted back then about how she felt that “the relationship between ‘artist’ and ‘fan’ is really f*cking unhealthy. Yall like what y’all like and hate what y’all hate. And I don’t wanna be on either side. I’m just tryna read and organize. After factory baby it’s (peace sign emoji).”

After some delays and uhhhh…a freakin’ pandemic, she released the track “Rainforest” in early 2021, a sleek but pleading track that saw her voicing her displeasure for her mind state and the state of the world in general. It was presumably the first single from Factory Baby. But that’s been it from Noname musically ever since — and yesterday, she confirmed that it could very well be the last piece of music she ever releases.

In a post on her Instagram story, Noname opened up about how empty she feels musically and how it has become increasingly difficult to create. With a picture of herself, she posted a lengthy caption that read:

“Most days I’m not sure if I’ll ever make music again,” she said. “The last time I was consistently making songs was 4 years ago. It’s been so hard to find producers to link up with and who I genuinely connect with sonically. I’m truly grateful for the art I was able to release but that might be it from me. Like it shouldn’t be this hard. No like this shit actually makes me incredibly sad and I rarely leave the crib these days. I don’t want to keep lying and saying there’s an album on the way when there’s not. I’m sorry I’ve led y’all on. I wanted to believe things would change but they haven’t.”

It’s a bummer. There’s really no other way to say it. Noname has been a welcome and vital voice out of the Chicago rap scene that surged in the mid 2010’s and blossomed big time from there. Her Noname Book Club helps raise POC voices with their picks and also uses funds raised to send books to incarcerated people. It secured a physical HQ earlier this year. It’s been a rough two years all around and here’s hoping that whatever Noname chooses to do moving forward, is something that makes her truly happy and fulfilled.

NBA Youngboy’s Clubhouse Appearance Leads To Huge Surge On App Store

The hype around Clubhouse died down but it might be NBA Youngboy’s fanbase that revives the platform’s popularity, at least on the App Store. Last week, Youngboy made an appearance on Clubhouse where he joined Akademiks for an in-depth interview. He discussed everything from his crush on Doja Cat to his listening habits, which apparently excludes many of his peers such as Lil Baby, 21 Savage and Polo G.

The conversation had plenty of viral bits but it seems that it also led to a surge in Clubhouse downloads on Apple’s App Store. As Akademiks reports, the app previously stood at 60th on the App Store before propelling to #5 in the days following Youngboy’s appearance. It’s an impressive feat, one which shows the gravity of Youngboy’s influence on the youth, even if he claims to be blackballed from the industry.

Youngboy’s conversation with Akademiks wasn’t his only appearance on Clubhouse, though. Days later, he hopped into a room where 21 Savage was speaking and began to troll him. Then, he hosted his own room when the mother of his child, Yaya Mayweather, inserted herself into the conversation. Perhaps, we’ll be hearing more from NBA Youngboy with his newfound presence on Clubhouse.

In related news, the rapper was expected to release his long-awaited collaboration with Birdman, From The Bayou on Friday, which never happened. At this point, it would be surprising if it ever saw the light of day.
