Cardi B & Hennessy Carolina’s MAGA Accusers Want Request To Dismiss Lawsuit Tossed: Report

She just welcomed her second child into the world, but Cardi B is facing a series of legal battles. The rapper and her Migos husband Offset are enjoying those first days with their newborn, however, Cardi is still awaiting her fate in the assault case out of New York. Additionally, the “Up” artist continues to battle it out, legally of course, with that group of Trump supporters who she argued with back in September 2020.

Last year, Cardi, her sister Hennessy Carolina, and Hennessy’s girlfriend Michelle Diaz were all sued by Peter Caliendo, Pauline Caliendo, and Manuel Alarcon over the verbal altercation.

It was back in the Fall when the trio had a run-in with Hennessy while in the Hamptons. The three accusers claim that they were just enjoying themselves at the beach when Hennessy approached and shouted at them. One of them was wearing a MAGA hat and in a video that went viral, the group was called “racist MAGA supporters.

Cardi wasn’t actually present for the encounter but Hennessy sent Cardi the clip of the incident and the rapper tweeted it to her millions of social media followers. The group has filed recent documents asking for the court to toss out Cardi’s request to dismiss the suit.

Radar Online reports, “To make matters worse, they claim the video Cardi posted was edited to make them look racist. Hennessy denied the claims saying they told her to go back to her country. She accused them of targeting her because they heard her speaking Spanish.” Cardi and her team asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit because their comments should not be seen as defamatory if they are stating their opinions. The group disagreed.

They also mentioned Cardi’s “extreme social behaviors, and words, in videos on the internet.” Check out the video of the incident below.

Master P Believes Drake And Kanye West’s Teams Are Partly Responsible For Their Beef

Drake and Kanye West’s long-running beef ramped up towards the end of August after the rappers traded a pair of disses — Kanye’s on his new album Donda, Drake’s on a guest verse with Trippie Redd. Things further amplified when Kanye posted the home address of Drake’s Toronto mansion. Drake’s response to that seemed to come on “7am on Bridle Path,” from his newly-released sixth album Certified Lover Boy. He then leaked Kanye’s unreleased track “Life Of The Party,” which featured a stellar verse from Andre 3000.

There’s no telling where things will go next, but according to Master P, the blame doesn’t lie with Drake and Kanye. “I think it’s the people around them,” he said during an interview with Allison Interviews. “You have to have people giving you better advice, and you have to hold yourself accountable. I’ve always had self-accountability. And start thinking about what you say or what you do, and how it affects and hurts other people, and how you wouldn’t want that to be happening to you and your family. [There’s] a lot of self-hate.”

“I would rather sit in the sewer and eat cheese with rats than sit at a nice restaurant and drink champagne and eat lobster and steak with a snake, and I think that’s what a lot of us are doing,” Master P added. “When you get to that level of the game like some of these artists, why lose what you have? Once you get killed or go to jail there’s no turning back.”

Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Sues Fake Merch Sellers Profiting From Brand: Report

On the heels of news that a singer believes she’s been stiffed in royalties owned to her by Nipsey Hussle, the late rapper’s estate is targeting people profiting from fake merchandise. Singer Tasmeela Yasin claims she co-wrote “Hussle & Motivate” and was never paid royalties from Nipsey’s Victory Lap project, and not long after the rapper’s estate denied her allegations, they have reportedly returned to go after bootleggers.

According to TMZ, the estate has stated that the majority of fake merch sellers are stationed in China, but that has not stopped them from being served with a lawsuit.

Sam Asghedom, Nipsey’s brother, is the administrator of the estate and according to the outlet, he has issued a “suit against several entities that the estate believes are behind a bunch of e-commerce websites selling knockoff Marathon-related clothing.” A simple search through certain overseas websites and apps shows clothing and accessories sporting many of Nipsey’s logos, including the popular “Crenshaw” script—and it is all being done without permission.

The lawsuit also reportedly states that many of the fake merch sellers are linked to different online retailers and it is obvious that they are connected because they host the same misspelled words and tactics. “The estate also believes a lot of these sites are operating out of China, and perhaps in concert with one another, using different operating systems and domain host sites to cover their tracks,” reports TMZ.

The estate is hoping that the court will award them domain registrars, all profits on trademarked materials, “or $2 million per infraction.”

Baby Keem’s ‘The Melodic Blue’ Tracklist Features Don Toliver, Kendrick Lamar, And Travis Scott

It’s been well over two years since Baby Keem dropped a full-length project, namely Die For My B*tch, which was responsible for his breakout hit song, “Orange Soda.” Now, Keem is just days away from releasing The Melodic Blue, his major-label debut, and ahead of its release, the rapper unveiled its official tracklist.

Kodak Black Donates $20K To Daughter Of Officer Who Died From COVID

Despite his legal setbacks, internet beefs, and controversial remarks, Kodak Black is an artist who regularly takes the time to pay it forward. Over the years, we’ve reported on the Florida rapper giving toys to children during the holiday season, donating money to causes that affect his community, and even going door-to-door in the hot summer months with air conditioning units for underserved neighborhoods.

According to a new report, Kodak is once again showing off his philanthropic efforts by donating $20K to the child of a police offer who died of COVID-19.

Florida has been ravaged by coronavirus during this pandemic, and in this second wave, it is one of the leading states with the most cases. Last week, we reported that the CDC stated Florida has over 20K cases and that included Fort Lauderdale police officer Jennifer Sepot. Reports state that she passed away due to complications with the virus and she is survived by several family members, including her two-year-old daughter.

Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s attorney, spoke with TMZ about the donation. After reading an article about Sepot Kodak reportedly told Cohen, “Make sure that kid is straight. Pay for her college fund.” It is said that Kodak was moved by the story because he, too, was diagnosed with COVID-19. For approximately 10 days, the rapper experienced a number of symptoms including difficulty breathing and body aches.

So, Kodak donated $20K to the college fund set up for the toddler and the Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police issued a statement to TMZ.

They say they are “grateful to everyone who has donated to the Sepot family in memory of Jennifer. Her loss has had an immeasurable and lasting impact on our officers. The generosity by supporters has offered a degree of hope during a time in which support for law enforcement feels to be a waning movement.”

Nicki Minaj Wants To Hear Kehlani, Summer Walker, Jhené Aiko, Brandy & More Redo Her Vocals

We may have new music coming, sort of, thanks to Nicki Minaj. Young Money kicked up dust recently by stating that she is the one and only “Queen of Rap,” and as Hip Hop fans battle out that debate on social media, Nicki is asking a few R&B ladies to showcase their talents. There are several ladies in the genre who have been making waves, topping charts, creating hits, and becoming legends, and we’ve heard many of them come together on projects and singles. However, there is a particular group that Minaj is hoping will take on her challenge.

A clip of Minaj singing has gone viral on social media, and it seems as if Nicki is looking for R&B artists to join in, or redo what she was working on.

After retweeting a few of her dedicated fans, Nicki wrote, “Summer, Jhené & Kehlani can be good in the blend as well with their harmonies.” The Barbz were thrilled at the possibility and Summer replied, “I’d love that.”  An excited Kehlani seemingly co-signed and added, “What is happenING HEY [crying emoji].”

All they need now is confirmation from Jhené and it’s a go. Nicki responded to Summer stating, “Ok puddin pop. Love you. Dm it or post it when u want. No big zeal.” Elsewhere, Nicki said she wanted to hear “Keke, Tamar & Brandy to redo” her vocals. We might have a challenge on our hands, but Minaj was quick to note that she didn’t set off to make it such.

“This isn’t a challenge,” she told a Twitter user. “This is me asking ppl who r talented to do Smthn that I think I can do Smthn dope with. Too much respect for them to say may the best girl win. No way. No ma’am. They alrdy won.” Check it all out below.

Rick Ross Offers Up Boss Advice For DaBaby: “You Are Here For A Reason”

We haven’t heard much from DaBaby in recent days after he faced backlash over his homophobic remarks. Although the North Carolina-bred rapper was hit with a firestorm of criticism from the public, it seems that he is following the advice of his mentors and laying low until the next controversy steals social media attention.

Through DaBaby’s scandal, there have been several artists and entertainers who have come forward to speak up for him. Nick Cannon, Boosie Badazz, YG, and 50 Cent were just a handful of people who were confident that DaBaby could bounce back, and now Rick Ross is lending his voice.

While promoting his book The Perfect Day to Boss Up: A Hustler’s Guide to Building Your Empire on The Bakari Seller’s Podcast, Rozay spoke about DaBaby’s recent plight.

“You’re in a different position,” said Ross. “You have millions and millions of eyes on you and there are so many ways people can take one statement.” Like Fif, Ross advised DaBaby to get back on track and not to deter from his goals. “It’s just all about understanding and keeping the priorities of why you’re here, you’re here for a reason. You’re here to make incredible music for incredible people.”

“So, let’s keep that as the focus. Let’s keep our fans first and foremost. That’s what means the most and that’s why you’re here.”  Listen to Rick Ross on The Bakari Sellers Podcast below.
