Bri Steves Drops Off “TBH” Project Featuring Guapdad 4000 & Symba

After making her major-label debut with the T-Minus and Hitmaka-produced “Jealousy” track in 2018, Bri Steves has finally touched down to bless fans with her full-length TBH outing.

Across nine total tracks, the rising emcee invites names like Guapdad 4000, Symba, and Poundside Pop to lend the assist.
It marks a milestone years in the making for the Philly-bred rapper who generated considerable buzz with self-released joints like “Ain’t Shit” and “Late Night” before making her way to Atlantic post-graduation for a slew of singles that ultimately led to TBH.

“I don’t talk enough about how hard it was to go to school and be an artist but my senior year was a low point for me,” Steves once penned after graduating from Temple University. “I had a tough time balancing class during the day […] but I wanted to prove that you don’t have to choose between goals.”

Dyme-A-Duzin Grabs R&B Vet Tweet For “QUEEN”

Dyme-A-Duzin just dropped off his latest album Ghetto Olympics 2featuring a handful of guests. No guest really rings a bell the way Tweet does though. The R&B vet usually stays rather quiet, but she does appear when needed to lay down those infamous raspy yet powerhouse vocals. On “QUEEN” Dyme-A-Duzin croons about a lover and friend.

He uses a sing-song flow during the verse while a sweet little guitar loop vibes the track a mellow vibe. Tweet serenades the track behind the verses, but also joins in to sing with Dyme-A-Duzin on the chorus. We really wish Tweet was allowed to sing on her own here, although their mesh does sound good.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m a go hard this season
No time for the drama and beefing
Long as you and my momma cheesing
Who you got trust for that’ll bust for
You don’t lust for you like (Oooo)
Who got love for you
Not a fuck boy tryna fuck on you like (Aaah)

Jay-Z & Will Smith Among Investors For Rent-To-Own Landis Startup

Landis, a startup that is using the classic rent-to-own strategy to make home ownership more accessible is raising $165 million in a new series of funding from investors that include Will Smith’s Dreamers VC and Jay-Z’s Arrive, the investment arm of Roc Nation.

“We are proud to have invested in Landis,” says Will Smith, in a press release. “Landis is an innovative company that also has a social mission we are aligned with. We are excited to be part of a journey that helps Americans achieve homeownership through financial education.”

Kanye West Is Indeed Holding A Second Listening Event For ‘Donda’

Kanye West held a listening event for Donda, his long-awaited new album, earlier this month. It took place at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the rapper stood by himself on the venue’s large floor to premiere songs from the album, which boasted guest appearances from Jay-Z, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Vory, and more. While many expected the project to arrive shortly after the event, that was not the case. Instead, Kanye opted to keep tweaking the album for a future release. He even moved into the Atlanta stadium in order to fully focus on completing the project.

Now Kanye has announced a second listening event for the album. He shared the news on Instagram and confirmed that it will take place on August 5, with the album rumored to drop the following day. The rapper’s label, Def Jam Recordings, also announced the news, adding that it would once again take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The label also revealed tickets to attend the event will be made available on August 2, starting at 10 a.m.

It was just a day ago that TMZ reported that another Donda listening event was possibly in the works. The publication adds that Kanye is hoping to make it substantially different from the first iteration, following an ask from Live Nation and Creative Artists Agency, as they fear a smaller amount of tickets for the August 5 showcase will be sold.

Wale & Chris Brown Get Ready For The Club With “Angles [Club Mix]”

Chris Brown has lined club playlists for three Summer’s in a row at this point with collaborations like “No Guidance” with Drake and “Go Crazy” with Young Thug. The R&B singer’s most recent Summer hit came with Wale’s June track “Angles”, one of Wale’s most successful releases in years. With a bouncy beat, “Angles” was already suited for venues and clubs. However, with the minor changes made to the song with the new “Angles” (featuring Chris Brown)- [Club Mix], the track will be hard to avoid on nights out this Summer.

As is tradition, Chris Brown takes on the hook with his smooth voice and vibey harmonies. His melodies always seem to remain complex enough to keep casual listeners interested while catchy enough for clubgoers to easily sing along. Suffice it to say, his repeated refrains of “I can’t tame you” in “Angles” are successful in this category.

Wale takes over the verses with a casual flow as he continues Brown’s inquiry of a new lover. Over the simple yet bubbly beat, Wale raps slowly about dripping his girl out and giving her the world.

Check out the track below:

Quotable Lyrics:

See the way it’s you and I, girl, I can’t tame you (tame)
I can’t blame you, yeah (blame)
You know the way to pose
You know, you know your angles, oh (straight)

Matt Damon Describes How This Time It’s Different With Ben Affleck & J. Lo

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lope truly weren’t given a fair shot at love when they first started dating in 2002. After meeting and starting a relationship on the set of the 2001 film Gigli, the couple broke up in 2004. However, fans and romantics have been overjoyed to see the couple reunite throughout 2021– they became Instagram official earlier this month.

Those wondering what changed this time around for the couple need to look no further, as Affleck’s friend and fellow actor Matt Damon sat down and spoke on Desus & Mero to describe the changes in the relationship, revealing that the paparazzi were particularly irksome when the two first started dating.

“The press was particularly terrible to them 18 years ago, so what’s nice is at least they’re being nice this time around,” Damon told Desus & Mero while promoting his new movie Stillwater. He admits that it’s weird to have a friend’s relationship so publicized, but still remains close to Affleck while the coupe’s on vacation: “They’re on vacation right now, but he still responded when I hit him up about the Red Sox yesterday.”

Just recently, Damon spoke with Extra about his excitement for Affleck: “[I’m] just so happy for him.”

Rumors started circulating that the couple got back together in May when they took a trip to Miami. They’ve since confirmed via shots of PDA, on top of their own IG confirmation.

Do you think it’ll last this time?

Raptors Exploring Pascal Siakam For CJ McCollum Trade

Heading into next season, the Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors are two teams that need to improve if they want any chance at going far in the postseason. After winning the NBA title back in 2019, the Raptors have regressed as of late and in 2021, they were unable to make it to the playoffs. Now, the team is gearing up for the exodus of Kyle Lowry, who is now going to become a free agent next week. As for the Blazers, they need to keep Damian Lillard happy, and in order to do so, some moves need to be made.

In a new report from Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, it was revealed that the Raptors and Blazers have reportedly discussed a potential deal that would send Pascal Siakam to the Blazers in exchange for CJ McCollum.

Per Fischer:

“There has also been an intriguing CJ McCollum-Pascal Siakam trade framework discussed between Portland and Toronto, though talks between the teams have yet to generate significant momentum, sources said. Rival executives believe the Raptors’ selection of Scottie Barnes seemingly reinforces Siakam’s availability for trade.”

McCollum has been Lillard’s right-hand man for many years now, however, it seems like it might be best for the Blazers to move on. As for Siakam, he has been unable to recapture the magic of his 2019 run, which could very well mean he’s ready for some new scenery.

Dyme-A-Duzin Is Ready For The “Ghetto Olympics 2”

Back in April, Dyme-A-Duzin dropped of TRAINING, a prelude to Ghetto Olympics 2. The short project was a good teaser, but now the main event has arrived. Ghetto Olympics 2 is here, running for 12 tracks. Devon Bell, Radamiz, Canickey McMickey, Niqa Mor, and Tweet. The Brooklyn representer comes equipped with slick flows and excited bars.

The production for the project ranges from regal and calm to turn up and hectic. The versatility of the production allows Dyme-A-Duzin to really shine on the album. Tracks like “BLACK MAN” will have you headbanging, while “QUEEN” featuring R&B goddess Tweet is the perfect vibing music. The lyrical chops are strong with this one, but we feel as if Dyme-A-Duzin’s latest piece won’t get the respect it deserves. Don’t let Ghetto Olympics 2 pass you by. Stream the album everywhere now.

Kyle Kuzma Offers Cryptic Message To His Detractors

Kyle Kuzma has been through a lot of ups and downs during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers. When he first started out with the team, he was one of the franchise’s number one options on offense. Once LeBron James and Anthony Davis arrived in town, Kuzma was forced to take a step back which didn’t exactly work so well in his favor. Kuzma struggled to find his footing within the Lakers rotation and it led to some bad games that had Lakers fans on his head.

Throughout the offseason, there have been various rumors surrounding Kuzma, however, it all came to a climax on Thursday as Kuzma was traded to the Washington Wizards in a package deal that brought Russell Westbrook to Los Angeles. Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are the two other Lakers players who were traded in the deal.

Now, some are wondering what Kuzma’s role will be in the Wizards offense as he will be paired up with the likes of Bradley Beal. Recently, the Ball Don’t Stop Twitter account, known for lamenting the importance of “pure hoopers,” offered praise for Kuzma noting that he is a beast with the ball when placed in the proper situation.

Kuzma agreed with the sentiment as he quote-tweeted the post saying “Laugh now cry later” with some praying hand emojis. Needless to say, Kuzma wants to prove all of his haters wrong this season, and rightfully so.

If Kuzma can get back to his old ways in Washington, then he will certainly be back in the good graces of NBA fans. For the sake of Wizards fans, we hope he does it.

Drake, LeBron James, & Maverick Carter Produce Hockey Racial Doc “Black Ice”

The history of Black hockey players hasn’t been fully explored in popular media. Drake, LeBron James, and Maverick Carter are aiming to change that. The three businessmen, along with Adel “Future” Nur, are set to executive produce a documentary called Black Ice that will be premiering in Canada.

James and Carter are producing via their The SpringHill Company imprint, which has also been responsible for Space Jam: A New Legacy, More Than a Game, and The Carter Effect. Drake and Nur will produce via their DreamCrew Entertainment imprint. The two groups of entrepreneurs have worked together in the past, most famously to revive Top Boy. Black Ice will also be produced by Uninterrupted Canada.

The doc will center around Black hockey players facing racism in hockey, and will be directed by Oscar nominee Hubert Davis. The doc will outline the historical marginalization of Black hockey players in Canada by exploring the early pioneers of the Colored Hockey League. The doc will also cover the state of hockey when it comes to inclusivity today.

“Despite the hardships and struggles, this story is about resilience and how society views itself today while offering a path forward to a more equitable and inclusive future,” stated Uninterrupted Canada chief content officer Vinay Virmani. “I think it is more important than ever before for all generations, particularly young people of colour, to understand and see the diverse faces who have contributed and shaped one the essential fabrics of our country,” added director Davis.

Bell Media will release Black Ice on Canada’s TSN, Crave, and CTV platforms. A distribution deal for the United States is currently being negotiated.
