Migos Talk Gambling In Las Vegas & The Arrival Of Aliens On “The Late Late Show”

Fresh off f Migos are making their media rounds. The Atlanta rap trio recently stopped by the Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio show and debunked the longtime rumor that they almost signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, and now, it appears that Migos have made a big appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

According to Complex, Migos’ recent appearance on James Corden’s show marks the first time that Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff have appeared together with the English comedian since 2018, when they all joined forces for the extremely popular “Migos Carpool Karaoke” video.

During the brief interview, Migos walk Corden through their typical day-to-day routine while in Las Vegas, which kicks off with a late-night performance, transitions into a studio session or party, and ultimately concludes with an extremely long stretch of gambling. Offset and Quavo reveal that they prefer to test their luck with Craps.

“We gambling from six probably all the way until noon,” Quavo says at one point in the interview, and when saying that he and Offset often try to win $200,000 in the dice game, Offset confirms it to be true, saying, “Sound about right.”

While Takeoff is quick to distance himself from his groupmate’s extensive gambling, he does have a lot to say when the conversation shifts to alien conspiracy theories. When asked what they think Earth would be like in 50 years, Offset quickly rattles off “flying cars,” but Takeoff and Quavo are convinced that aliens will be among us.

Surprisingly, both Takeoff and Quavo are confident that they’ll be friends with the aliens, and Takeoff even admits to already being in contact with them. “He told me when they were coming so I can’t spill the beans,” Takeoff said while takes a moment to show off his alien astronaut chain. “But there’s gon’ be a lot going on.”

Watch Migos’ interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show below. The trio starts discussing gambling near the 0:53-mark, and the alien discussion begins much later, near the 3:39-mark.

Polo G “Hall Of Fame” Not Selling As Well As Expected

Chicago rapper Polo G is having an incredible week on the sales front– it’s just not as good as it was expected to be. Following the release of his third studio album Hall Of Fame, which features Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Pop Smoke, DaBaby, and more, it seemed as though the rapper was headed toward a definite debut at the top of the Billboard 200. Early sales projections placed him as the leader of the pack with between 165K and 175K sales of the album in its first week out. However, as fans continue to share their opinions of the new album, sales continue to dwindle. On Wednesday (June 16), it was revealed that Polo G is now expected to move only 135K copies of the album, which marks a dramatic decrease from the first numbers announced.

Despite the album not performing as well as fans had hoped, Polo G is still in the lead for the #1 position on the charts. The Migos come in right behind him at #2 with their new album Culture III, which is now expecting to move 126K copies. Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album will be pushed to the third spot with 120K units moved. Notably, Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s collaborative album is still performing well in its second week out, selling about 88K copies.

Megan Thee Stallion Fans Allegedly Threaten GOP Politician For Slamming Her Music

The uproar that ensued after Cardi B and Megan thee Stallion unleashed the visual for their fiery collab “WAP” last summer was an unforgettable moment in pop culture history. It’s clear the leading ladies of rap didn’t let the critics get to them though, with Megan recently releasing an equally twerk-tastic video for her latest single “Thot Shit.”

The visual depicts Meg and her crew ridiculing, harassing, and running over a politician–something Republican politician DeAnna Lorraine feels like was targeted at her. It seems like Meg’s Hotties have her back no matter what, however, and have been sending threats to Lorraine, as she revealed to TMZ.

In a new interview with the publication, Lorraine explained that given their past beef, she felt the video where Meg gets revenge on a conversation politician who trashes her and her music was aimed at her. If you recall last year Lorraine penned on her now suspended Twitter account,  “Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion just set the entire female gender back by 100 years with their disgusting & vile ‘WAP’ song.”

In her interview with TMZ published on Wednesday (June 16), she revealed  “I got the whole army of Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B [fans] after me,” she said. “There’s thousands of text messages, phone calls, emails, Instagram messages—you name it—coming after me, telling me to die, kill myself, jump off a cliff, I’m this horrible racist.

“So many different messages threatening to kill me, they were coming after my house, they knew my address. Actually, I still get a lot of those messages, too.” She shared some of the messages with the publication, with some of the alleged threats including rolling up to her house, and reference to the content of the “Thot Shit” video. Others called Lorraine out for her hypocrisy

Lorraine, who has praised the Kenosha shooter, adds “I’m trying to help them realize that there’s a positive way to be successful in society that doesn’t mean selling your body on the streets and getting that money. According to reports at the time, Lorraine was suspended from Twitter after baselessly claiming immigrants would enter the U.S. and commit acts of violence if former disgraced POTUS wasn’t reelected.

Megan has yet to comment on the matter.

Tupac Would Have Turned 50 Today

2Pac Shakur continues to influence hip-hop to this day, to the point where he remains an inspiring figure for young rappers. Even those unfamiliar with Pac’s discography have come to appreciate his attitude and perspectives on life, art, and culture. A poetic and imposing figure who, prior to his death at twenty-five, recorded and released four studio albums — including undeniable classics Me Against The World and All Eyes On Me.

Were he alive today, it’s impossible to fathom how much hip-hop might have changed. Think about how many key events he would have impacted. Would Snoop Dogg have signed with No Limit? Would he have rolled with Death Row and Murder Ink against Shady-Aftermath, a feud in which his name and music were directly invoked? Some of his contemporaries of the time — Snoop, Nas, Ghostface Killah — have built up double-digit catalogs. Provided he didn’t retire or commit further to film, it’s fair to speculate that Pac would still be releasing music to this day.

Seeing as today would have been a milestone occasion for the late rapper, we’d like to extend our thoughts, prayers, and birthday love to one of hip-hop’s undeniable greats. Though it’s entirely possible that casual newcomers to hip-hop will gloss over Pac’s discography, opting to admire him from afar without doing due diligence, his impact is so great that anyone with a sincere passion for the culture will familiarize themselves without a second thought.

Happy birthday to the one and only 2Pac Shakur, one of the greatest to ever do it. May he rest in peace. What’s your favorite 2Pac song, moment, or album?

Peter Gunz Declares “The Real Winner” After Wild Cisco Fight

Peter Gunz finally got his chance to tear down his long-time foe Cisco Rosado last weekend, squaring off against each other in the boxing ring. The two Love & Hip-Hop cast members seemingly couldn’t wait to throw punches against each other, going wild after the fight got out of control with Cisco throwing off his gloves and attempting to start a bare-knuckle fight. While we’ll need to wait to see whether they book a second fight with different rules, Peter Gunz is confident in declaring that he walked away from the night as a winner, booking club appearances as “The Real Winner” of the bout.

Hosting an event in Dallas, Texas this upcoming weekend on Friday, Peter Gunz told the world that despite how it looked on screen, he walked away as the winner of the fight. “Dallas has spoken!! See you Friday,” he wrote on Instagram. The promotional poster he shared declares him the “real” winner of his match against Cisco. “Can finally drink smoke and turn the fuck up,” he added in his caption.

It may feel as though Cisco and Peter Gunz left the arena even bigger enemies than they entered, but on Gunz’ side, it’s nothing but love. After the fight, he shared a picture with Rosado, writing, “And just like that it’s over!! Just want to say thank you to all my friends and family for the overwhelming support I love you all.. Congratulations @cisco_rosado let’s take our first drink together!!”

Who do you think won? Cisco or Peter Gunz? Watch the video of their fight below.

Watch Mariah Carey & Busta Rhymes’ “I Know What You Want” Documentary

Mariah Carey has been one busy pop star. After departing ways with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management in favor of working with a smaller team, she’s already got a few new projects she’s working on unleashing. One of those projects is a joint documentary in collaboration with repeated collaborator Busta Rhymes.

The honest and reflective documentary titled DIVINE: The 18 Year Anniversary Celebration was released via YouTubes, and it provides a closer look at the culmination of their hit track “I Know What You Want.” Originally released back in 2003, the film includes interviews with the likes of film director Chris Robinson, actor Michael Kai White, along with rappers Spliff Star, Rah Digga, Rampage, Baby Sham, and Trippie Redd.

In celebration of the nearly two-decade relationship between the two music legends, the short doc highlights the immense influence the song had on R&B and Hip-Hop culture. Rhymes explained, “We took [the song] up another notch without compromising what the legacy of the original was. That’s important to me — don’t touch the classic if you can’t make it just as dope, if not better.”

The documentary also features how Rhymes gave life to the legacy of the song by creating a second part with Trippie Redd’s “I Got You,” leading into part three “Where I Belong” from his latest project Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.

Predicting the impact adding a Mariah verse would make on the song’s success, Rah Digga says in the doc, “…once [Busta] told us that he was considering putting Mariah on the record, I think it just kinda sunk into everybody that ‘oh snap like we boutta have a real *ss mega-hit record on our hands here.'”

“I Know What You Want” went on to be a smash hit for the duo, ranking #17 on the Hot 100 2003 year-end chart and garnering over 500 million streams to date. Check out DIVINE: The 18 Year Anniversary Celebration below.

Tay-K Makes Surprising Live Announcement From Prison

“The Race” rapper Tay-K was sentenced to fifty-five years in prison for murder a couple of years ago. Rarely getting a chance to communicate with his fans online because of his incarceration, the 21-year-old rapper’s fanbase has continued to support him throughout his legal difficulties. His family has spoken up on multiple occasions to call out the alleged injustice in his case, arguing that the young man should have gotten a lighter sentence. Perhaps addressing some of the chatter surrounding his incarceration, or otherwise celebrating his birthday today with some of the people that love him, Tay-K announced that he will be going live on Wednesday (June 16) to interact with his supporters.

Considering the fact that you’re not supposed to have a cellular device behind bars, some may find it a little surprising that Tay-K would alert fans of his upcoming live stream– especially since he may get in trouble over it. Still, he seems poised to give his supporters the answers they deserve, telling his followers that they can expect a notification when he starts the stream.

“Goin live tomorrow so y’all can ask me questions,” he wrote on Instagram Stories on Tuesday afternoon.

The rapper is presently an inmate at Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas. He has spoken out on a few different occasions about his case and we can surely expect more from Tay in the coming hours.

Will you tune in for his live stream?
