Jets QB Zach Wilson Given Awkward Question About His Mom’s Looks

Zach Wilson got to live out his dream on Thursday night as he was officially drafted into the NFL. He was the second-overall pick and was taken by the New York Jets who were in need of a new man under center. While many fans are excited about Wilson’s services, the QB has been fielding questions about his own mother, who many believe is very attractive. In fact, WFAN’s Craig Carton asked Wilson about his mom which led to some backlash online.

“Your mom has become the lead story, and I say that respectfully because people are like, ‘the star of the first round of the draft is Mrs. Wilson because she’s a very attractive woman.’ And, I’m just wondering how awkward that is for you, that you just got picked second overall in the NFL draft, and the focus is, wow, his mom is really hot.”

“Yeah, it’s not my favorite for sure. I like to keep her out of the spotlight. She’s an awesome lady and I love having her support,” Wilson said in response. While Wilson didn’t appear to be offended by the whole thing, Carton received quite a bit of hatred on social media, which led to his response which can be seen above. Needless to say, Carton sticks by his question especially since he was only referencing an article written by another publication.

While this might be an unsavory distraction right now, we’re sure Wilson is excited to get started with his newfound NFL career.

Diddy Defended At Black Rob’s Funeral: “Puff Always Been There”

Former Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob tragically passed away on April 17th at the age of 51. In the moments leading up to his death, the “Whoa” rapper was vocal about dealing with numerous health complications. He explained he had suffered four strokes in the last five years and was currently homeless. While Black Rob was dealing with the health complications, many questioned why the well-off Diddy did not reach out to help.

Rob’s manager previously called out the mogul for offering to pay for the funeral services, ranting, “People were dragging their feet and nothing got done. So now you gonna pay for his funeral, he dead and gone now! Everybody wanna do something for you when you dead and gone!” Now, an individual from Black Rob’s community named Pete is defending the rap mogul, explaining the anger is fully misplaced at the funeral service for the late Bad Boy artist.

Pete took to the stage at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Harlem on Friday (April 30) to explain the wrong folks were being thanked for Black Rob’s journey while throwing in a round of applause for Diddy. “Also, when you talk about Puff Daddy — [Black Rob] needed medical help, Puff got him the best doctors, he got him the best everything. The best hotels, anything he wanted. He been there from zero day,” the man said.

He continued, “Puff always been there. So shame on y’all if y’all in there talking bad about him. He always helped Rob. Even when we done already — Rob done blew through the money like, ‘Rob, how you went through all this money?’ ‘I don’t know but call Puff.’ Alright? We love y’all.”

It’s unclear whether or not Diddy attended the services. Nonetheless, the consensus seems to be that the Bad Boys CEO did extend as much help as he could.

Black Rob passed away from kidney failure and cardiac arrest at 51 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

Mooski’s “Track Star” has been one of the most popular songs to emerge from TikTok this year. The accompanying dance transformed the viral hit into a Billboard-charting single. Now, there are many artists that are remixing the track and putting their own spin on it like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie who just dropped his version of the song yesterday. DJ Khaled Reveals Nas’s Reaction To Jay-Z’s “Sorry Not Sorry” Verse

DJ Khaled’s “Sorry Not Sorry” remains one of the highlights off of KHALED KHALED with both Nas and Jay-Z delivering incredible verses. It was Jay-Z’s “other B” line that had the world going mad, especially with Beyoncé’s quick “Hey” in the middle of his verse. Even Lil Baby was reciting lines from it after hearing it. Khaled took to Instagram with some BTS footage from his session with Nas where he heard Jay’s verse for the first time. “Yo, man. That’s crazy, yo,” said Nas before Khaled Facetimes Hov.

“So, I’m just here tweaking lines and shit. I’m in here ready to re-write four bars and shit here and there. Yo, ‘Japanese whiskey.’ ‘Y’all n****as got bands but we dance to a different drum.’ Oh, no, no, no. I gotta come back,” Nas said with laughter in his voice while Hov cracks up over Facetime. “This is definitely one for the books.”

“JAY and NAS on one record has been a lifelong dream! And I’m so glad it happened the way it did!TRUE brotherhood! Amazing energy! And love! God was in the booth, on set, and all over this ALBUM,” Khaled said before clarifying that Nas was only joking and no bars were altered. “By the way no lines were changed it was PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL,” he added.

Check out the clip below. Who had the better verse on the track? Nas or Jay-Z? Sound off in the comment section below.

The Grammys Opt To Eliminate ‘Secret Committees’ And Make ‘Significant Changes’ To Their Voting Process

Last fall, the Grammys were dealt a heavy dose of criticism about their nominations. Many were upset with some of The Recording Academy’s choices, or lack thereof, such as failing to nominate The Weeknd in any category despite having the acclaimed album After Hours. Months later, the Grammys announced they’re making “significant changes” to their voting process according to Billboard. This includes the elimination of “secret committees,” who were originally tasked with reviewing nominations in the general and genre-specific categories.

With this removal, nominations in these categories will now be selected by a majority, peer-to-peer vote from The Academy’s members. They also chose to reduce the number of categories voters can make selections in from 15 to 10. The Grammys created two new categories for the award show, Best Global Music Performance and Best Música Urbana Album, and added an extra month to the eligibility period for next year’s award show. The time frame of eligibility is now September 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. The changes will go into effect immediately for next year’s show, which is set for January 31, 2022.

“It’s been a year of unprecedented, transformational change for the Recording Academy, and I’m immensely proud to be able to continue our journey of growth with these latest updates to our Awards process,” Harvey Mason Jr., chair and interim president/CEO of the Recording Academy, said. “This is a new Academy, one that is driven to action and that has doubled down on the commitment to meeting the needs of the music community.”

Vanessa Bryant Honors Gigi On Her “Quinceañera”

Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant passed away in an unfortunate accident early last year, leaving behind their family. Since then, Vanessa Bryant has worked hard to keep their legacy alive in a tasteful manner, calling out publications and fellow members of Hollywood alike for any less than satisfactory depictions of the late Bryants.

As a proud mother often does, her Instagram page is filled with photos celebrating her children and their achievements. Most recently, her and signed-model daughter Natalia lent their likeness to Vogue magazine’s Mother’s Day campaign with Bulgari. Today (May 1), in honor of what would have been Gianna’s 15th birthday, she penned a sweet message for her on social media.

“Dear Gianna, Happy 15th Birthday!” penned the mother of four. “I love you! I miss you everyday! I wish you were here with us. There are no words to express how much I miss you. I love you Mamacita! #15 #Quincenera #Mambacita #Principessa.”

The heartfelt message included the Spanish term for a young girl who turns 15, an ode to Vanessa’s Mexican origins. Leaving the comments on for this post, many other Hollywood elite wished Gigi a happy birthday as well, including Naomi Campbell, Viola Davis, Ellen Pompeo, Kris Jenner, and more.

Ahead of Gigi’s birthday, Vanessa announced the forthcoming Mambacita clothing line, which will go on sale today. All proceeds from the Mabacita clothing collection will be going to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, an organization that works to push forward the legacy of Kobe and Gigi.

Happy Birthday to Gigi!
