Quality Control’s Metro Marrs Plans To Throw $20k At Brother’s Graduation

Graduation season is surely an exciting time for graduates and their families. Of course, it is a bit more exciting when you’re graduating into a major label deal with one of the hottest labels in music right now. As you may recall, recent Quality Control signee Metro Marrs was escorted out of his high school graduation last week in handcuffs after making it rain $10k in cash at the ceremony.

While his fellow grads surely appreciated the gesture, school administrators and law enforcement were not as amused. He recently spoke out the incident, explaining, “I was creating a moment that would be memorable. I had to do that for the last time. Everybody was lit! We graduating high school!” The budding artist now exclusively tells TMZ he plans to pull the same stunt next year, this time with double the cash.

Marrs tells the publication he plans to make it rain $20k in cash at next year’s ceremony at Langston Hughes High School when he attends his brother’s graduation. You may ask, is he risking getting arrested once again to successfully pull off the stunt?

This time around, Marrs explains that the Atlanta high school, the same one Summer Walker, Gunna, Playboi Carti, and more attended, are completely cool with him doing it. He adds that even though he was detained by the police, it was worth it since he viewed it as giving back.

He continued to explain that the school has no hard feelings and noted he visited his principal’s office the day after graduation and they dapped him up. As we reported, he was detained by police following the money-throwing stunt at his own HS graduation last week for inciting a riot and disorderly conduct, eventually being ticketed for it.

Watch the clip of the stunt for yourself if you haven’t already seen it.

Sylvester Stallone Gives His McGregor Vs. Poirier Prediction

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor have had a rich history as rivals and on July 10th at UFC 264, they will be settling the score, once and for all. In 2014, McGregor won the first matchup and just a few months ago, Poirier evened up the series thanks to a second-round knockout. This upcoming trilogy fight will determine who is truly the best fighter between the two, and fans can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Recently, TMZ caught up with actor Sylvester Stallone, who certainly knows a thing or two about the fight game. When asked who he thought was going to win, Stallone offered a diplomatic answer, noting that Poirier has the advantage because his career trajectory has made him much hungrier than McGregor.

“Poirier has the big-time advantage,” Stallone said. “You got a really hungry, young guy [Poirier] and then you got a guy who’s made a lot of money but he’s also sorta hungry [McGregor].”

Stallone acknowledged that virtually anything can happen in the fight and that at the end of the day, it will probably come down to whoever gets the first good punch. However, if the last fight is any indication, then it’s clear that Poirier should be coming into the bout with the edge.

Sneakerheads Caught Doing Push-Ups For Yeezys In Boston

Yesterday, two new colorways of the Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner were released to the masses. The “Mineral Blue” and “Sand” colorways were heavily hyped by fans and considering the aura around the Foam Runner, it should come as no surprise that there were numerous sneakerheads looking to get their hands on some pairs. There were various sneaker boutiques carrying the shoe, and Concepts in Boston was one of them.

Unfortunately, the boutique is now being accused of some bizarre tactics, thanks to a video that was passed around on social media. In the clip below, you can see some people doing push-ups in a bid to get their hands on some shoes. This practice is fairly demeaning and there were many would-be consumers who were very upset at what went down.

“The fuckery that’s Boston location pulled today was uncalled for and should be ashamed of themselves. They had people lined up for hours fir them to come out and pick random people and then have them do push ups like this was a circus,” Twitter user @jackie_cvshorty wrote.

Sneaker boutiques have been ramping up their tactics to weed out resellers, although making people do push-ups on the street is a bit ridiculous. At the end of the day, no shoe is worth more than your dignity.

Brianna Perry Asserts Her Dominance In The Female Rap Game With New Mixtape “Bad Bitch Boulevard”

Women have been asserting themselves as “the baddest bitch” since the early days of Lil Kim and Trina, and in 2021 that prestigious moniker is still being touted by the best female rappers in the game today. For Dade County dame Brianna Perry, she’s making sure you know exactly where to find the baddies with her impressive new mixtape, Bad Bitch Boulevard.

Over the span of 10 tracks, Brianna Perry showcases both an ear for what’s currently popping on the radio while also paying homage to some of the hip-hop greats that came before her throughout this latest project. She pays direct homage to OutKast’s classic track “Elevators (Me & You)” for a full verse on “Nat Turner,” a standout track where you’ll also hear verbal nods to late beat king J Dilla. On “Freak,” which get assistance from KaMillion & Coby Bishop, she’s even gives props to the queen of late-night bedroom bangers Adina Howard by sampling her classic 1995 hit “Freak Like Me.” In short, it’s clear that Perry knows how to pay respects to the artists that inspired and came before her.

Although she keeps things feature-free for the most part on Bad Bitch Boulevard, Brianna does pull out an appearance from often-controversial emcee Boosie Badazz titled “Like A Dawg,” which actually makes for one of the standout cuts on the project overall. Anytime the focus is on music and not the outside stuff is always ideal, so we can only hope Boosie keeps his “badazz” tendencies in the studio and not the streets.

Listen to Bad Bitch Boulevard by Brianna Perry right now on your preferred music streaming service, and let us know what you think of the project down in the comments after giving it a few plays:

Tracklist:

CJ Fly Gets Vulnerable On “My Kid”

CJ Fly, of Pro Era affiliation, is best known as a founding member of the New York collective. After a series of mixtapes released following the group’s formation in 2011, he released his debut album FLYTRAP in 2016 followed by his sophomore project RUDEBWOY last year at the top of quarantine. His sophomore effort included appearances from the majority of the Pro Era collective, as well as Conway the Machine and others.

On Friday, the Brooklyn native returned with the personal cut “My Kid.” As the title suggests, the emotional record features Pro Era’s self-proclaimed Rudebwoy opening up about his earlier years. He also discusses being a father amid the current state of the world, promising to provide more than enough to ensure his little one can live comfortably.

He and his girlfriend Emilia Ortiz welcomed a baby in March of this year after announcing they were expecting back in September. Tune into CJ Fly’s father of the year ode “My Kid” and let us know how you feel about it down in the comments.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Trolls The Heat After Brutal Sweep

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks came into their series against the Miami Heat with a chip on their shoulder. Last season, the Heat upset the Bucks in five games in the second round of the playoffs, and in the eyes of many NBA fans, this was an embarrassing loss for a team that should have gone to the NBA Finals. This year, the Bucks were intent on not letting it happen again, and in the end, they came through with a quick four-game sweep of the Heat.

Jimmy Butler and company struggled throughout the four games, all while Giannis looked like the two-time MVP that he is. Following yesterday’s sweep, Giannis was asked about his team’s mentality throughout the series. In the clip below, Giannis decided to troll the Heat, calling them his team’s “food.”

“There’s a saying, don’t play with your food. We didn’t want to play with our food,” Giannis said. Now, the playoffs are about to get much harder for the Bucks as they will have to take on either the Boston Celtics or the Brooklyn Nets. It’s likely they will play the Nets, who are currently projected as NBA title favorites. If Giannis and company could pull off a win against Brooklyn, then fans will have to start taking them as a real threat to win it all.

Let us know what you thought about the Bucks sweep, in the comments below.

Soulja Boy Is Now Aiming To Become The First Rapper In Space

Over the last few weeks, Soulja Boy has been on a mission to let people know of all the things he has done first. From being the first rapper on YouTube to being the first rapper to talk about Cryptocurrency, Soulja Boy has proven to be a prolific artist who is always setting trends, even if we aren’t necessarily paying attention. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that Soulja is looking to push the envelope, all while going bigger with his firsts.

For instance, the artist took to Twitter last night where he issued a message to Elon Musk. Effectively, Soulja Boy wants to become the first rapper-astronaut, which would certainly be a sight to behold. “Make me first rapper in space @elonmusk,” he wrote.

If you follow either of these men on Twitter, then you know that Soulja Boy is all about the memes and so is Elon Musk. The two of them know how to provoke people and with their internet expertise in mind, they would prove to be a dynamic duo. Whether or not Musk takes Soulja Boy on his space exploration journeys, remains to be seen.

Regardless, one can’t help but imagine a world in which Soulja Boy is discovering new planets and creating new colonies around the universe. You can read our most recent interview with Soulja Boy, right here.
