Snoop Dogg’s Storefront Vandalized With Anti-Crip Graffiti

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg recently had his Funko Pop! store, “Tha Dogg House,” vandalized. The Inglewood, CA location was vandalized sometime at the end of last week, and has links to the rapper’s affiliation with SoCal street gang the Crips. The vandalism included anti-Crip messaging in red paint, likely a reference to Crips’ rival gang, the Bloods. One message included “CK,” or “Crips killer.” Snoop’s mural posted in front of the store was also covered with red paint. The storefront has already been cleaned up.

Snoop Dogg’s store opened in January of this year, selling Funko Pop! and GOLD figurines based on the rapper and his life. “Tha Dogg House” was created shortly after a partnership between Funko Pop! and Snoop was announced. Prior to opening day, Snoop Dogg shared about the venture, “This new store stays true to who I am as an entrepreneur and rapper.” He added, “I can’t wait for my fans to experience, touch, and feel it. Once you see it, it’s like no other thing in the world. ‘Tha Dogg House’ will blow your mind.”

CEO of Funko Pop! Andrew Perlmutter also said about the venture, “Snoop Dogg is an entertainment powerhouse and remains one of the most innovative and versatile figures in the entertainment industry.” He added, “We look forward to the debut of our newest retail experience and our partnership with Snoop whose expertise and impact on pop culture further elevates the brand’s opportunity to connect with fandoms within music and sports.”

Last week, Snoop Dogg teamed up with up-and-coming rapper Scar Lip to share a remix of one of her tracks. The remix of “This Is New York” is called “This Is Cali,” and came shortly after Scar Lip shared the DMs of her asking Snoop to collaborate. Her message read, “Hey Snoop, I’m a big fan & love your music. I have a song called ‘This is New York,’ and wanted to know if you’d get on the remix.” Snoop replied, saying, “F*ck yes.” She later shared a screenshot of the two rappers FaceTiming, revealing that fans could expect to see the remix soon.
