Snoop Dogg has emerged as the winner in a lawsuit brought against him by a woman accusing him of sexual assault. The report comes from court documents obtained by Radar Online earlier today. A California judge dismissed most of the woman’s lawsuit. She had filed it under the pseudonym Jane Doe to protect her privacy. However, she was given the option to refile an amended complaint in federal court within a specific deadline. However, Jane Doe failed to meet the deadline to refile the claim, resulting in the dismissal of the entire lawsuit. Nevertheless, there remains a potential for her to file a case against Snoop Dogg in the future.
In July 2022, it was revealed that the woman, identified only as Jane Doe, initially filed a lawsuit in February. She alleged that Snoop Dogg had forced her to engage in oral sex with him. Snoop Dogg’s legal team dismissed the lawsuit. According to them, it was baseless and an attempt to extort money. The suit was voluntarily withdrawn in April. However, in a surprising turn of events, the woman and her legal team resubmitted the lawsuit in a California district court on July 20. The new filing included the original claims of sexual assault and sexual battery. It also included a defamation claim that was added in an amended complaint filed in March.
The Lawsuit Against Snoop Was Filed Twice
In the revived lawsuit, Jane Doe added new claims against Snoop Dogg. She alleged that he had intended to intimidate and coerce her into not exercising her constitutional rights. She said he did this through a subtly worded Instagram post addressing the original lawsuit. The post in question read, “Gold digger season is here, be careful Nefews keep ya guards up.” Notably, the lawsuit was filed just days before Snoop Dogg’s highly anticipated performance at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, where he shared the stage with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak.
Furthermore, the refiled lawsuit claimed that Snoop Dogg had threatened to pursue a malicious prosecution action against the woman, seeking tens of millions of dollars in retaliation. Allegedly, he also instilled fear and intimidation by authorizing his spokesperson to reveal her identity in a statement issued after the initial filing of the lawsuit. Regardless of this, the lawsuit has now been entirely dismissed. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates.
