Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens officially tied the knot over the past weekend in Texas. Biles shared photos of the special occasion on her official Instagram account. The Olympic star shared a photo of herself and her new husband with the caption, “I do. Officially Owens.” The two were engaged for over a year before their big weekend. Biles became an instant star in her first-ever Olympics appearance. The distinguished Olympian was a part of one of the greatest Team USA gymnastics teams to ever assemble for the big event. According to a Wall Street Journal interview from 2020, Biles says the two may have different stories about how their love began. “He would say I slid into his DMs,’ Biles revealed. I saw him and I was like, Oh, he’s pretty cute, so I said hi and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.” A simple slide into a DM sparked the fire between the new couple. However, neither one is going to admit who instigated the conversation.

A special day that has been a year in the making has finally come true for Biles and Owens. An excellent moment for Owens to enjoy before entering training camp for the Texans upcoming season.
