Naomi Osaka Shares Heartwarming Post About Cordae Flying To See Her U.S. Open Win

Not many rappers spark romances with tennis stars—although, Drake may know something about that—but the relationship between Cordae and Naomi Osaka presses on. The pair of unproblematic celebrities have supported each other through major milestones including music releases and championship wins, and Naomi took a moment to highlight her boyfriend’s attentive ways. On Instagram, the sports icon shared a heartwarming post about the lengths Cordae went through to make sure he was in the stands and cheering for her during the U.S. Open.

Osaka took home the top-tier trophy at the U.S. Open and Cordae was there jumping for joy as her biggest supporter. “Appreciation post for the mister because I feel like it today,” she wrote in a caption to a photo of the couple. “This pic was right after winning the US Open finals. He stopped everything he was doing because I FaceTimed him a couple days earlier and said I was feeling sad and lonely in the bubble.

“I later found out that he hopped on a plane shortly after that call and then quarantined himself for a couple days in a hotel to see me and support,” she continued. “The funniest part is even after doing all this I’m still convinced he doesn’t understand the rules of tennis lol.” Along with the photo, Noami included the footage of Cordae cheering from the stands.

In the comments, Cordae added, “AND 1” with a few laughing emojis. Read through all the love below.

Wendy Williams Takes Aim At Bobby Shmurda & Says He’ll Be In Jail By Summer

No amount of criticism is going to stop Wendy Williams from showing off her messy side. The famed talk show host has a  longstanding reputation for sharing her unfiltered opinions about all things related to pop culture, and recently, she incurred the wrath of Sherhonda Gaulden, NBA YoungBoy’s mother. Williams stated that YoungBoy deserved to go to jail and Mama Gaulden responded with a few expletive-filled posts. Wendy is taking a break from YoungBoy’s news and shared a few thoughts about Bobby Shmurda and it isn’t sitting well with the rapper’s fans.

Shmurda was recently released from prison after serving over six years behind bars and he’s been applauded for adding on time to his own sentence to help out his friends who were also facing charges. Since his release, Shmurda has stayed away from controversy, trouble, and anything that would derail the goals he’s set for himself. However, no matter how well the “Hot N*gga” rapper has been doing since his release, Wendy Williams believes he’ll be back in jail in no time.

Conditions of Shmurda’s release include no alcohol, no clubs, and no staying out past his curfew, and because those are favorites for rappers, Williams doesn’t think he’ll make it. “He’s on parole until 2026 and this young man is only 26-years-old and he’s a rapper and there’s a certain quality of life, or not life, that you lead which led him to jail to begin with,” she said.

“And he was there for six years and he did his reflections and he said, ‘I’m never going back,'” Williams continued. She spoke about Shmurda’s restrictions and unannounced drug testing. “See, here’s what I think, though. Don’t be offended Shmurda, but I think you’ll be in trouble before the middle of the summer comes. I do.”

She was apparently attempting to make the point that there is so much temptation during the summer months that she doesn’t see Bobby Shmurda making it through. We believe in you Shmurda. Check out the clip below.

Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Settles Their Lawsuit Against The Crips Over ‘The Marathon Continues’ Trademark

Nearly two years after the battle began, the lawsuit between the estate for the late Nipsey Hussle and The Crips over “The Marathon Continues” trademark has finally come to an end. According to a report from TMZ, the rapper’s brother Samuel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom informed a Los Angeles County court that a settlement was reached between the two parties. Documents obtained by TMZ reveal that while Nipsey’s estate and The Crips are still working on the final details of the lawsuit, the formal terms of the agreement will be submitted in the near future.

The issue began in May 2019 when Blacc Sam filed a request for “The Marathon Continues” trademark, only to find out that The Crips filed one almost two weeks before his attempt. Sam intended to use the slogan for a number of endeavors including “charitable activities, the doing of good deeds for others and the promotion of ethical and character values.”

More than a year later, Hussle’s estate would file a lawsuit against the corporate section of the gang over the trademark. Through it they sought compensation for damages and an order for The Crips to destroy and remove any merchandise that was made with the trademark.

Nipsey Hussle is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Blueface’s Artist Chrisean Rock Gets His Name Tattooed On Her Face

After surviving his Bad Girls Club-styled boot camp, Chrisean Rock is still riding for Blueface. The rapper faced several other women for the opportunity to work as one of Blueface’s artists and they’ve been carving out her space in the industry for months now. Chrisean is known for her carefree, and often unhinged personality, and recently, she shared with the world that she got Blueface’s government name, Johnthan Porter, tattooed on the side of her face.

Face tattoos are all the rage these days and while Blueface may not have an issue with people getting tattoos in his honor, he said he told Chrisean not to get this ink done. After the clip of her in the tattooist’s chair went viral, Blueface posted a video of his own where he films Chrisean and asks her about her latest stunt.

“Why’d you get that? Who told you to do that?” Blueface asks in the clip. Chrisean responds, “Me, myself, and I.” The two go back and forth about the tattoo before Chrisean tells the rapper that she doesn’t understand why it’s a big deal. Blueface lets her know that he has to live with the consequences of it but admitted that he isn’t too angry at her for getting the tattoo against his approval. Check out the clip below.

Casanova Thanks Bobby Shmurda For Support: “I’m Fighting For My Life”

He’s been in federal custody since the beginning of December and his social media posts since that time have suggested that Casanova’s friendship circle is dwindling. Prosecutors have accused the Brooklyn rapper of being involved with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation and it’s alleged that the rapper was connected to drug-trafficking among other crimes. Casanova has repeatedly denied that allegations against him and both he and his wife Jasmere Corbett have come forward to call out the fairweather friends who have disappeared from sight.

Bobby Shmurda is all too familiar with the plight of legal issues and now that he’s been released from prison, he wanted to show love to a few artists who are now incarcerated. On his Instagram Story, Shmurda highlighted rappers like NBA YoungBoy and Casanova, and the mention didn’t go unnoticed by 2x.

“I APPRECIATE YOU @Shmurda [double exclamation mark emoji] I’M FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE IN A SYSTEM THAT’S FIXED… STAY SUCKA FREE IN A WORLD FULL OF LOLLIPOPS [fingers peace sign emoji][X emoji],” Casanova tweeted on Thursday (March 25). Last week, he gave The Breakfast Club a shout-out, as well. Casanova also recently stated that people who said that they were his friends but haven’t checked in on him can “suck a d*ck.” Check out his post below.

Peter Gunz Calls Out Derrick Jaxn For Condemning Him For Cheating On “LHHNY”

The scandal involving relationship coach Derrick Jaxn has been the talk of social media this week. Jaxn (pronounced “Jackson”) has been the topic of talk shows, media outlets, and a global audience after he and his wife shared that he’d carried on multiple affairs during their relationship. Much of the world had no idea who the “relationship guru” was before this controversy, but Peter Gunz and Rich Dollaz are all too familiar with Jaxn and his criticisms of Gunz’s cheating debacle on reality television.

For those of you who kept up with Love & Hip Hop New York, Peter Gunz solidified himself in reality television infamy years ago after telling Tara Wallace, the mother of his children and his longtime girlfriend, that he’d married his artist, singer Amina Buddafly. It all went down on VH1 and soon, there were seasons of Gunz going back and forth between the two women, and eventually they were both pregnant once again and welcoming more children into the blended family that includes six mothers and 10 kids.

Peter Gunz recalled the time Derrick Jaxn had a few not-so-nice things to say about him, and the rapper’s friend and co-star, Rich Dollaz, jumped in, as well. “I remember this n*gga @derrickjaxn had so much to say about me multiple videos talking sh*t… Ladies be careful whom you worship all that glitters ain’t gold… Don’t fall for the Jesus rebound either,” wrote Gunz.

Dollaz chimed in, “So hold up this the clown n*gga that was posting videos coming for u when the show was on ??” Peter confirmed it was Jaxn. An Instagram user told Gunz that “being a dog is a choice” and none of the controversies had to do with Jesus. He replied, “Tell him that he’s using Jesus I’m an atheist.”

Check out the exchange below and swipe to read what Amina Buddafly had to say about it all.

The Game Advocates For Marriage: “Find Yo Wife & Delete IG”

Whether they’re Instagram models, video vixens, social media influencers, or just “baddies,” women have been attracting the attention of artists since the inception of music itself. Rappers, particularly, like to have the most beautiful woman on the block on their arm, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, The Game believes that his fellow musicians should look for something more. The Los Angeles emcee has often had models and actresses by his side, in real life and in his music videos, but he told the public that they should be more concerned with locking down Mrs. Right instead of Ms. Right Now.

“There are so many beautiful women in the world, especially these days,” penned the father of three on Twitter. “Even when you get you a ‘bad b!tch’ soon as you got her, you see another 1 you THINK is badder.. then you gotta have that one and repeat this process until you’ve lost em all one by one. Find yo wife & delete IG.”

For the most part, the advice was met with open arms, but some noted that it isn’t just about deleting social media apps and stated that people have to embrace loyalty and discipline. Check out the post and a few responses below, and let us know if you agree with The Game.
