Quavo Says That Migos’ “Culture 3” Is “Going Into Mixing”

Quavo has provided the latest update on the Migos’ upcoming album, Culture 3, saying that the project is “Goin InTo Mixing” on Twitter, Sunday.

In March, Murda Beatz confirmed that he was working Culture 3 in the studio with the Migos. He helped produce the massive Culture II hit “MotorSport,” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

Culture II was released in 2018 and is the last Migos project to be released.

Earlier this week, the trio teased the album’s imminent release with a photo of the three roasting marshmallows on the beach. “Bout That Time To Bring The Heat,” Quavo wrote in the caption.

The project could likely feature some bars about Quavo’s ex, Saweetie. Earlier this week, the Migos rapper shared a preview for an upcoming song with lyrics dissing Saweetie. Quavo and Saweetie separated in a highly publicized breakup back in March, after Saweetie wrote on social media that Quavo was unfaithful

“Lil’ bitty b*tch, she slimy, she sneaky/I’m takin’ back that Bentley,” he raps, referencing a story that alleged he had Saweetie’s Bentley repo’d.

Saweetie’s newest single, “See Saw” released earlier this week, shows the rapper coming back at her ex. “How you fumble the baddest b*tch, are you a dumb n***a?” she says on the track,

Chris Cuomo Says Policing Will Only Change When “White People’s Kids Start Getting Killed”

CNN host Chris Cuomo advocated for police reform on his show, Cuomo Prime Time, Friday, saying that policing won’t change in this country until “white people’s kids start getting killed.”

“How many more?” Cuomo asked. “Die of the pandemic, dying from police shootings. George Floyd, Daunte Wright. I wonder if you’ll remember their names six months from now because they’ll be replaced by so many others.”

In the midst of the Derek Chauvin trial, Wright was killed at the hands of the police, while body-cam footage of the officer who shot 13-year-old Adam Toledo was released as well.

“Forget that police are trained to deal with non-compliance with force that is not lethal. Hey, comply or die,” Cuomo said sarcastically. “And you know what the answer is. You really do. You don’t like it, I don’t like it, it scares me. Shootings, gun laws, access to weapons. Oh, I know when they’ll change. Your kids start getting killed, white people’s kids start getting killed.”

He continued: “We pretend that we’re not just seeing same lying and lack of leading, and bleeding and death and pain. New news, name faces, new places—same problems. You know it, I know it. You know that I know.”

The prosecutor who claimed Adam Toledo was unarmed during a court hearing was placed on leave, this week.

Zion Williamson Praises Playing Basketball In New York: “I Can’t Lie To You.”

Young superstar Zion Williamson praised New York following the Pelicans’ 112-122 loss to the Knicks, Sunday, saying that it “might be my favorite place to play” besides New Orleans. Regardless, the comments have Knicks fans speculating about a possible move to New York in Williamson’s future.

“I’m glad you asked that,’’ Williamson said following the game. “New York is the mecca of basketball. I love playing here. I played here in college [at Duke]. This is my first time playing in the pros. This atmosphere, whether they’re cheering for you or booing you, it’s amazing. Outside of New Orleans, obviously, this might be my favorite place to play. I can’t lie to you.’’

Williamson went head to head with Knicks’ forward Julius Randle, scoring 34 points compared to Randle’s 33.

“He’s a tough matchup,’’ Randle said afterward. “We know he’s athletic. He’s long, nimble on his feet, quick so he gets to a lot of balls and offensive rebounds you wouldn’t think he’d get to. He gets to those balls. He’s a tough cover and finishes around the rim well, too.’’

Williamson is set to become a restricted free agent in 2023.

More Texans Back Matthew McConaughey For Gov. Than Greg Abbot: Polls Finds

A new poll released by The Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler found that more Texans support Matthew McConaughey for state governor over Gov. Greg Abbott (R). The poll found that 45 percent of Texans would support the legendary Actor, while just 33 percent would back the incumbent candidate.

McConaughey has yet to confirm that he intends to run for office, nor has he stated which political party he would align with if he were to venture into politics. The aforementioned poll also found that 66 percent of Democratic respondents would support McConaughey while 56 percent of Republicans would do the same.

While appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon back in March, McConaughey confirmed that he was considering a run for Governor.

“It’s something I’m giving consideration. Absolutely. What an honorable thing to even be able to consider,” the actor admitted before cutting himself short. “I’m no further than that right now, Sir.”

McConaughey hasn’t shied away from speaking about politics as of late.

“Look, politics seems to be a broken business to me right now” he said The Hugh Hewitt Show in November. “And when politics redefines its purpose, I could be a hell of a lot more interested.”

Taylor Swift’s Re-Recorded Album ‘Fearless’ Makes Her The First Woman With Three No. 1s In Under A Year

It’s been a busy year for Taylor Swift. Last summer, the singer released her eighth album, Folklore, which became one of the best-selling releases of 2020 and eventually took home a 2021 Grammy for Album Of The Year. Her run continued with the December release of Evermore, which also topped the charts. And earlier this month, Swift dropped her third album in less than 12 months with the re-recorded version of Fearless, her 2008 sophomore album, which, like, the other two, has topped the Billboard charts.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 291,000 units sold in the chart dated April 24. This number is comprised of 179,000 pure album sales and 109,00 streaming equivalent album units. It makes her the first woman with three No. 1 albums in less than a year. Prior to this, the fastest a female recording artist was able to net three chart-topping projects was 14 months, when Donna Summer did it with Live And More (November 11, 1978), Bad Girls (June 16, 1979), and On The Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II (January 5, 1980).

Elsewhere, the new No. 1 ties Swift with Madonna for the second-most No. 1 albums over her career: nine, leaving her just two behind Barbra Streisand, who holds the most among women with 11. Swift also earned the biggest week of 2021 in terms of units sold, as well as the biggest week for a country album since Luke Bryan’s 2015 album Kill The Lights.

Further down the chart, DMX’s The Best Of DMX jumped from No. 73 to No. 2, following the rapper’s tragic death. Ariana Grande’s Positions also re-entered the top-10, thanks to the release of its vinyl LP and cassette, which helped boost the album from No. 17 to No. 6.

Zack Synder Reveals Who He Wanted To Play Green Lantern In “Justice League”

Speaking at JusticeCon2021, director Zack Synder admitted that he wanted to cast Wayne T. Carr to play Green Lantern in his version of Justice LeagueSynder says he went as far as to film a scene with Carr as Green Lantern in his driveway.

“I said, ‘Look, there’s a chance that this doesn’t make it in the movie,” Snyder said. “I’m not 100% sure he thought it was real, legit. We had made him a CG suit and because it was COVID and we couldn’t really do a real suit… The mandate was to make it look as physical as possible.”

Synder explained to Vanity Fair, earlier this year, that his Green Lantern cameo was replaced by an appearance from Martian Manhunter at the end of the film. He said that the studio said they strongly were against him doing Green Lantern.

“We shot a version of this scene with Green Lantern, but the studio really fought me and said, ‘We really don’t want you to do Green Lantern,’” Snyder said. “So I made a deal with them, and they let me do this [instead].”

Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released on HBO Max on March 18 and is over four hours long.

“Wow marry me,” Lizzo quickly replied.
