Shaq Admits That He’s Just A Bit Jealous Of Rudy Gobert

Shaq was one of the best big men of his generation and as far as NBA players go, some people have Shaq in their Top 10. Needless to say, Shaq has seen and done it all, and he knows how to evaluate talent. Sometimes though, Shaq comes across as a bit of a hater and that is exactly what happened earlier in the season as he continuously took some shots at the likes of Rudy Gobert on the Utah Jazz.

Gobert had just signed a $200 million deal and it had Shaq lacing into Rudy for his lack of offensive production. However, during an episode of The Rex Chapman Show, Gobert admitted that he actually had no issues with Gobert. Instead, he’s actually a bit jealous of the player due to his massive salary.

“The reason why I bring up Rudy Gobert, people think I’m hating, it’s not,” Shaq said. “He’s a good big man, but I’m used to dealing with great big men. When I was coming up in high school, I already knew I couldn’t compete with the Patrick Ewings and the [David] Robinsons, they were great and they weren’t even making that much money. When I tell the story, people think, ‘Oh you’re just jealous!’ Yeah, I am jealous that he’s making $250 [million]. Yeah, I’ll say I’m jealous. However, for this game of ours, it can motivate a young kid today… All these guys that are watching, this is what motivates them.”

It’s surprising to hear Shaq be honest about this kind of jealousy although, in a way, you kind of have to admire it. Not to mention, Gobert and the Jazz are having an incredible season, which has forced Shaq to admit defeat.

Summer Walker Shares Anti-Vaxx Messages: “We’re All F*cked”

Summer Walker does not trust the COVID-19 vaccine, warning her fans to stay away from people who have been vaccinated. She posted multiple direct messages that she has received from fans who claim they have had strange side effects from being near people who got the jab, including bleeding, bruising, spontaneous periods, and miscarriages.

“We’re all f*cked,” she wrote on her alternate Instagram page. “Stay the f*ck away from people who were vaccinated,” she co-signed, sharing a message from another skeptical anti-vaxxer who claimed people are getting these symptoms from simply being in close proximity to someone who got the shot, which scientifically makes no sense. You cannot get any symptoms from being close to somebody who had the vaccine.

“Damn all these f*cked up dm’s,” continued the prolific R&B singer. “Lol but I’m ‘dumb.’ Ppl kill with that ‘stop spreading harmful misinformation.’ Just cause a white man on cnn didn’t say it doesn’t mean it’s misinformation.” No, but world-renowned scientists are saying the vaccine is far less potentially harmful than catching COVID-19… are you trusting Summer Walker or thousands of scientists leading in their field across the world?

Last year, Summer Walker said the government was trying to “scare” people with information about the virus. She also theorized that the virus was created as a means to control the population

DaBaby Secures Colossal Haul Of Gold & Platinum Plaques

There’s a reason why Funkmaster Flex deemed DaBaby to be the “hottest rapper in hip-hop,” period. Simply stated, the North Carolina artist puts numbers on the board. Case in point, a recent summary of the year’s top ten most-streamed rappers, DaBaby stood comfortably in sixth place, only a few-hundred-thousand under fifth-place Lil Durk.

With such gargantuan numbers to his name, it’s no surprise to see his success reflected in RIAA certifications. Over the weekend, DaBaby saw an ample increase in his collection of gold and platinum plaques, receiving many directly from South Coast Music Group’s CEO Arnold Taylor during his recent performance at the DaBaby and Friends concert in Orlando, Florida.

Polo G Debuts At #1 On Billboard Hot 100 With “RAPSTAR”

Chicago rapper Polo G has officially debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his latest single “RAPSTAR.” He was projected to land at the top spot at the end of last week and Billboard has released the final tally, confirming that Polo G has his first-ever #1 record.

This is a tremendous accomplishment for the 22-year-old artist, who did this without the help of a high-profile feature. Polo’s new song speaks about his newfound fame and wealth over a catchy ukelele-driven beat. It’s slated to appear on his upcoming album, presumably titled Hall Of Fame. The song beats out Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),” which remains at #2 on the chart. It also had a better week than Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open,” Justin Bieber’s “Peaches,” and the debuting “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat and SZA.

Polo is proud of his latest accomplishment, saying this on Instagram: “It’s Crazy I really Manifested this sh*t. I got a long list of goals imma b scratchin off just this year alone…Only 52 ppl ever debuted @ #1 on the billboard hot 100 & I’m part of that group U can’t tell me I ain’t chosen I done really beat the odds fr From A Place where n***as like me b the 1st to die who woulda thought I’ll go #1….thank y’all Mann. I can’t stress that enough Ik I work hard asf & y’all work just as hard supporting me We gone keep goin up fr REAL #rapstar Album comin sooooonnnnnnn #Halloffame.”

Congratulations are in order for Polo G, who officially has his biggest song ever. Listen to “RAPSTAR” below and let us know if you think it’ll stay at #1 for a while.

In the song’s lyrics, the Chicago rapper refers to himself as “Tupac rebirthed,” which has prompted a discussion of sorts about his place in the game. With this debut on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s clear that Polo’s confidence isn’t for nothing.

Deshaun Watson Says Accusers Gave Him Massages Following Alleged Incidents

Deshaun Watson is currently battling 22 sexual assault lawsuits and all of the allegations come from massage therapists who say Watson was very inappropriate with them during sessions. The women have said that Watson would make sexual advances and that he would make them fear for their safety. Watson has come out and denied the claims all while his lawyer Rusty Hardin has been adamant that this is all a ploy to defame Watson and get money out of him.

Watson’s legal team has been able to learn the identity of the alleged victims, and now, Hardin has some peculiar claims about some of the accusers. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Hardin revealed that some of the accusers allegedly booked Watson for more sessions despite their allegations.

“In the few days since Mr. Watson has learned the identity of his accusers, his legal team has already uncovered evidence that numerous allegations in this onslaught of cases are simply not true or accurate,” Hardin claims. “After the massage therapy sessions with Mr. Watson, 8 plaintiffs bragged about, praised, and were excited about massaging Mr. Watson.” Perhaps one of the starkest allegations here is that five of the women allegedly, “told others they wanted to get money out of Mr. Watson.”

Hardin also says three of the women lied about their trauma and that seven of the accusers even offered to massage him at a later date in the future. It’s important to note that just like the accusations against Watson, Hardin’s points are simply allegations, and it will take a full court case to sort this matter out.

This is a developing story so stay tuned for all of the latest details.

Derek Chauvin Trial: Prosecution Makes Closing Argument

The trial of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd has been underway over the past few weeks. It’s been filled with emotional testimonies from family and friends of Floyd, as well as individuals who witnessed the incident take place and medical officials who observed the victim after Chauvin pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly 10 minutes.

Steve Schleicher made his closing statements to the jury today where he explained that Chauvin’s excessive force was the cause of George Floyd’s death. He explained that Floyd made multiple cries for help were deliberately ignored, adding that the defendant “had to know” he killed the victim.

“The case is called the state of Minnesota vs. Derek Chauvin, not the state of Minnesota vs. the police,” Schleicher said in an explanation that “there’s nothing worse for good police than a bad police.”

Schleicher told the jurors that they need to believe what they saw on the video while addressing the defense’s argument that Floyd’s death was caused by an overdose. The prosecution cited the medical examiner’s ruling that it was a homicide.

“Make no mistake. [Chauvin’s] actions were not policing. These actions were an assault,” Schleicher added.

Scheicher also went through the methods that the jurors can find a guilty verdict for any of the three charges, adding that Chauvin’s actions do not need to be proven as an intention to convict him of second-degree murder.

On Thursday, Chauvin invoked his right to not testify.

Drake’s “What’s Next” Hits Platinum Eligibility

The wait for Drake’s upcoming album Certified Lover Boy continues, though many have speculated that the project will be arriving before the summer rolls around. And while Drizzy unfortunately hit the delay button at the top of the year, the Canadian legend didn’t leave fans entirely empty-handed. Instead, he came through with Scary Hours 2, a three-pack effort that featured “What’s Next,” the Lil Baby-assisted “Wants And Needs,” and the Rick Ross-assisted “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.”

While it’s only been a little over a month since Scary Hours 2 dropped, Drake has kept with tradition and remained one of the game’s biggest commercial juggernauts. Following gold status in a mere two weeks’ time, Drake’s lead single “What’s Next” has officially doubled up and reached platinum eligibility with over one million album-equivalent units sold.

Should history repeat itself, it’s possible that “What’s Next” will find itself included on Certified Lover Boy, as Scary Hours highlight “God’s Plan” went on to make the Scorpion finale cut. Either way, the eventual RIAA certification is sure to line Drizzy’s wall all the same, provided he hasn’t grown weary of hanging them up by now.

So what’s actually next for Drake following this new development? At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some actual news on Certified Lover Boy start to surface, though one has to wonder if Drake will launch an album rollout while unable to tour in his home province of Toronto. We’ll have to wait and see how he chooses to play this one out — in the meantime, expect the Scary Hours 2 numbers to continue rising.
