Money Man & Young Dolph Team Up On “Whole Lotta”

At the start ofo 2020, Money Man appeared poised to take over. Within the first quarter of the year, the Black Circle artist had released two well-received projects, State of Emergency and Epidemic. The latter of the two spawned his fan-favorite single “24” with Lil Baby, but since his March releases, Money Man sort of took a step back and resorted to releasing loose singles on his YouTube

Today, the Atlanta artist is back with his first DSP-ready single of 2021. Titled “Whole Lotta,” Money Man’s new song finds him rapping side by side with Paper Route Empire rapper Young Dolph.

Led by an infectious “Whole Lotta”-filled hook, Money Man’s new song is full of flexes and quotable bars from both him and his Memphis collaborator. Having uploaded “Whole Lotta” to streaming services, Money Man’s latest single may signal that the former Cash Money artist is at long last gearing up to drop a new project.

Stay tuned for more Money Man updates, and in the meantime, check out “Whole Lotta” with Young Dolph below.

Quotable Lyrics

Whole lot of hash, I be usin’ that butane
Whole lotta, whole lotta vibes, I’m the new wave
Whole lotta hundreds inside of my bookbag
Count up a hundred while rockin’ a durag

Curren$y & Alchemist’s “Covert Coup” Hits Streaming

Curren$y Spitta’s discography requires serious dedication to experience; not that it’s even remotely grueling to listen to the prolific emcee, but the scope of his catalog is simply overwhelming to behold. Yet among Spitta’s die-hard disciples, there has been a long-endured fondness for his 2010 release Covert Coup, produced in its entirety by The Alchemist.

As many hip-hop heads have come to recognize, anything that finds The Alchemist stepping up and handling business behind the boards will always be an enjoyable experience. In the case of Covert Coup, he blesses Curren$y with some of his rawest production, a refreshing contrast to Spitta’s typically luxurious aesthetic. As such, there’s unique energy throughout the tape that helps it stand out amidst a sea of solid work, and its long-awaited arrival on streaming services is a most welcome development.

Boasting features from Freddie Gibbs (with whom Spitta would one day lace the Fetti collab album)Smoke DZA, Fiend, and the late Prodigy, Covert Coup is a nostalgic listen that actually sounds right at home in today’s landscape. And with rumors swirling that Curren$y and Alc have been steadily cooking up a sequel, now is the perfect time to dive back into one of the mixtape era’s beloved deeper cuts. Check out this re-release now, and sound off in the comments with your favorite tracks.

42 Dugg Has Another One With “Maybach” Featuring Future

All week, hip-hop fans have been reacting to a new verse from Future, in which he seemingly disses Lori Harvey, his ex-girlfriend. “Magic City, I’m the owner/Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her,” raps the Atlanta rap superstar on a new collaborative single with 42 Dugg called “Maybach,” which appears on Dugg’s new album Free Dem Boyz

Given the toxicity shown in this lyric, fans were excited for Future to be so unapologetic in his music. Over the years, fans have grown to love Future as their “toxic king,” celebrating his most ruthless moments with memes all over social media. In addition to the Steve Harvey bar, Fewtch starts the verse off by asking his current girlfriend Dess Dior to make him some noodles… so you already know how this is gonna go. After teasing the record for a few days, 42 Dugg and Future have released the music video for “Maybach,” which is directed by Jerry Production.

Check out the video below and be sure to listen to 42 Dugg’s new project Free Dem Boyz here.

Quotable Lyrics:

Magic City, I’m the owner
Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her
One thing I never seen was a bitch that leave
Every time I crank the car, I don’t use a key
Push start, foreign whip
Two glizzies, extended clips

SpotemGottem’s “Most Wanted” Showcases His Versatility As A Solo Artist

Thanks to the #junebugchallenge, the entire world has its ears on SpotemGottem, and now the rising Florida artist aims to follow up the success of “Beat Box” and his 2020 project Final Destination with a new full-length release.

Led by previously heard singles such as “Federal” and all of the “Beat Box” remixes, SpotemGottem’s new project Most Wanted has officially arrived, and the twelve-track project only comes with one guest feature, courtesy of DaBaby

In addition to featuring the DaBaby remix of “Beat Box,” the first section of the project is filled with minimal, yet hard-hitting beats that are reminiscent of the Florida artist’s breakout hit. On Most Wanted‘s fourth track, “No Tik Tok,” SpotemGottem makes fun of artists who spend all of their time on TikTok, which is hilariously ironic considering that the beloved social media app is what helped propel his career over the past several months.

Elsewhere on the project, the Final Destination artist showcases his versatility, with songs like the melodic island-tinged “Dirty Diana” and the fierce two-minute track “Who’s Next.”

Stream SpotemGottem’s new project Most Wanted on your preferred streaming service below.

Tracklist

1. 5 AM
2. Choppa Love
3. Big Ass Chain
4. No Tik Tok
5. Dirty Diana
6. All In A Row
7. Freestyle

Mach Hommy Drops Off Griselda Debut “Pray For Haiti”

Mach Hommy’s Griselda debut Pray For Haiti has arrived, boasting an impressive sixteen tracks and guest appearances from Westside Gunn, Keisha Plum, and Tha God Fahim. On the production end, the project is brought to life by the beat-making talents of Camoflage Monk, Cee Gee, Conductor Williams, Denny LaFlare, DJ Green Lantern, and more.

In many ways, Pray For Haiti feels like a new direction for Westside Gunn’s Griselda records, though Mach Hommy’s latest certainly retains the grimy, raw, and lyrically focused quality associated with the label. On the latter front, Hommy is particularly adept, his clever mind for punchlines equally matched with his ability to spit unrelenting flows. “Oh word? your raps braggadocious?” he asks, on the Camoflauge Monk-laced “No Blood No Sweat.” “Put this .38 in your mouth, go ahead and spit your magnum opus.”

His chemistry with Gunn is also worthy of note, and the Griselda mogul brings exciting energy when paired with his new sparring partner. For the most part, however, Pray For Haiti is far and away Hommy’s showcase. In a year that has already seen no shortage of excellent underground releases — provided it’s fair to call an album that netted Hommy a sit down with JAY-Z underground — Pray For Haiti may very well find itself discussed among the best.

It’s also worth noting that 20 percent of the proceeds are going to the PRAY FOR HAITI TRUST FUND, which will improve schools in  Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Bars for a cause — does it get any better? Stream Pray For Haiti here and now.

Travis Scott & Kylie Jenner Back Together In An Open Relationship: Report

After being spotted together numerous times in the last few weeks, new reports coming from TMZ suggest that Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner are indeed back together. However, their relationship is not nearly as exclusive as it was a few years ago.

After taking their daughter to Disney last week, sources close to Travis and Kylie have reportedly confirmed that the couple has gotten back together. They’re officially dating again but, according to sources close to them, they’re in an open relationship this time around. That means that they’re allowed to date other people and Travis and Kylie are seemingly okay with that.

Ever since they broke up two years ago, Travis is said to have enjoyed living a bachelor lifestyle. His choice to get back with Kylie has to do with his undying love for the billionaire businesswoman, as well as their daughter together. According to TMZ, he’s been wanting to reunite to build a “strong family unit.”

There is no word on whether Kylie or Travis are dating anybody else at the same time. While their love is pretty unconventional, it seems to be working for them. They’ve successfully co-parented their baby girl Stormi throughout the last few years.

What do you think about this news? Do you believe in open relationships?

Drake Teases New Music From “Certified Lover Boy”

Is it almost time for the release of Certified Lover Boy? Drake’s upcoming studio album, which was originally supposed to drop back in January, has been on the back burner ever since the rapper revealed that he was recovering from knee surgery, needing an extra few months to get himself back in tip-top shape. He took over the charts when he released Scary Hours 2 and it’s inevitable that he’ll command the top spot when he comes through with CLB. After last night, it looks like we might be in for some more new music coming soon.

In the wee hours of the morning, Drake linked with his OVO Sound producers to share a glimpse of a new song he’s been working on called “Fair Trade.” Posting a video of himself quietly sitting back in the studio as 40 sharpened the mix, Drake looked on as his latest record “Fair Trade” played over the speakers, watching calming overhead footage of a glacier on a big screen. The ambiance is unmatched.

Reactions have arrived from Quavo, Guapdad 4000, Kaash Paige, and plenty of others artists who are busy commenting fire emojis on the post. As with almost any other Drake song, this one sounds like a banger.

Without any updates regarding the release date for Certified Lover Boy, it definitely feels like we might be nearing the finish line. Will our patience pay off soon? What do you think about this new song?
