I’ve learned to let people’s comments roll off my back.”

“You’re getting a lot of stories about me,” he added. “You’re getting a lot of stories about my past and where I want to be in my love life. But they’re also a bop. I feel like I finally found a great balance between being as real as possible within my music and making a hit song.”

Biz Markie Will Get A Street Named After Him In His Hometown Of Long Island

The hip-hop community lost an important figure earlier this summer in Biz Markie after the rapper passed away following complications with Type II diabetes. His death came a year after he was hospitalized for the same complications. Markie was a member of New York’s Juice Crew alongside figures like Big Daddy Kane, Marley Marl, Roxanne Shante, Kool G Rap. Two months to the date of Markie’s death, it was announced on Thursday that the late rapper would be honored with his own street in his hometown of Patchogue, Long Island.

“HONORARY STREET NAMING DEDICATION!” the late rapper’s wife Tara Davis wrote in an Instagram post. “In honor of the contributions Biz has achieved as an actor, beatboxer, DJ and philanthropist, his hometown of Patchogue Long Island will honor him with the renaming of South Street to Biz Markie Way!” David added that the event would take place on Saturday, September 25 at 2 pm EST behind the 6th District Court at 150 West Main Street.

In the post, Davis also added that all are welcome to attend. She also thanked Of Colors Collective@Artspace, Patchogue Villiage’s Mayor, Paul Pontieri, and The Greater Patchogue Foundation for helping to make the street name in honor of Markie a reality.

The announcement comes after a funeral service for Markie was held early last month. Shanté, DJ Cutmaster Cool V, Montell Jordan, Reverend Al Sharpton, Fat Joe, Ice-T, Erick Sermon, Parish Smith, Redman, Big Daddy Kane, Kid Capri, De La Soul’s Maseo, and more were among those in attendance.

Ts Madison Blasts Nikita Dragun Over Tyga, Asian Doll, & Beefing With Black Women

The internet has been buzzing today and it is all thanks to Nikita Dragun. The trans icon released a video to accompany her new track, and in the clip, Dragun shared screenshots and photos of people that many people believe she was outing, including Tyga. He came forward to say that his company was hired to work on one of her videos, and while that has been creating a stir, Asian Doll did not appreciate Dragun using her picture in the clip.

The rapper and Dragun got into a spat online and both sides seemed to infuriate the other’s supporters. People began to call out Dragun for emulating Black culture while demeaning Black women, and those same critics accused Dragun of copying the styles and trends of Black women. Dragun clapped back to say Black trans and gay people created the mainstream trends, not Black cisgender women, leading to a war of words.

Days after calling out Boosie Badazz, Ts Madison returned to lend her voice to the conversation, and she was not happy with Dragun. “I think that this is definitely an unneeded situation. I don’t know what Nikita was trying to do to sell her record. I don’t know. I personally don’t know Nikita,” said Madison. She added that she understood the belief that trans women should take their place in the forefront, but said this isn’t the way it should happen.

“We’re in a climate where everybody’s against everybody in our community, in our Black community,” said Madison. “This is no shade to Nikita, but sis, you not Black. In our Black community, we already have a huge divide amongst Black cis women and Black trans women, and girl, this was just added fuel to trying to make it seem like we are in some huge competition with each other, especially talking about who look better than who.”

Ts Madison mentioned Asian Doll misgendering Nikita and calling her “him,” but Madison seemingly understood the rapper’s anger. “Sh*t, when I’m fighting, I’ma go for the throat. It just what it is,” she said before blasting Nikita for mentioning Tyga. Madison suggested that women like Nikita pull stunts like this only to leave Black cis and trans women to pick up the pieces.

Blac Chyna’s Boyfriend Lil Twin Details How They Met: “That’s My Baby”

As her ex staves off Nikita Dragun gossip, Blac Chyna has been enjoying her romance with Taiyon Hector, also known as “Lil Twin.” The rapper and his rumored mogul fiancée have been making appearances on social media as they share heartwarming, loved-up posts of one another. This relationship has been blossoming for some time, but Chyna has been careful to keep information about her private life away from the masses.

Yet, Lil Twin recently caught up with AllHipHop and spoke with the outlet about his music career, and during the conversation, he was asked about how he met the reality star.

“Music, in the studio,” he said. “We met in the studio here in L.A., through a friend of a friend. One of my good peoples reached out and said, ‘Hey, I’m over here in the studio shooting some PR work.’ She was doing PR work for me at the time, doing PR work for Chyna. She said, ‘I’m showing Chyna your s***, she wants to rock out on some music.’ I said, ‘Alright, fasho.’ She said, ‘Pull up.’ I said, ‘Alright, just let me know when.’ They sent the addy, I pulled up. We did two records that night.”

He added that they spend quite a bit of time together and visit the studio daily. “Literally. Since the day we’ve met, we probably spend about ninety-five percent of our time together. To this day, that’s my baby.” The connection is real, and Lil Twin expressed how it feels to be in love. “It’s a great feeling. Hell yeah, it’s a great feeling. Love’s supposed to be easy. A lot of m*********** be like, ‘Man, one of the toughest things in life is love.’ F*** it ain’t! That’s toxic, that’s some b*******. That’s somebody’s in it for the wrong reasons type s***.”

“When y’all both in it for the right reasons, no motives, no hidden narratives, that’s s***’s supposed to be easy.” Check out a few images of the happy couple below.

Drakeo The Ruler Says The LAPD Are Holding His Car Keys And Jewelry Hostage After His Recent Arrest

In August, Drakeo The Ruler had a Uber ride cut short after he was pulled over by LAPD officers. While some would have thought that officers would have approached the Uber driver, the rapper himself was asked to step out of the vehicle where he was then arrested and hit with a charge of “excon with a gun,” as the rapper’s arrest record says.

The rapper documented the entire arrest in an Instagram Live stream the captured most of his conversation with officers. Drakeo was later released on bail, but according to him, he has yet to receive the belongings that were taken during the arrest.

“SO THE @LapdHarborDiv WONT RELEASE MY ROLLS ROYCE KEYS TO MY CAR WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WIT MY CASE AND MY JEWERLY ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GETTIN ILLEGALLY PULLED OVER IN A UBER,” Drakeo wrote in a tweet on Thursday. “RELEASE MY PROPERTY OR MY ATTORNEYS WILL BE GOING THREW THE PROPER PROCEDURES TO GET IT BACK.”

In a second tweet, Drakeo wrote, “Another thing THAT WAS SAID IS THAT THE DA ON THE CASE TOLD THEM DONT RELEASE NONE OF MY STUFF UNTIL SHE REVIEWED THE CASE AGAIN.” He continued, “NOT A DRUG CASE , robbery case nor burglary case where you don’t know know where the funds are ima millionaire rapper and this is clearly a tactic TO MESS WIT MY NOW IF I WENT DOWN THE NEXT ROUTE AND filed a lawsuits SENSE INTERNAL AFFAIRS ALREADY REACHED OUT TO ME ABOUT GETTING ARRESTED BY @LapdHarborDiv AND APPARENTLY THE OFFICER WHO PULLED THE UBER DRIVER OVER HAS A OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING WHERE SOMEONE DIDNT COMPLY.”

Nicki Minaj Blasts Don Lemon, Calls Him “Uncle Tomiana”: “Def Has A Little D*ck”

It has been a story that has trended for days, and it does not look like Nicki Minaj’s battle with pro-vaxxers is slowing down anytime soon. The Rap icon has been in the middle of a social media war after being accused of spreading misinformation about the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine. This has somehow snowballed into accusations that Nicki is being silenced for not being vaccinated and questioning the vaccine, and now Don Lemon seemingly addressed the controversy on CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time.

“The people who aided and abetted Trump are stupid because they believed his big lie,” said Lemon. “The people who are not getting vaccines, who are believing the lies on the internet instead of science, it’s time to start shaming them or leave them behind because they are keeping the majority of Americans behind,” Lemon said on CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time Wednesday night.

“The people talking about, ‘I don’t know what’s in the shot,'” he continued. “You know what they get shots in nowadays? In their rear ends, they’re getting shots to make it bigger. They’re getting shots in their face. They don’t know what’s in Botox… You don’t have to listen to a minority of people who are being harmful to the greater good and who are not acting on logic, reason, and science.”

Nicki took to her Instagram Story to target Lemon and some believe she was speaking about his sexuality in her opening line. “Now if I start discussing what you get in YOUR rear end, I’d be wrong right?” she stated. “If you’re ever discussing facts with a person who’s telling you how to buy, or get smthng & you go ‘ok cool, tell me more about it’ and they start insulting you, RUN.”

She once again rehashed her “Uncle Tomiana” insult and suggested that she is being demonized for “asking questions” about the vaccine. “I’m stuck in a fkng Will Ferrell movie,” Minaj added before making another joke about Lemon’s “rear end” remark. “He couldn’t wait to deliver that line. He rehearsed it all night. Def has a little d*ck. Mad cuz the shot couldn’t fix THAT. 3-4 inches max.”

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj’s fans have been protesting outside of the Center of Disease Control’s headquarters with picket signs. Check it out below.

Blac Chyna Spills Opinions On KimYe Divorce, Tristan Thompson Cheating On Khloe & More

Blac Chyna chatted with David Yontef of Behind the Velvet Rope about all things Kardashian: from Kim and Kanye’s divorce, her opinion on Tristan Thompson cheating on Khloe Kardashian, and taking business advice from her manager Kris Jenner.

The Rob & Chyna star was, of course, briefly and famously engaged to Rob Kardashian, with whom she shares a four-year-old daughter, Dream.

As far as the topic of Kim and Kanye are concerned, Chyna shared that she believes they should do what’s best for them, divorce or not.

“Long as they do what’s right, you know what I mean, for the kids, that’s all that matters. And just keep the babies first and just be respectful on both ends then they should, they should be fine… I feel like everybody deserves to be happy. And that’s just that,” she said.

Reflecting on her experience with relationships, Chyna gave the same advice to Khloe and Tristan’s on-again-off-again relationship after Tristan allegedly cheated on Khloe in multiple instances.

“I feel like stuff like that, it happens so often it’s just in regular life,” she said. “And some, some people mess up, some people don’t, it’s just whatever, whatever it is. If, at the end of the day, somebody makes a mistake, but at the very end of the day, if he makes you happy, then do that, sweetheart. You get what I’m saying? That would be my advice, but that’s it. And then it is what it is. You know what I mean? … I know a lot of girls that gotten cheated on is still with the dudes. So it’s like, I don’t know. Yea. Whatever, whatever makes her happy. Them happy. I don’t know… Have a blast.”

Chyna also shared potential plans for her future as a businesswoman. The reality TV star and model has an interest in being an artist manager and sharing the “blueprint,” from “moving from D.C. to go to school in Miami, to being in top relationships, through going through drama and in cases and still being able to keep everything together.” The star is confident in her decisions and says that she wouldn’t take business advice from Kris Jenner.

“I feel like just me personally, like I’m a businesswoman and I got mine, honestly, like off the floor, like from the ground up from the mud,” Chyna said. “I’m from D.C. and I’ve been through like my trials and my tribulations. And I feel like just me, I know what’s best for me.”

Having your own day in one city is an accomplishment enough, but Gunna is celebrating another. Back in 2019, Gunna was honored with “Gunna Day” in Chicago after the city recognized his talents and influence. That was celebratory enough, but earlier today September 16), Gunna shared images and videos of himself at a ceremony in Fulton, Georgia where he was being honored once again.

“And do hereby proclaim, Thursday, September 16, as Gunna Kitchens Day in the city of South Fulton, Georgia,” said Mayor Bill Edwards before the crowd began applauding.

Gunna was seen in the video accepting his letter of recognition and posed for photos. This was a big moment for the rapper, but it was clear that his outfit stole the show. Gunna shared pictures of his shorts-suit set and while his friends jumped in the comments to compliment his drip, fans questioned his style once again.

This comes days after Gunna took over timelines for his last fashion choice that involved shorts and kneehigh boots, but it seems to be working for him just fine. Swipe below to check out Gunna receiving his own day.

Nas And Pusha T Invest In Audius Streaming Service, Which Plans To Increase ‘Significant Revenue Streams’ For Artists

Artists from all corners of the music world have long voiced their frustration with the current format of the music streaming business. In short, artists want a higher share of the revenue made from streams and it’s something an up-and-coming streaming platform, Audius, is aiming to accomplish.

This goal seemingly convinced Nas and Pusha T to sign on as investors, as the company recently announced. The rappers join a list of artists that include Katy Perry, Jason Derulo, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, Steve Aoki, Chainsmokers, and Disclosure — according to a press release — as names who invested in the company.

“I believe [blockchains] might be the most important technology to ever hit the music industry,” Nas said in a statement. “Everyone who uploads to Audius can be an owner. You can’t say that about any other platform.” The company launched back in 2018 as a streaming service based on blockchain technology, which is also used to support NFTs and cryptocurrency. Audius also announced a $5 million round of strategic funding that would begin today.

Audius also boasts a sizable cast of investors that are music executives. They include Sony/ATV Music Publishing CEO Martin Bandier, Madonna and U2’s longtime manager Guy Oseary, and manager Mark Gillespie, whose clients include Frank Ocean and Calvin Harris. Speaking about Audius, Bandier said, “The blockchain is enabling entirely new revenue streams for artists and creators, like NFTs, social currency, and curation.” He added, “Audius is not only using the blockchain to add potentially significant revenue streams for artists, but it also allows them to cooperatively own the platform itself.”

The company’s highlight aspect is the fact that through blockchain technology, 90% of earnings from monetized streams would go to the artists and the remaining 10% would be given to the community that keeps Audius alive.
