Charlamagne Tha God Forgot That He & Chlöe Are Cousins

You never know who is related to whom in the entertainment industry. Saweetie and Gabrielle Union are cousins, as are Snoop Dogg and Ray J, but not many are aware that Charlamagne Tha God and Chlöe are cousins, as well—including Charlamagne. The singer recently visited The Breakfast Club where they rehashed a conversation about being related and it seems that Charlamagne totally forgot about it.

Charlamagne asked, “Your pops from South Carolina right?” Chlöe responded by saying yes, adding, “We’re related.”

Charlamagne seemed confused and said, “Who?” The singer answered, “Me and you… We talked about this last time.” It seemed that the previous conversation about them being distant cousins went right over Charlamange’s head because he had a difficult time recalling that revelation. He laughed as he apologized to Chlöe.

“It’s okay. It’s alright. It’s okay, cousin,” she joked. DJ Envy chimed in and added, “He can’t borrow no money though!” Chlöe quickly said, “Nope! But can I?” Once she reminded Charlamagne that they spoke about being related right outside of the studio, he acted as if he remembered but everyone called him out.

“I appreciate that cousin,” he said while everyone teased him, saying he can’t claim Chlöe as his cousin now. “Hey! That’s my cousin, now. Y’all be cool,” he joked. Chlöe wouldn’t let him off the hook without giving him a hard time. “I can’t believe you forgot. That hurt my feelings. I’m not gon’ lie.”

It was all in good fun and everyone got a laugh about the relatives reuniting. Check it out below.

YBN Nahmir Announces His “Break” After Lil Yachty Teases Him Over “Dislikes”

Rappers often engage in playful exchanges online where they outwardly crack jokes about one another. It makes for hilarious moments, usually, when one artist takes a slight verbal jab at another, but Lil Yachty’s reaction to YBN Nahmir’s tweet caused the latter to be on the receiving end of an onslaught of trolls.

Nahmir wanted to praise his own effort and retweeted a YouTube screenshot of his song “Soul Train” from his March release, Visionland. It was a casual tweet that wasn’t unlike thousands of others from artists such as himself, but Yachty couldn’t help but point out the glaring numbers from YouTube.

The screenshot showed that on the platform, “Soul Train” received over 4 million views and had 53K likes, but there were also 374K dislikes on the video, as well. A quick check online shows that that number has increased to 398K.

“Best song of 2021,” Nahmire wrote with his photo as some believed he was trolling himself. Yachty retweeted and added, “No cap bro, sh*t might have the most dislikes of the year lmao.” People began firing off memes and later Nahmir returned to say, “Imma take a cool little break from everything & everybody. [100 emoji].”

Nahmir’s Instagram has been cleared and he went on to retweet his original message about “Soul Train.” Check it out below.

Lil Nas X Reponds To “Worst Generation Of Music Ever” Critic Following Spotify Report

Not everyone was thrilled about Doja Cat’s recent good news. Drake has obviously dominated the music industry for years as he’s won awards, broken records, and set himself apart in a category all his own. The OVO Sound mogul has a dedicated fanbase that often goes to bat for him, so much so that some target other artists on social media.

We previously reported on the news that Doja Cat has surpassed Drake as the rapper with the most monthly listeners on Spotify, and his fans did not skip a beat in expressing their disapproval.

One person caught Lil Nas X’s attention after Pop Base tweeted that he and Doja both had the most monthly listeners on Spotify. “The worst era of music ever,” the person wrote. Nas X replied, “It’s crazy how every single generation says this when a new era of music approaches. like it’s millions of artists out, nobody forcing y’all to listen to anyone.”

Politician Frangell Basora told Lil Nas X to use the criticism as an opportunity to “level up.”

“You get what he means, though. That Drake and Nicki era was absolutely everything — and then the Jay and Eminem era before then. Use the criticism to level up,” he said. “Make the music that’s on the level of the people who’ve inspired you to make music in the first place. Don’t settle.” Check it out below.

Young Thug Sues Luxury Apartment After Employee Gives His Bag To Stranger: Report

Today is a celebratory day for Young Thug as his Punk album has remained on repeat upon its release. The record has caused the Atlanta icon to trend throughout the day, but there is a legal hurdle that Young Thug is facing now that he has filed a lawsuit against a woman he claims handed over his personal property to a stranger.

According to AllHipHop, Young Thug returned home to his luxury apartment and while exiting his vehicle, he accidentally left a bag behind. He claims an employee of the complex did not follow protocol and gave away his bag that housed stacks of cash, jewelry, and unreleased music.

“Upon arrival at The Trace, Plaintiff entered the parking garage with his resident parking pass and parked on the third (3rd) floor. Plaintiff unloaded his belongings and then went to his apartment,” the lawsuit reads. “Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, a leather Louis Vuitton bag was left beside his vehicle. A resident of The Trace reported the bag next to Plaintiff’s vehicle to Lillie Bouie, an employee with The Trace concierge service.”

“At approximately 6:30 p.m. on November 2020, Ms. Bouie retrieved the Louis Vuitton bag. Ms. Bouie knew the bag belonged to Plaintiff due to the brand of the bag and because it was immediately next to Plaintiff’s black Lamborghini.” The court documents state that she then placed the bag in a secured and locked location along with a note to the other employees “not to release the bag to anyone without contacting her first” in order to make sure that it went to the right person.

However, another employee named Latoya Guest reportedly did the opposite. She is accused of seeing the note and handing over the bag to “an unknown person.”

The contents of the bag included:

A. $40,000.00 in U.S. Currency;
B. A diamond encrusted watch worth approximately $57,000.00
C. A chain ith inset diamonds worth approximately $37,000.00; and,
D. A hard drive containing approximately 200 unreleased songs by PLaintiff/Young Thug worth at least an estimated $1,000,000.00

Thugger is reportedly suing for negligence and alleges that The Trace has failed to adequately train their employees on how to handle situations such as these. It is unclear if The Trace’s representatives or attorneys have responded to this lawsuit at this time.

Karl-Anthony Towns Reacts To Kyrie Irving Anti-Vaxx Stance: “That’s Your Choice”

For those keeping up with what has been going on in the sports world, Kyrie Irving has been dominating headlines. The Brooklyn Nets baller has become the topic of discussion as his choice to remain unvaccinated has been debated. Sports leagues are cracking down on players who remain unvaccinated as mandates around the country shift the way companies do business. It has been determined that Irving will sit out home games for the time being and he may not be able to play in certain states, depending on the regulations.

Irving recently took to Instagram Live to defend his position and to let people know that he does not have any plans to retire. In a recent interview with Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns, the basketball star revealed to NJ.com that he supports people’s rights to choose.

Towns not only lost his mother to COVID-19 complications but several other family members and loved ones, as well.

“I’m obviously a strong believer in the vaccine,” Towns said. “I’ve been through so much and it would be kind of contradictory to not be on the pro-vaccine side… But what I will say is that I believe in choice and I like to give people their choice and I have no problem with people having their choice.”

He believes Americans have the right to refuse the vaccine, however, he was against how people are going about making excuses.

“They make their own decisions on their own bodies and their own families. I have no ill will towards that. The only thing I would say is just don’t give me a bullsh*t excuse why [you choose not to get vaccinated],” said Towns. “You don’t want to do it, that’s your choice.”

Kevin Durant Is Already Seeing Some Atrocious Hot Takes

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the NBA and heading into this season, he has a lot to deal with. The Brooklyn Nets are trying to win a championship and with Kyrie Irving out of the lineup, KD is now going to have to carry the load alongside James Harden. It should make for a very interesting dynamic, especially as the Nets look to fix up their point guard situation which is in a very bad place right now.

Regardless, Durant has always been one of those players who likes to engage on social media, and he is well aware of the hot takes that are circulating prior to the season. In fact, KD took to Twitter tonight where he acknowledged that things are starting to get out of control.

“Season bouta start, I see shitty hoop takes everywhere,” Durant said. Bad takes on the cusp of an NBA season should never be a surprise. In the preseason, the media tends to overreact to poor-performing teams. Case in point, the Lakers are 0-6 right now, and some think this is indicative of how the season will go. Needless to say, these are the kinds of takes KD is talking about.

With the Kyrie situation going down, KD will probably have to deal with a lot of hot takes this season, and they won’t slow down anytime soon. Hopefully, he’s prepared, because it could ramp up very quickly.

Jeannie Mai Details Sexual Abuse That Made Her Question Motherhood

Over the years, Jeannie Mai has expressed that she wasn’t interested in having children. The Real host has often spoken about motherhood while on her talk show, but recently, she and husband Jeezy announced they are expecting their first child together. This came as a surprise for those that have been keeping up with Jeannie, and now, she has come forward with an emotional explanation about why she previously avoided growing her family.

In an episode of her Hello Hunnay YouTube series, Jeannie tearfully shared her story of abuse and not wanting to bring a child into a world where she could not protect them from the potential harms that come with life.

“If you took every penny I had and everything I loved and bet that I would be pregnant, I would absolutely bet against myself,” she said.

“As a child, when you are taken from things that feel good and whole and safe, it’s hard to see anything being trustworthy moving forward,” she said. “I realized that the reason why I didn’t want to have kids is because that feeling when I was a kid was so real and so damaging to the point that I’m forty-two today still dealing with trust issues.”

“It still scares me on whether or not I can keep a kid safe from someone else who might hurt them,” she said. “It scares me if my child will be in a situation and not be able to tell me or if I’m not going to be there to help them. something can happen.” She credits her relationship and love for Jeezy as being instrumental in changing her perspective.

“I just begin to fall into love with Jeezy that I had never experienced before, and this love opened up visions and dreams of things I wanted to do with him that I never pictured doing: building a future, building a family, building the type of childhood and the type of freedom and love that we didn’t always have as kids in someone new.”
