Megan Thee Stallion Celebrates “1 Year Of Fun” With Pardison Fontaine, Fans React

As cuffing season draws near, so many of our favourite celebrity couples have begun to remind us about the benefits of being boo’d up. Yesterday, Megan Thee Stallion and Pardison Fontaine celebrated their one year anniversary, complete with some heartwarming social media posts that even made a few fans tear up.

”1 year of fun with you,” the Houston hottie captioned her Instagram photo dump, which is made up of photos of she and her boo on a tropical vacation, a trampoline park, and dressed to the nines together for several big events.

Pardison also stepped up to the occasion, dropping a minute and a half long highlight reel of some of the sweetest moments from their relationship, layered over the romantic track, “All of Me” by John Legend.

“I love you because, you know, your presence is a gift in itself,” the clip starts. At the end, the “Backin’ It Up” rapper says that he and Thee Stallion have “forever to go” after rounding up their first year together.

The anniversary posts have been making their way around Twitter, earning plenty of mixed reactions. While some are so excited to see Megan being loved the way that she deserves to be, others feel let down by the queen of Hot Girl Summer herself, but as Meg once said – “I never said that hot girls can’t have a boyfriend.”

During a recent sit down with Taraji P. Henson, the “WAP” rapper got real about her relationship, telling her friend that for the first time she feels like she’s part of a real team, and that Pardi “makes her brain feel good.”

Young Thug Reveals Lil Baby Was Once Signed To YSL Records

A few days ago, Young Thug issued a warning to all of Lil Baby’s opps, sending a message and saying that if you’ve got an issue with the “Emotionally Scarred” rapper, you’ve also got problems with him. While it’s been well-documented that their relationship goes back a long time, with reports about Thugger actually paying Baby to kick off his rap career, it wasn’t previously known that the two Atlanta rappers were working out a deal for Baby to operate out of YSL Records.

For years, Lil Baby has pledged allegiance to YSL, but it was unclear if he actually had a deal with Thug’s label. According to Thugger’s response to Charlamagne Tha God’s question in the latest episode of The Breakfast Club, it turns out that Baby was signed to Thug at a time.

When asked why he chose not to sign Lil Baby to YSL Records, Thug answered that, at the time, he had a lot of legal issues happening that prevented him from leveling up at his label. “I was dealing with so much shit that I’m like, ‘I ain’t bringing him into that, he just got out of prison,'” said Thug about Baby. From that point on, Thug says that he introduced Baby to Pierre Thomas at Quality Control, knowing that the music executive would take care of the budding superstar.

“I was still kind of young back then, I wasn’t really going crazy with my label,” said Thug. “I had him, this n***a was literally signed to me. Had that boy.”

As you surely know, Young Thug has worked wonders with YSL Records in the last few years. Gunna has become a music superstar in his own right, and artists like Lil Keed, T-Shyne, Strick, Unfoonk, and more continue to show why they’re strong forces in the rap game.

Do you think Thug made the right decision to pass Lil Baby to Quality Control? Do you think his sound would be any different if he stuck with YSL?

Cardi B Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charges, Could Face 4 Years In Prison

Cardi B is one of those artists that everyone keeps an eye out for.

Since dropping “Bodak Yellow” in 2018, Cardi has remained at the forefront of the rap game, with both fire music and headline-grabbing life events. From her 29th birthday party, which had the internet buzzing, to her shutting down the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards and winning a handful of prestigious honors to her highly-publicized and sometimes-volatile relationship with Offset, Cardi B is always in the headlines.

While much of her publicity in the last three years has been positive, however, there has been one headline that has repeatedly reared its ugly head.

Back in 2018, Cardi was involved in a brawl and was accused of throwing a bottle at two bartenders at a Flushing strip club. Facing charges of reckless endangerment and assault, Cardi has been on a rollercoaster of legal proceedings and yesterday, the “Up” rapper plead not guilty to all charges.

Cardi, who had been offered the chance to plead guilty to third-degree assault in exchange for a conditional discharge, is reportedly set to appear in another hearing on Monday in Queens. Unless an agreement is reached beforehand, it seems likely that this case will move to trial and, if found guilty, Cardi could ultimately face up to four years in jail.

If convicted, Cardi’s music career would come to a halt and after she and Offset just recently welcomed their second child, four years behind bars would obviously be even more difficult. It will be interesting to see how this case moves forward and if some type of settlement will be reached, because trial can lead to pretty grim results and it’s doubtful the Bronx rapper has any interest in stopping the momentum she has built over the last couple of years.

Bun B Says Diddy Tried To Sign UGK To Bad Boy

Legendary rapper Bun B says that Diddy once tried to sign UGK to Bad Boy Records, but the duo declined his offer. Bun discussed meeting with Diddy in a recent interview with B High ATL.

“That was interesting times because Bad Boy wanted UGK at the same time,” Bun explained to the hosts. “Pimp was locked up at the time; I remember Puff had this big party in Houston and we went to the party. We went to Puff’s section — they had him behind all the rope and whatever — they let me and my wife over.”

Bun’s wife, Angela “Queenie” Walls, was a focal point of Diddy’s pitch because “the wife is the boss.”

Bun continued: “We sat down and Puff said, ‘With all due respect B, I need to talk to the wife because I know the wife is the boss.’ He told her he wanted to sign UGK. He says, ‘I’m gonna give your husband this much money. I’ma give his brother this much money. And when his brother comes home, they’re gonna be Bad Boy, we’re gonna do this.’ And my wife got in the car and was like, ‘So when are we going to New York?’”

Unfortunately for Walls, things were not that simple. Bun felt it’d be unfair to make such big decision for UGK without Pimp C being there to provide his input.

“I’m like, ‘We’re not,’” he said. “That was a very contentious point because she didn’t understand why we turned down that amount of money that they were offering. I said, ‘We didn’t come this far to sell this. We gotta ride this out. I can’t have [Pimp C] come home and he work for somebody else now. It’s just not gon’ work.’”

Drake Unfollows Kanye West After 5 Years

We may have reached another rough patch in the relationship between Drake and Kanye West Ye. Following both of their album releases, curious fans went through Ye and Drake’s social media pages to try and get a sense of where they were at in their friendship. For five years, despite their longstanding perceived feud, Drake has followed Ye on Instagram. On Monday though, it was revealed that that was no longer the case.

After Ye officially debuted his new (much-buzzed-about) haircut on Instagram, fans quickly looked to see his followers, scrolling through millions of usernames and searching to reinforce their narratives about who the living legend artist is friends with. While Drake has been mentioned in headlines this year about his supposed feud with Ye, it appears as though there may be some real problems brewing because, after five years of following him, Drizzy has finally hit the “unfollow” button on Ye.

It’s clear that Drake still wants to keep up with West slightly because he’s still following a page called @KanyeDoingThings, but he no longer can be linked to the official @kanyewest page, which recently became active again in 2021. On the other end, Ye is only following people with black screens as their avatars, and since Drake has his son Adonis as his picture, he’s not being followed by Ye.

Do you think Drake unfollowed Ye after seeing the haircut photo, or was it before and nobody noticed?

Tom Hardy’s “Venom” Voice Inspired By Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Redman & More

He’s celebrated as one of our most beloved actors in recent generations as Tom Hardy’s roles have become staples in cinematic history. Movie buffs continue to talk about his magnetic moments in films and television shows like Bronson, Peaky Blinders, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Mad Max, but Hardy’s portrayal as Venom has taken center stage as Let There Be Carnage has recently hit theaters.

The award-winning actor sat down with BBC Radio 1 to chat about his latest film in the supervillain franchise and was asked about how he came up with Venom’s voice. The interviewer stated that when he attempts to recreate it, he often finds that he sounds a lot like Hardy’s Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. “I do as well,” said Hardy.

“I think that’s an occupational hazard. There are only a few characters that we have and we will smear between them all. Alfie comes out,” Hardy said with a smirk about his Peaky Blinders character. However, he did reveal his go-to inspirations when coming up with Venom’s voice.

“So, I mix a little bit of Busta Rhymes, a little bit of Method [Man] and Redman, a little bit of James Brown, and ever so slightly an element of Richard Burton,” Hardy added. The last bit, a Welsh actor, may seem out of place, but it makes sense considering Burton was an icon known for his baritone vocals.

The interview is full of gems, including Hardy’s quips about scenes where he had to thrash around and scream. “Like I was in an A-Ha video,” he said. Watch it below.

Eboni K. Williams Says Reality TV Was “Built On The Backs Of Black Women”

There have been thousands of reality show moments that have captivated audiences and the wave is only intensifying. No one knew what to expect from reality television in those early days of its popularity, but VH1 and MTV were instrumental in helping put a certain type of docuseries on the map. Now, every network uses reality TV as a tool to rake in viewers and the concept has helped shaped careers for hundreds of entertainers.

Attorney Eboni K. Williams is known for sharing the State of the Culture stage on Revolt, but she also has joined the cast of Bravo’s megahit series, Real Housewives of New York. Williams visited The View where Whoopi Goldberg asked her why she would want to make the shift to reality TV, especially given its reputation.

“I think that reality TV owes everything to Black women. I think it’s built on the backs of Black women and I think that Black women actually have so much to gain from the medium, if used properly,” said Williams.

“I think that, for better or worse, there is nothing like the impact of reality television. I think we all thought that it would be a hit it and quit it thing, maybe fifteen years ago. We’re on thirteen seasons of [Real Housewives of New York]. Fifteen seasons, sixteen seasons of [Real Housewives of Orange County]. It’s not going anywhere, so if you can’t beat ’em, maybe it’s time to join ’em.”

Williams was asked to clarify her remarks about reality television and its relationship to Black women. “The most iconic moments on these reality TV shows [like] Real Housewives of Atlanta, from Nene Leakes, these icons,” Williams answered.

“And I do think it has been an opportunity to show a different kind of Black womanhood. I think Black women are some of the most misunderstood demographics in our nation, and to be able to represent the kinds of Black women that I know, the kinds of Black women that I’m in sorority with, the kinds of Black women I went to school with…it’s been an honor.”

Eminem’s Restaurant Under Fire After Bengals Player Jokes About Getting Sick

The eatery is the new hotspot in his hometown of Detroit but Eminem’s restaurant became the butt of an NFL star’s joke. People have been lined up to get a taste of Mom’s Spaghetti, a recently opened restaurant that gives nod to Eminem’s famous “Lose Yourself” lyrics. Upon its launch, Em even surprised fans by taking orders and handing out free meals, but Jackson Carman suggested the food made him sick.

The 21-year-old Cincinnati Bengals star sent out a tweet asking his almost-20K followers what foods Detroit is known for. Several of his fans shot off their suggestions, both real and for laughs, but after he later fell ill during a game against the Detroit Lions, people blamed Eminem.

Sports fans tweeted that Carman vomited on the field and later he tweeted, “Would not recommend eating Moms spaghetti when you visit Detroit [laughing emoji].” It did not take long for the public to bash Eminem’s new restaurant as rumors ran through social media that the food will make patrons sick.

After the Motor City icon and his menu took hits online, Jackson Carman returned to clarify that he wasn’t being serious.

“FYI: I did not actually try the Moms Spaghetti Restaurant while I was in Detroit, I was referencing the @Eminem song lyrics.” The damage had already been done, but you can check it out below.
