Lil Durk Affiliate Muwop Speaks Out After Being Arrested For FBG Duck’s Murder

Multiple arrests were made last week in connection to the murder of Chicago rapper FBG Duck. Among the people charged were several members of Lil Durk’s Only The Family group, including Muwop, C-Thang, C-Murda, and others. The news was confirmed by FBG Duck’s mother, and later by the feds, who said that they had watched music videos where OTF members bragged about Duck’s death.

As we wait to find out what will happen to Muwop, C-Thang, C-Murda, and the others, Muwop has officially spoken out from jail, telling a fan that he’s got high spirits and will be returning home soon.

“I’m great and thanks for reaching out,” said Muwop to a fan who messaged him on an app used to text with incarcerated individuals. “My head high as it could be love for reaching out ill be out soon.”

The message was posted to Twitter by the fan, and it’s spreading across all the usual hip-hop blogs and YouTube pages.

Muwop has a large following on social media with nearly 300,000 followers on Instagram. He’s generally very active and can always be found in the comments on Lil Durk’s page.

Young Thug Says Lil Durk Made Him Promise To Never Reveal Computer Meme Origin

Young Thug joined Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee on Monday for an in-depth interview on the Breakfast Club that dived into a slew of topics including the release of his new album Punk. The rapper opened up about releasing The Barter 6 and whether it was a shot at Lil Wayne, as well as his previous feud with Charlamagne Tha God. However, the interview dived into much deeper topics including the infamous meme featuring Young Thug and Lil Durk at a computer. While one might think Thugger was offering Durk tips on using Pro Tools, the Atlanta rapper insisted that wasn’t the case.

“You gotta ask Durk,” Thug told Charlamagne when asked about the origins of the meme. Angela Yee chimed in to ask whether they were looking on Pro Tools. “He told me not to ever tell nobody,” Thug added to an eruption of laughter. “We definitely wasn’t looking at Pro Tools.” Charlamagne appeared caught off guard that Thug promised to keep the background story of the iconic flick a secret.

“‘Cause other people ask me that, like, ‘Yo, what was you lookin’ at?'” Thug explained. “I asked [Durk] before like, ‘Aye.’ [Durk] was like, ‘Nah, don’t do it.’ I said, ‘Say less.'”

Lil Durk previously responded to the memes on Twitter where he explained that Thug was showing him $20M.

Jamie Foxx Explains Why He Doesn’t See Himself Getting Married: “I’m Not Cookie Cutter”

As he gears up for the release of his new book, Act Like You Got Some Sense, Jamie Foxx has been spending plenty of time catching up with the press. During a recent interview with DailyPop, the 53-year-old got real about some of his thoughts on marriage.

“You admitted that you don’t think marriage is for you,” the interviewer said to the Django Unchained star, to which he responded, “I’m not cookie cutter, so the 2.5 children, and the wood paneling, and the station wagon, I didn’t think that was for me.”

The “Blame It” singer then went on to share that when his girls were growing up, his oldest daughter, Corinne, expressed concern over the fact that her parents weren’t married, but all of her friend’s parents seemed to have exchanged vows.

“A lot of those marriages ended up not going well as the kids got older,” Foxx recalled. “Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractured from their families. Us? We actually came together more.”

“I don’t know what it is, I just know that it is different, but it’s a whole lot of love,” he told DailyPop.

The Just Mercy actor has been linked to several high-profile women over the years, including Stacey Dash, Katie Holmes, and Meagan Goode. It‘s unclear whether or not he has a girlfriend right now, but with how busy he’s been promoting his new book, who knows if he even has time for the dating world right now.

Just a few days ago, Foxx made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, during which he recalled enlisting Snoop Dogg to intimidate his daughter’s boyfriend. Check out the video below.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Involved In Jail Fight: Report

YoungBoy Never Broke Again just can’t stay out of trouble. According to a recent report regarding his detailed post-release plan from a court hearing on Monday, prosecutors have been using one incident that reportedly happened behind bars to justify keeping the rapper locked up for such a long time, arguing that he can’t stay out of fights.

In a report by The Advocate about YoungBoy’s court hearing this week, it was revealed that the rapper recently got into a fight, despite the jailhouse’s high security. YoungBoy’s legal team laid out a plan for him to move to Utah, build an in-house recording studio, and stay out of trouble over there. However, because of the fight, prosecutors have been shutting down his requests to get out on bond

Prosecutor Will Morris even called YoungBoy’s pattern of behavior “disturbing.” During the same court hearing, it was confirmed that the feds were using the name “Operation Never Free Again” to describe the sting takedown of YoungBoy, making a play on his rap moniker.

As we previously reported, YoungBoy’s team is trying to get the rapper out of jail, pitching a plan for him to permanently move to Utah and live with an adoptive family. One of his former tutors took him under her wing, and he spends a lot of time with her family, where his team notes that he always stays out of trouble. Maybe it’s for the best that he moves to Utah.

As more details are released regarding the fight that YoungBoy reportedly got into, we will keep you posted.

Nardo Wick Makes Billboard Hot 100 History With Top 20 Debut

While Billboard charts, whether it be the Hot 100 or Top 200, don’t necessarily mean as much as they used to, making Billboard history still carries a ton of weight in the music industry. And while artists like Drake and Doja Cat continue to dominate the very top of the Billboard charts, smaller artists fight it out for lower positions and fewer history-making opportunities.

That being said, every so often, an artist will find themselves catapulted towards the top of the charts without warning, and that’s what’s happening with Florida rapper, Nardo Wick.

Wick, who appeared on HNHH’s In My Bag series just a couple of months ago, recently exploded onto the scene with his hit “Who Want Smoke??” featuring Lil Durk, 21 Savage and G Herbo. With a graphic video featuring violence and corruption from the streets to federal office buildings, “Who Want Smoke??” has gained traction on the internet, as well as on the Billboard Hot 100.

Recently landing at #17, Wick made his Billboard debut, and history.

With “Who Want Smoke??” being Wick’s first song to make charts, the Jacksonville rapper became the first artist to make a Top 20 Hot 100 debut with their first entry since BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive” debuted at #6 back in February, 2018. Much like Drake was to thank for the success of “Look Alive”, Lil Durk, 21 and G Herbo are to thank for the newfound success of “Who Want Smoke??” but history is history.

Wick, who was arrested on conceal weapons charges back in August, has yet to comment on his history-making moment but did re-post his entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 on his Instagram story.

What do you think of Nardo Wick’s historic Billboard debut? Let us know in the comments.

50 Cent Accuses Remy Martin Of Trying To “Eliminate” His Cognac Brand

50 Cent has accused Remy Martin of being on a “mission to eliminate” his cognac company, Sire Spirits. The New York rapper is in the midst of battling a lawsuit from Remy Cointreau, which claims Sire Spirits stole its bottle design from XO Cognac

“No brand or company has the right to exclude others from making or selling curved bottles for cognac or other alcohol,” 50 Cent’s lawyer, Reena Jain, argued, according to AllHipHop. “Nonetheless, Remy Martin is on a mission to eliminate Sire Spirits from the cognac market.”

50 has said that the original inspiration his bottle shape comes from canteens used by soldiers during the Civil War. He deemed it the “Branson Bottle” when filing trademarks.

The rapper and his legal team claim that Remy Martin’s case has nothing to do with similarities between the bottles, but instead is being carried out with the goal of getting rid of their competition.

“Remy Martin’s efforts to monopolize the cognac market and draw spirits into a multi-front legal battle in order to force an exorbitant settlement should not be allowed to continue,” Jain said.

50 hopes that the judge will dismiss the case and order Remy Martin to cover his legal fees.
