Kawhi Leonard Offers A Microscopic Teaser Of His Own Song

Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the NBA right now, and while he might not get to play this year due to an ACL injury, there is no doubt that he is keeping himself occupied. Just yesterday, Kawhi released the Culture Jam EP which is a collection of seven songs that he put together with a plethora of big-name artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Rod Wave, Wale, NBA YoungBoy, and many others.

So far, the tape has seen quite a bit of success, and fans are eager for Kawhi to deliver another project in the future. In fact, some fans have been wondering whether or not Kawhi has been working on some music of his own. He has a pretty deep voice and it would certainly sound unique on a record.

Well, as it turns out, Kawhi has, indeed, been working on some music. In a video posted to social media, Kawhi could be heard rapping for about two seconds before the snippet of the song gets shut off. As you can see, if Culture Jam ends up becoming the number one project in the country, he will drop the song. Needless to say, Kawhi fans have every reason to run up the numbers on his new tape.

Culture Jam has some stiff competition right now and given the fact that there are only seven tracks, it is unlikely that it will reach number one. Regardless, we hope Kawhi has a change of heart in regards to his new song, as we’re sure the fans are desperate to hear it.

Dwight Howard Reacts To Sideline Confrontation With Anthony Davis

Last night, the Lakers lost yet another game as they fell to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 115-110. The Lakers’ chemistry has been a bit off so far and fans aren’t impressed. Guys like Russell Westbrook simply haven’t lived up to their billing, and at this point, some already want to hit the panic button as the team is now 0-2 to start the season. Of course, it’s too early to do such a thing, but Lakers fans are always a different animal.

What is a bit concerning though, was an altercation that took place during the first half of last night’s game, on the Lakers’ sideline. In the clips below, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard can be seen getting in each other’s faces, which is then followed by Davis grabbing Howard’s arm. Their teammates eventually had to step in and break them up.

After the game, Howard spoke to the media about what went down and whether or not he and Davis were good. As Howard explained, the whole thing got squashed fairly quickly and moving forward, they are on good terms.

“Oh, yeah. We squashed it right then and there. We just had a disagreement about something that was on the floor. We’re both very passionate about winning. We didn’t wanna lose this game,” Howard said. “We’re grown men. Things happen. But we already talked. Squashed it. There’s no issue between me and him. That’s my brother. That’s what I told him. … We’re good. We squashed it. There’s no need to try to make it bigger than something else.”

Going into the next game, the Lakers will need to figure some things out, and the last thing they need is a lack of chemistry between teammates. If you’re LeBron James, you have to be considering a team meeting at this point.

“Rust” Star Jensen Ackles Joked About Being Questioned Over Handling Firearms

The conversation regarding the shooting that left a director of photography dead and a director injured has left Alec Baldwin in the crosshairs of critics. We reported on the tragic shooting that occurred in New Mexico on the set of Rust that resulted in DP Halyna Hutchins’s death. There has been an outpouring of support to everyone involved, including director Joel Souza who was injured.

While it has been established that Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger, it has also been clearly noted that he was operating a prop gun. It was an accident as the award-winning actor was not aware that there were real bullets in the firearm, and Baldwin was reportedly beyond distraught following the incident. However, that hasn’t stopped his critics from jumping online to have him “canceled” for being a “murderer.”

As the reactions to the tragedy continue to take over news feeds, a brief clip of Rust actor Jensen Ackles has gone viral. Ackles is known for his long-running appearance on the megahit series Supernatural, and in the video, which was reportedly taken days before this shooting incident, the actor spoke about being questioned by the armorer, or the weapons master, when handling firearms on set.

Ackles delivered his story in front of a live audience of fans who laughed at the armorer’s inquiries.

“I’ve got a six a.m. call tomorrow to have a big shootout,” Ackles said in the video. “They had me pick my gun, they were like, ‘Alright, what gun would you like?’ and I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and the armorer was like, ‘Do you have gun experience?’” The audience began to laugh at how Ackles would answer the question because he spent years handling weapons on the set of Supernatural.

“I was like, ‘A little.’ And she’s like, ‘Okay, well, this is how you load it, this is how we check it and make sure it’s safe,'” he continued. The armorer apparently went on to ask more questions before letting Ackles know that she was “going to put in some blanks” so that he could “fire off a couple rounds.”

“I walk out and she’s like, ‘Just make sure you pull the hammer all the way back and aim at your target,’ I was like ‘All right, I got it,'” he teasingly said as he showed off how he handled the weapon without a problem. The video was quickly taken down but it was too late; the internet had already recorded the moment and caused the video to go viral.

Ackles has not come forward to address this fatal incident, nor has any of the production crew or the armorer. Watch Jensen Ackles below.

Tory Lanez Wants “Real Music” To Make A Comeback: “Less Repetitive & Redundant”

There has been much discussion bout the current state of the music industry, especially pertaining to Hip Hop. The cycle of records has been debated as artists seem to be cranking out new music at a higher rate in recent years due to the attention span of audiences lessening. We’ve watched as songs have gotten shorter, many lasting just over one minute, in an effort to increase streaming numbers.

Even our favorite artists have noticed and been affected by the shift. Rollout seasons last longer than the impact of the album itself, as some artists spend a year teasing a project, only for it to be released to fans who fail to keep the buzz surrounding the record going for longer than a few months.

Tory Lanez has been observing how this has impacted the industry, as well, and he tweeted about there being a lack of records that have stood the tests of time.

“It’s crazy ….. music hasn’t ACTUALLY BEEN STICKING lately,” he wrote. “Like all of our favorite artist music is not lasting with us longer than 4-5 months … real music must come back into play .. real emotion . Less repetitive and redundant.” He isn’t the only artist to think this way.

Recently, Eve sat down with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and talked about what she liked and disliked about Hip Hop these days.

“What I don’t [like] is there’s a lot of clones. I feel like back in the day, uniqueness was celebrated. I think now there’s a lot of the sameness and that to me, I’m just like, meh. It makes it boring a lot of the time—for me. Not everyone! ‘Cause there are some dope artists out that I actually really do love, but, yeah.”

Boosie Badazz Asks Atlanta Hawks For Refund After Being Banned From State Farm Arena

We aren’t sure just how long Boosie Badazz’s new Instagram page will be up, but he’s back with a vengeance. The Louisiana rapper has been at odds with Instagram for some time after he was initially booted for featuring risqué content on his Livestream. Boosie has repeatedly returned to the platform only to find himself kicked off once again, and although he has threatened litigation, Mark Zuckerberg and Co. are unmoved.

Earlier today (October 22), Boosie decided to fire off a message to the Atlanta Hawks after he realized he would not be able to see the Georgia team at their home venue, the State Farm Arena.

We’ve previously reported on Boosie being booted from the Legendz of the Streetz Tour following an altercation that took place on stage at the State Farm Arena. It was just weeks ago when footage showing Boosie being rushed backstage went viral, and later, it was announced that he was removed from the tour altogether.

The rapper turned himself over to authorities after a promoter reportedly pressed charges and Boosie would go on to say that he planned on suing. Now, he wants the Hawks to run him his check since he can’t see them play a home game anymore.

“Atlanta Hawks can u refund me my money for my 2 front row season tickets since Im banned from the arena until further notice [smiling wink emoji],” he wrote. “The season has started I need my chip [money bag emoji] Thanks [double exclamation points emoji] still a die hard fan #gohawks.”

In the caption, he promised that “the truth” about what happened during his alleged fight at the arena will “come out.” Check it out below.

Jack Harlow Explains Making Women Sign NDAs But Has “No Interest” In Groupies

Like many rappers, Jack Harlow is making sure that his sneaky links are kept private. In a world where connecting with rappers for clout is an everyday occurrence, many artists have long used non-disclosure agreements, or NDAs, to contractually obligate people who enter their circles to keep quiet. Jack Harlow’s star has been rising in recent years and with the visibility comes hoards of women who want to spend some alone time with the Kentucky rapper.

Harlow caught up with GQ and spoke about this newfound attention. He explained that he makes women sign NDAs, even if they’re just hanging out with one another without physical contact.

The publication asked if he was currently single. “I am. I love women and dating is good,” he said. “It’s funny, the bigger you get the more opportunities you have. But, ironically enough, you close up a little as the stakes are higher. So a girl I would have invited back to my hotel three years ago, I wouldn’t do it now. There’s also a stigma around it.”

He admitted that when he was younger, he thought it was “so cool” when rappers would talk about women only wanting to be with them because they were artists. “Now I have no interest in that.”

“I talked about [NDAs] on my album; it’s my NDA record. And then Billie [Eilish] released one about it more recently, so it’s being talked about more, for sure,” added Harlow. “The lyrics go: ‘First name, last name, date of birth / make a bad bitch sign the paperwork…’ But it’s a real thing.” All of the paperwork signings go down before the link, but some women have reservations and ask to speak with their attorneys.

“Sometimes it’s just to hang out. And that’s solely to establish the idea that, ‘Hey, my texts aren’t meant for your friends,'” he said. “Our time together is for us. And I present it, like, ‘Hey, listen, if you don’t want to sign this you don’t have to. This is a unique situation. And if you don’t want to do it that’s totally fine, but this is what needs to happen for us to be able to hang out. I just want us to hang out; I don’t want this to be a thing on the internet.’”

Taraji P. Henson Is “Missing A Piece” Of Her Lip Because Of Domestic Violence Incident

The entertainment industry has been shining its light on mental health issues with boldness within the last few years. We’ve seen rappers, like Wale, speak candidly about their struggles; Demi Lovato has been open about their sobriety and facing problems in therapy; and Taraji P Henson has launched her Facebook Watch series, Peace of Mind with Taraji.

The award-winning actress regularly sits down with her peers as well as professionals to discuss the ups and downs that come with life’s journey, and in her recent episode, Taraji detailed the domestic violence she endured that left her permanently scarred.

“Sometimes as women what we do is we fall in love and we go, ‘You know what? I’ll fix it later. For me, it was when blood was drawn,” Taraji told special guest Angela Simmons. “It started with the bruises and grabbing, things like that. And then once the fist came—I’m missing a piece of my lip to this day—that’s when I knew I had to go.”

Simmons also spoke about her experiences with domestic violence, stating that once the police became involved, she re-evaluated her relationship and knew it was time to leave. Watch a clip from the episode of Peace of Mind with Taraji below.

Swedish Rap Star Einar Murdered In Suspected Act Of Gang Violence: Report

The Hip Hop scene in Sweden is reportedly mourning the loss of one of its favorite stars. New has been shared today (October 22) that Einar, a hugely popular rapper in Sweden, was shot and killed in Stockholm. The 19-year-old’s death has sparked a political backlash as citizens have once again complained about the apparent increase in gun violence within the country.

According to The Guardian, Einar was murdered just outside of an apartment complex late last night. Authorities have reportedly stated that they are actively searching for at least two suspects believed to be involved in the crime.

Einar was reportedly set to testify in court next week as he was scheduled to take the stand against the Vårby gang. Investigators believe the shooting is gang-related and revealed that Einar suffered several gunshot wounds. This wasn’t the first attack on Einar; last year he was reportedly kidnapped, blackmailed, and beaten by the same gang who reportedly used other artists to bait Einar to certain locations.

In July this year a court sentenced Khalil to two and a half years in prison for aiding and abetting a kidnapping. Yasin, 23, full name Yasin Mahamoud, was given a 10-month term for conspiracy to kidnap. Both deny the charges and are appealing.

The sentences came as part of a broader case involving the Vårby gang, 27 of whose members were convicted of serious crimes including murder, attempted murder, robbery, extortion, abduction and drug and firearm offences.

Apparently, that has been a rise in gang violence in Sweden and people are calling for politicians to step in. We send our sincerest condolences to Einar’s loved ones. Listen to a snippet of Einar’s music below.

Bow Wow Confirmed By Court As The Father Of Baby Stone Moss: Report

Maury Povich’s services are no longer needed now that a court has determined the paternity of Stone Moss. It was back in September 2020 when Bow Wow first suggested that he was a father for the second time, and later, it was revealed that the mother of the child was a model named Olivia Sky.

The two kept their co-parenting private and soon, Bow was even sharing photos of his little boy. However, Olivia would complain on her Instagram Story about neglectful parents, leaving many to suspect that he was speaking about Bow.

Last month, Bow engaged in a Twitter Q&A session with fans where he seemingly suggested that young Stone was not his son. However, The Neighborhood Talk shared a screenshot of court documents that show that it has been proven that Bow is Stone’s father.

“It is the Judgment of this Court that the Child of the parties, STONE KAMIN (“Child”) born in 2020 is hereby declared to be the legitimate son of Respondent, Shad Moss, capable of inheriting from Respondent in the same manner as if born in lawful wedlock,” the document reportedly reads. “The Child shall hereafter be known as STONE MOSS and the Department of Vital Statistics shall show the Chld’s birth certificate to include Respondent as father.”

The paperwork goes on to detail Bow Wow and Olivia Sky’s custody arrangement. Swipe below to check it out.
