Dana White Reacts To Idea That Las Vegas Raiders Are Cursed

This season has been filled with mixed emotions for the Las Vegas Raiders. The team is playing some phenomenal football right now, however, a ton of off-the-field issues have clouded the team. It all started with the resignation of Jon Gruden which was then followed up by the arrest of Henry Ruggs III who killed a woman and her dog in a car accident. It’s been a lot to deal with, some are saying that Vegas is the reason for all of the issues going on right now.

Recently, TMZ caught up with Las Vegas resident Dana White and asked him if Sin City truly is the problem. While White did not that Las Vegas can be filled with temptation, there is no reason to believe these incidents wouldn’t have happened somewhere else.

“People are going to make mistakes and bad things happen every day, no matter what city you’re in,” White explained. “Listen, Vegas is a tough city and so is L.A. Go spend a weekend in L.A. It’s the same thing. It is what it is.”

Regardless, the events of the last week have been truly unfortunate, and our thoughts go out to the victim involved in the crash. Now, Ruggs is facing up to 46 years in prison as he has been hit with five charges.

Astroworld Festival Patrons Were Ridiculed For Telling Production About Deaths

Travis Scott was riding the high of the release of two successful singles, “ESCAPE PLAN,” and “MAFIA” ahead of his annual Astroworld Festival. Unfortunately, a crowd surge occurred on the first day of the event, causing patrons to fall on top of one another, many unable to move or breathe. At this time, at least eight deaths and over 300 injuries have been confirmed.

Several graphic videos and photos depicting the conditions that the injured and survivors of the incident were stuck inb, with attendees performing CPR on others and bodies spread out in the VIP section. A woman named Seanna Faith who had been caught up in the sea of bodies but managed to escape was brave enough to bring attention to the possible fatalities she had witnessed.

In a clip that’s since gone viral, she can be seen climbing up a ladder to get the attention of a cameraman, filming Travis on stage. “There’s somebody dead in there,” you can hear Faith screaming at the top of her lungs. The production crew member quickly began fighting with the attendee telling her to get down while still keeping the show going. Shortly after, a man joined Seanna in her quest to get the truth out there.

Another video shows crowd members yelling at Seanna and the other Astroworld attendee, even booing them for their efforts to stop the show and get people help. “Shut the f*ck up, you guys weren’t in there,” the man caught on camera told audience members who didn’t understand the severity of the situation elsewhere in the crowd.

Faith has shared a detailed account of her Astroworld experience over on Instagram. “Hundreds of people ripped their vocal cords apart screaming for help, but we were not heard. There was nowhere to go…The screaming intensified as more people realized they could not breathe. We begged security to help us, for the performer to see us and know something was wrong. None of that came. We continued to drown.”

“I watched my friend be dragged away from me, and lost sight of her. I began to realize in that moment that there is away to die that not many people know about. Being trampled to death. I saw terror in every eye that I met, even the ones that told me to breathe and stay calm…There was a floor of bodies, of men and women, below the layers of fallen people above them.”

In her post, Faith also revealed that another man was called up to the platform when she was seeking help from the camera man, and he allegedly grabbed her arm and said he’d push her off the 15th feet high surface if she didn’t get down. “I told him to help. I told him people were dying. I showed him where. He wouldn’t look in the direction either. I was in disbelief.”

Following the show, both Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have released statements regarding the loss of life, asserting that they weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show.

Kylie Jenner Says She Was “Unaware Of Any Fatalities” At Astroworld Fest

Tragedy struck Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday. At least eight deaths and numerous injuries occurred during the return of LaFlame’s annual festival in Houston. More information has been emerging since Saturday morning while Travis Scott has been accused of negligence as the crowd pleaded for help, which he’s denied.

Kylie Jenner has also been at the center of controversy regarding the incident on Friday. She shared a photo on her Instagram Story of the show as it was going down but many pointed out how an ambulance was evidently passing through the crowd in the picture.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder issued a statement on Instagram this morning where she responded to claims that she was aware of the emergency situation that was taking place in the crowd. She offered her thoughts and prayers, as most influencers do in dire times, before addressing the backlash.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured, or affected in anyway by yesterday’s events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community,” she wrote. “I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.”

Scott also issued a statement on Twitter yesterday before sharing a video response on his Instagram Story. The rapper stated that he was in the process of working with the families affected to “assist them through this tough time.” “We’ve been working closely with everyone to get to the bottom of this,” he said. “I’m honestly just devastated and I can’t imagine anything like this happening. I’m gonna do everything I can to keep you guys updated.”

We’ll continue to keep you posted on anymore updates on Astroworld Festival.

Canelo Alvarez Knocks Out Caleb Plant In Impressive Fashion

Canelo Alvarez is one of the greatest boxers of all time and while competing in the Super Middleweight division, Canelo has been able to string together some truly impressive and dominant wins. He appears to be on auto-pilot half of the time and no fighter has come close to beating him.

On Saturday, Alvarez went up against Caleb Plant to try and capture the fighter’s IBF Super Middleweight belt, all while trying to retain his own. Throughout the fight, Alvarez was dominant although it took him a long time before he could finish Plant off. In fact, Alvarez ended up taking home the win via knockout in the 11th round.

As you can see in the clip below, Plant was knocked down early in the round although he eventually got up. From there, Alvarez finished him off right then and there, with Plant laying against the ropes. Some fans felt as though the fight should have been stopped a lot earlier for Plant’s safety, however, Alvarez got his second chance at a knockout. Alvarez was able to claim yet another belt, and now, he will have quite the crop of opponents to choose from.

It remains to be seen who Alvarez will go up against next, however, if one thing is for sure, it’s that he is a legend who has become almost impossible to take down. It’s going t take a Herculean effort to stop him, moving forward.

Kyrie Irving Could Potentially Make Debut In February

Kyrie Irving is currently out of commission due to the fact that he is refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. He needs to be vaccinated in order to play in New York, and it doesn’t seem like that mandate is going to be changed anytime soon. In Kyrie’s absence, Kevin Durant has been playing inspired basketball, however, they won’t be able to keep this up without their bonafide number one point guard.

While Irving might not be able to play for the Nets this season, there is at least one NBA game he will be able to suit up for. That match just so happens to be the All-Star Game in Cleveland. In a report from Brian Lewis of The New York Post, it was revealed that Irving is eligible to be voted in, which could create a very interesting scenario.

Per Lewis:

“When the NBA updated its All-Star voting process, all players on the rosters were put on the ballot. Both league and team sources indicated that because Irving is still on the Nets’ official roster — sent home but not suspended — he won’t be an exception, despite not having played a second for the Nets this season.”

There is no guarantee that Irving will be voted into the All-Star Game, although this does pose an interesting dilemma for the league. Only time will tell whether or not Kyrie can actually get back on the court in Cleveland come February.

Anthony Davis Reportedly Threw Up Four Times Prior To Lakers Game

Last night was terrible for the Los Angeles Lakers as they took on the Portland Trail Blazers and lost in a blowout. Russell Westbrook had one of the worst games of his career all while Anthony Davis had to exit the game after just seven minutes of action. Prior to the game, AD had been cleared for a thumb injury, and there was optimism that he would be fully healthy throughout the match.

Unfortunately, things turned badly as Davis ended up leaving the game with what was reported at the time as a stomach ache. Fans were pretty confused by this, as they felt like a simple stomach problem wasn’t enough to leave the game for. As it turns out, however, it was a lot worse than suspected.

After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters that Davis had thrown up at least four times before the game and despite this, he tried to tough it out. Eventually, however, Davis just couldn’t take it and he had to leave. This left Westbrook all by himself as far as superstars go, and as you can tell by the boxscore, it didn’t go so well.

Now, the Lakers are on a bit of a losing skid, and they will need to pick things up if they want to keep themselves afloat in what has proven to be a very stacked Western Conference.

Kamaru Usman Defeats Colby Covington At UFC 268

The fight was a rematch of their December 2019 bout when Usman took home the victory with a fifth-round TKO.

Prior to Saturday’s bout, Usman admitted that he may be nearing retirement during a press conference after being asked about a potential fight with Khamzat Chimaev. The veteran fighter is 34 years old.

“As far as me [fighting him], you know I’m in a point in life to where I understand how much this takes from you,” Usman said. “I’ve been nine weeks now away from my daughter, and FaceTime does help, but it doesn’t do it justice, as far as being there each and every day. So obviously I don’t know how much longer I’m willing to do this. They have to make sense for me now. If he’s able to get there, then we’ll talk about it at that point.”

Snoop Dogg Says Rap Legends Deserve The Same Respect As Rock Legends

Snoop Dogg says that rock and roll legends are given far more respect than rap legends and wants that to change. The west coast rapper discussed longevity in the rap game during a new interview with Rolling Stone.

Snoop used the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an example, referring to The Rolling Stones.

“They don’t limit The Rolling Stones, they don’t limit those other groups that do it outside of our genre,” Snoop explained. “You got rappers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You ain’t got no muthafuckin’ rock and rollers in the Rap Hall of Fame. So slow it down a little bit, and start putting some respect on our name and give us the respect for who we are.”

He continued by explaining the difficulty rappers have staying relevant as they get older, despite having built one of the biggest genres in the world: “Don’t put no time limit on how old we are or what we are, because we don’t look at the rockers and say, ‘Man, he got white hair now when he used to have black hair, and it’s all grey now. We love their music, we love them, we respect them, we come support them, we sing their music — diehard fans.”

“We should get that same love in hip-hop because we created something that’s gonna last forever, it’s generational,” he added.

Snoop’s next album, The Algorithm, is due out on November 12.
