DeMar DeRozan was thinking about going to the Lakers in the offseason, although, in the end, he went to the Chicago Bulls where he now plays with the likes of Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball. The Bulls are finally good again and there is a real belief that this team is going to go far in the playoffs. Despite this, some fans have labeled DeRozan as “washed,” which couldn’t be further from the truth. At 32 years old, DeRozan is still very effective, and last night, he proved that with a 38-point performance against the Lakers.

After the game, DeRozan noted that LaVine wanted him to score 40, although he jokingly noted that he was too tired to do so. He did address the “washed” comments, however, explaining that he still has a lot to prove at this stage of his career, and he still wants to win the highest honor in the sport.

“I can go down the list of just being counted out, being looked over,” DeRozan said per ESPN. “So many chips that’s on my shoulder that I carry. And just wanting to be a winner and wanting to enjoy this ride. We can’t play this game forever, so I want to get as much as I can out of it. […] I never looked at age as being an issue. I never looked at it. People put the age limit on everything, and I never did. The way I worked, the way I take care of my body, the way I prepare, I knew what I was capable of doing. I just took different roads the last couple years of playing basketball, trying to do the right thing, figuring it out.”

If DeRozan continues to play like this, then the Bulls will have no problem cruising throughout the season. They have a ton of great pieces, and DeRozan has proven to be a leader through all of it.

While he might not be a superstar talent, there is no denying that Alex Caruso is a special player. He is a guy who plays his role exceptionally well, and he does it with the type of confidence that you simply wouldn’t expect from a guy who started out in the G-League without a guarantee of NBA stardom. With the Los Angeles Lakers, Caruso gained cult figure status as his dunks and his hustle plays always seemed to have LeBron James in awe.

In the offseason, Caruso went to the Chicago Bulls and last night, he made his grand return to the Staples Center. The Bulls ended up blowing out the Lakers, and before the game, the team paid tribute to Caruso with a nice highlight montage. From there, Caruso and LeBron shared a moment as they hugged it out prior to tip-off.

It was a special game for the Bulls who got 27 points out of Lonzo Ball and another 38 out of DeMar DeRozan. As for Caruso, he was declared the “GOAT” on Twitter by LeBron, who followed that up by saying “my brother forever.” Clearly, there is a lot of respect between these two, and James recognizes the impact Caruso has on the game.

Caruso certainly made the right choice in the offseason, as the Bulls are currently near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, while the Lakers have struggled with mediocre play.

An awkward stage moment became an incident for Rap fans and of course, rumors ran rampant about the City Girls. The dynamic, hitmaking duo are childhood best friends, however, at every turn, it seems that the public has tried pitting them against one another. If one appears on Instagram Live without the other, there is gossip that they are fighting. When Yung Miami released music without her groupmate, people theorized that City Girls was breaking up. 

No matter how many times these two have to tell the public that they are still great friends and City Girls isn’t going anywhere, they can’t seem to rid themselves of the gossip. A video of their Revolt Sumit performance went viral as it showed Yung Maimi walking off of the stage leaving JT behind and soon, those internet sleuths were back at it.

It all was much ado about nothing because according to the ladies, their performance was over so it was time to leave. It was obviously an awkward moment but nothing that was out of control, however, JT and Yung Miami were still targeted by the public. People claimed Yung Miami left early because she didn’t like the crowd, some said she was fighting with JT, and others attempted to say she was emotionally drained after recently speaking about her ex who passed away.

“I wasn’t confused that Caresha walked off I knew the show was over I was confused on how to end the show being that it was a very short show,” tweeted JT. “[And] we both walked to separate ends of the stage to say bye to everybody my side was just further from the exit. & before y’all ask why I’m just saying something it’s because usually she ignores situations & I didn’t want to bring attention to it.”

JT added that the public gets “very weird” when she speaks on gossip and she hoped this was another instance that just blew over. Meanwhile, Yung Miami was shutting down fans who tried to make the situation more than it was. Someone tweeted Miami and told her not to walk off of the stage if people paid to see her perform.

“Girl the show was over! Wtf you wanted me to stand there and smile? F*ck you!” she replied. Another person said it was “hard to sympathize with” Yung Miami because she acts “bipolar.” The Twitter user also suggested, “It just may be that time of the month.” Yung Miami clapped back.

A shooting near a Colorado high school has left an Aurora, community stunned. Back in 2012, Aurora became a focal point after James Holmes walked into a movie theater, let off tear gas, and opened fire on the crowd. Twelve people were murdered in that tragic incident, and now the city is once again in the headlines after six teenagers were rushed to the hospital after falling victim to a drive-by shooting.

According to reports, the six teens were students at Aurora Central High School. The campus was reportedly locked down immediately following the incident. The victims’ were listed as a 14-year-old male, a 15-year-old female, a 16-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, a 17-year-old male, and an 18-year-old male.

Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman reportedly came forward with a statement following the incident.

A shooting today in a park by Aurora Central High School has left six young people hospitalized. My prayers are with the injured and their families. As the facts surrounding this incident become known, I look forward to hearing from our Chief of Police and from our District Attorney about what actions will be taken to apprehend and prosecute, to the fullest extent of the law, those responsible for this incident. The most important function of government is the protection of its people and I strongly believe that public safety must always be the top priority for this city.

Witnesses told police there were anywhere between 50 to 70 shots heard before students ran for safety. There are said to be multiple suspects involved in this shooting and police have reached out to the public for help. Watch news clips below.

There was recent news that they planned on divorcing, but Stevie J and Faith Evans seem to be enjoying their time in the sun. It was three years ago when the Hip Hop couple surprised fans with the announcement that they had wed. It was later shared that Faith and Stevie tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Vegas, and while the nuptials were a surprise, the longtime friends-turned-lovers had already gone public with their romance.

Faith has spoken about her relationship with the producer and how she initially curved him because he was still entertaining other women. They eventually were able to get themselves on one accord, however, the romance had its bouts with controversy.

Stevie’s ex Joseline Hernandez never hesitated to voice her opinion about the couple’s marriage or Faith’s son. When Faith was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident, Joseline teased her ex about having a black eye. While Stevie nor Faith have spoken about that incident, last week it was shared that Stevie officially filed for divorce.

Once again, the couple has not mentioned anything about their split, but Faith uploaded videos of herself with Stevie enjoying the beach. The pair were recorded doing cartwheels on the shore and in the caption, Faith wrote, “Get us free, bruh! @hitmansteviej_1.” Some have interpreted this as the couple getting back together while others believe they are making light of their divorce.

They dated many moons ago and were once sweethearts, but life has sent Monica and C-Murder down several twisty roads. Monica would go on to have children and marry and divorce NBA star Shannon Brown, while C-Murder would get himself wrapped up in a scandal that landed him in prison. In recent years, Monica has been publicly vocal about revisiting the rapper’s case and has even helped call on Kim Kardashian and her team to aid in their efforts.

C-Murder, brother to Master P, has often taken to social media to shine a light on Monica as he boasts of his love for her. While the true depth of their relationship has not been shared by the R&B singer, C-Murder has once again sang her praises on Instagram.

The rapper shared a clip of Monica at a recent concert where she had the crowd yell “Free C-Murder.” Then, she began singing her classic hit “For You I Will,” and within the lyrics she said Murder’s name, letting everyone know that the song was for him.

One thing that is well-documented is proof that DaBaby knows how to throw a punch. The rapper has faced several lawsuits and allegations that he has been involved in assaults against fans, promoters, and strangers. However, that hasn’t deterred Brandon Bills, DaniLeigh’s brother, from calling out the North Carolina rapper following DaBaby’s internet meltdown with the singer.

The world witnessed the breakup between DaBaby and DaniLeigh, and as the public debates the scandal, DaniLeigh’s family has come forward to defend not only her but themselves.

DaBaby accused the family of disowning his daughter with DaniLeigh and stated that the singer’s other hadn’t even met the baby yet. DaniLeigh’s brother shared a few brief messages to DaBaby on his Instagram Story and later challenge the rapper to a fight.

“This crazy. This n*gga wanna call the cops on my sis. This n*gga wanna disrespect my sister online or the world to see, disrespect my family,” said Brandon. “I’m sayin’. This ain’t even got nothing to do with my sister no more, bro. This gotta do with me and you. You feel me? ‘Cause you Mr. Tough Guy over here beatin’ on b*tches, knocking lil’ guys out here and there, know what I’m sayin’? You not finna do that to me, first off.”

“So, this what we gon’ do, bro. I’m in a hospital right now. I got in a car accident. I got a f*cked up neck. I’ll still beat your ass with my neck like this. On god,” he continued. “When you come to the west coast bro, which I know you be out here, you gon’ catch this one-on-one fade… See what happens between me and you. It looks like a case of he said-he said now that T-Pain has given an update to his controversy with Usher. Over the summer, a clip from Netflix’s This is Pop circulated and in it, T-Pain is shown relaying a tale about a conversation he had with Usher while on a flight. According to the autotune icon, Usher told him that he “f*cked up music” back in 2013 and it was a comment that struck a nerve.

One month later in an interview, Usher acknowledged T-Pain’s remarks and said it was “intended to uplift,” however, “if people get pieces of it, they can always have some other interpretation.” Usher added that he had spoken with T-Pain and that they were “good.”

 In a recent interview with Angie Martinez, T-Pain claimed that he hasn’t had a conversation with the singer.

“So I hit Usher after the interview came out, and I was like, ‘Yo, I’m sure you saw what’s going on,’ and then all he texted me back was ‘Let’s not text, let’s talk.’ And I was like, ‘Cool, hit me up.’” Yet, T-Pain said that he never heard from Usher but later read the interview with the Confessions star saying they had already had a conversation.

There have been plenty of online debates regarding ingle parenthood, specifically motherhood, today following DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s fallout. While not everyone has hopped on social media to direct their messages to the two artists, it has been speculated by the public that some, like Brittany Renner, may be speaking about the ongoing tension between the former couple.

However, Renner has seen her own bit of drama after welcoming a child with NBA player PJ Washington. She has stood accused of “grooming”  or “trapping” him because of their age difference and it was only earlier this year when their son was born.

“Nobody plans to be a baby mama…um…most people just want a FAMILY,” she tweeted. “Save the ring lectures because getting married doesn’t guarantee a damn thing. You could do everything right and IT STILL NOT WORK. Like…are y’all ok? Life happens! ‘ThAt’Ll NeVeR bE me’ until it’s you. If you choose to have a child with someone, married or not, just accept whatever comes behind it. That’s my only advice. Having a forever tie with someone is no joke and raising a baby isn’t easy.”

Almost every high-profile celebrity has a lookalike who has been making money from their similarities, and Drake isn’t any different. In recent months, there has been increasing news about this Fake Drake who has been making the rounds in Miami and Los Angeles. There have been several spottings at nightclubs and events, and recently, someone captured the imposter performing Drake’s tracks at the club.

The Fake Drake, also known as Izzy, sat down with No Jumper to speak about his antics, admitting that he’s been booking events and may even need security. 

Izzy shared that he is a Toronto native like the real Drake and while visiting Miami, he was told that he should shave the Certified Lover Boy heart into his head. He did, and the rest is history. 

“People DM me, like, ‘Do you want to come to my event? We can’t pay Drake because he’s too expensive,” said Izzy, adding that promoters have paid anywhere from $5K for him to just show up to the event. They also cover his traveling and accommodations. “I’ve been doing my thing, you know. That’s all I’m gonna say.”

When asked if Drake is aware of Izzy and his antics, the imposter said yes. Apparently, Izzy recently took a trip to Vegas where he enjoyed luxury accommodations, but their host didn’t want to ruffle any feathers with Drake, so he called the rapper directly. The host was able to get into contact with Drizzy and according to him, Drake said that it didn’t bother or affect him, so “let the guy get his bag.”
