Adele Isn’t Concerned With Making Music For TikTok Trends

As artists storm TikTok hoping that they will become the next famous person to emerge from the app, Adele isn’t concerned with whether or not her songs go viral. The singer is readying the release of 30 in just a few hours and in recent weeks, we’ve been hearing much more from Adele. Now that she is divorced and in a new relationship with Rich Paul, LeBron James’s sports agent, it seems that the Pop icon is ready to share all facets of her journey with the world.

Particularly through the 2020 quarantine, we witnessed people reach new heights in their careers with the help of TikTok. Viral snippets of songs have helped artists obtain RIAA-certified plaques as well as amass substantial followings, but in her sit down with Zane Lowe, Adele seemed to keep her distance.

“The conversation of TikTok came up a lot, so I’m like, ‘TikTok who?’,” said the singer. “But they’re like, ‘We’ve got to make sure these 14-year-olds know who you are.’ I’m like, ‘But they’ve all got mums.’ They’ve definitely been growing up listening to my music. If everyone’s making music for the TikTok, who’s making the music for my generation? My peers?”

“I will do that job, gladly,” Adele continued. “I’d rather cater to people that have like, are on my level in terms of the amount of years we’ve spent on earth and the things we’ve been through. I don’t want 12-year-olds listening to this record. It’s a bit too deep. There are 30 and 40-year-olds that are all committing to themselves and doing therapy. That’s my vibe.”

Soulja Boy Won’t Perform At Millennium Tour Stop In Memphis This Weekend

Is the Millennium Tour shaking things up? Soulja Boy is known to troll and taunt, and today (November 18), he got himself entangled in a back and forth with fellow rapper Trouble. The Hip Hop world is on edge since the tragic murder of Young Dolph and several artists have been careful about engaging anyone who may disrespect the late rapper. Soulja and Dolph were known to have their back and forth moments, so after releasing his single “Stretch Some” following Dolph’s death, Trouble was disturbed by the lyrical content.

“I like da lil silly sh*t soulja Be doin time to time, its entertainment, I get it. Dont Be no puss azz n***a an drop no song kalled “stretch sump” da next dayy as if u got active in my dawg losin his life dou!,” he wrote. “Das ho sh*t luh Bruh @souljaboy an u kno wuzzam wit me.”

What ensued was a brief exchange, and following the tiff, some have pointed out that Soulja isn’t listed as a performer for the Sunday (November 21) Millennium Tour stop in Memphis. A screenshot shows all of the acts—including Omarion, Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky, Yin Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, and Ashanti—are all listed to take to the stage, but Soulja is noticeably missing.

He does, however, appear on the list for tomorrow’s show in St. Louis and next Friday’s post-Thanksgiving performance in Las Vegas. In response to this revelation, Soujla wrote, “I’m still getting paid [shrug emoji] what him dying got to do with me [face palm emoji] I’m tryna see my fans [purple smiling devil emoji].”

For instance, the base of the shoe is a shade of pearl white, while all of the overlays are the aforementioned vast grey. From there, we have some white on the midsole, which reinforces the color pallet of the entire sneaker.

In terms of the release date, nothing has been determined just yet, however, it is believed that these will come out next year alongside a plethora of other Nike Dunk Low offerings. One Person Shot At Young Dolph’s Memorial Where He Was Gunned Down: Report

The industry is reeling from the news of Young Dolph’s death. Yesterday, Hip Hop was shocked to learn that Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis while visiting a local cookie shop. It is reported that two men approached the rapper and opened fire before fleeing the scene. Photos of the suspects and their vehicle have been shared by the authorities and police are asking the public for their help in identifying the perpetrators.

The area outside of Makeda’s Cookies in Memphis has become a makeshift memorial for the late rapper and fans, including young kids seen weeping in a newsreel, have descended on the location. On Thursday (November 18), it was shared that there was another shooting in the area, next door to Makeda’s.

Reports state that there were dozens of people at Dolph’s memorial when someone began shooting. Following a “brief pursuit,” two people were taken into custody—one at the scene and another nearby. There was one victim who was said to have been shot in the thigh and is expected to survive.

Witness Tommy Wright, a rapper from Memphis, told reporters that while at the memorial, there was a drive-by in between two buildings. He claimed he heard “two or three shots.”

We were paying our respects. About thirty or forty people were placing flowers, signing the wall, and then a car drove by and started shooting,” he said. Some at the scene immediately rushed to the victim’s aid. “Everybody, man, just scattered and hit the ground. They’ve blocked off the whole scene, it’s become another crime scene all over again.”

Buccaneers Claim Antonio Brown’s Vaccination Card Is Real

Earlier today, a report came out claiming that Antonio Brown had faked his vaccination status. The report cited a former chef of Brown’s named Steven Ruiz, who claims that Brown had offered to pay the chef $500 to obtain a fake vaccine card. The chef was unable to get one, and as Ruiz explained, AB got one himself and eventually gave it to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This story was a big deal as it meant that AB could have been potentially skirting the NFL’s strict health and safety protocols that have been levied against the unvaccinated. Now, however, the Buccaneers are refuting the story as they put out a statement today claiming that they did a thorough check on all vaccine cards and that every single player on the team followed the rules. Needless to say, the Buccaneers put out the statement to proclaim AB’s innocence.

Per Buccaneers:

“We received completed vaccination cards from all Tampa Bay Buccaneers players and submitted the required information to the NFL through the established process in accordance with league policy. All vaccination cards were reviewed by Buccaneers personnel and no irregularities were observed.”

It remains to be seen what the NFL will do with this story, although an investigation is probably in the works. After all, the league is taking COVID-19 seriously, and they don’t want another Aaron Rodgers case on their hands.

Summer Walker Believes London On Da Track’s Ex Has “Obsession” With Her

Still Over It detailed Summer Walker’s perspective as it related to her breakup with London On Da Track. She spoke about infidelities and heartbreak, and now, one of the mothers of the producer’s children is back to antagonizing the singer online. Over the years, Summer and Eboni have had tit-for-tats on social media, but following the release of Still Over It, Eboni seemed to have put it all behind them.

She wrote on her Instagram Story that “Bitter” was her favorite track on the album, but for some reason, Eboni reignited the beef with Summer, causing the singer to respond.

Eboni complained online about Summer writing an album about her relationship with London while taunting the singer, stating that “she sat there and watched the way he treated his kids and their mothers.” Eboni added that she is “still waiting for the apology like a grown women you say you are.” Considering she is no longer with London and has moved on to a new relationship, Summer asked Eboni to leave her alone.

“Eboni, you’ve been doing this for almost 3 years now. Please move on. Your scaring me cause this is clearly obsession. You know I am a advocate for mental health so you might wanna get some help with that pinned up anger you have inside. Please stop mentioning me and my child. I’m very uncomfortable now. & I saw the death threat I Just ignored it.”

Summer asked for her followers to report Eboni’s Instagram page and Eboni returned to call the singer “delusional.” Read through it all below.

Drake’s OVO Teams Up With Jurassic Park & The Raptors For New Collab

Drake’s OVO brand has put together some pretty incredible collaborations over the years. Just a few weeks ago, they released some new threads with the help of BAPE, and moving forward, they are looking to branch out and do even more exceptional things. For instance, OVO is about to merge the film and sports landscapes together with a brand new collection of garments that encompass the Toronto Raptors and the movie Jurassic Park.

During the Raptors’ 2019 championship run, the Raptors’ fan area in the downtown part of Toronto was often referred to as Jurassic Park, so there is no denying the collab makes sense. Recently, the OVO IG account unleashed a teaser video for the collection which features Dalano Banton. As for the collection itself, it will feature a gorgeous leather jacket that features Raptors logos and a very obvious reference to Jurassic Park within the context of Toronto. From there, we have hoodies and shirts that depict a raptor claw holding the OVO owl. Overall, it is a very unique collab and one that will certainly leave an impression on fans.

If you are interested in copping any pieces, you will be able to do so as of tomorrow, Friday, November 19th through octobersveryown.com or shop.realsports.ca. Let us know what you think of this new collection, in the comments below.
