Roddy Ricch Announces “LiveLifeFast” Release Date

In an era where plenty of rappers dish out numerous projects a year, Roddy Ricch has always weighed quality over quantity. The release of Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial came after a year of anticipation and arrived at the tail end of 2019. Nearly two years after the release of his debut album, the rapper is finally gearing up to drop off sophomore projectLiveLifeFast.

Yesterday, the rapper shared the album cover throughout his social media pages without any formal announcement. Roddy switched out all of his profile pictures to the cover art, leading fans to believe that new music was officially on the way before the year ends.

It looks like the speculation was correct, after all. Roddy Ricch took to Instagram this morning where he formally announced that LiveLifeFast will be arriving on December 17th, nine days after the two-year anniversary of PEMFBAS. The rapper shared the release date with a clear glimpse of the cover art which features the rapper holding his double R chain in what appears to be a speeding Rolls Royce.

Roddy Ricch might be a little late, once again, to declare find himself on any year-end album lists but the release of his new album will bring some new bops to close out 2021 and kick-off 2022.

Drake, Doja Cat, & Juice WRLD Dominate Spotify Wrapped 2021’s “Most Streamed” Lists

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! After making it through the whirlwind that was 2021, Spotify has finally begun sharing a compilation of the music and musicians who made the past 11 months at least a bit more bearable.

While many of us are still waiting to see our individual results in the app, the streaming platform has unveiled which songs and albums were most popular amongst users. Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” takes the cake for the U.S.’s most streamed song, followed by her other pop hit, “good 4 u.” Doja Cat and SZA’s TikTok anthem “Kiss Me More” came in third, followed by “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals and Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” featuring DaBaby.

As far as most streamed artists go, Drake cemented himself as #1, which isn’t a major surprise. Behind him is Taylor Swift, the late Juice WRLD, Kanye West, and Bad Bunny, almost all of whom shared super hot new projects already this year.

This year, Spotify also highlighted the throwback albums (released more than 20 years ago) that hit home with users. Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, Nirvana’s Nevermind, Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory, Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction, and The Beatles’ self-titled record have all been in heavy rotation.

Bobby Shmurda Says He Hasn’t Had Control Of His Music For 8 Years

Bobby Shmurda began releasing music again in September with “No Time For Sleep (Freestyle).” This was his first release in nearly seven years, and his first drop since being released from his six-year prison stay in February.

Since “No Time For Sleep (Freestyle),” Bobby has given the world two more singles in “Cartier Lens” and “Splash,” as he looks forward to delivering his upcoming album in the near future. In October, he shared with fans that the project was in the mixing stage, but we have heard very little about it since.

On Wednesday (Dec. 1), he shared and quickly deleted an Instagram post that explained he had no control over when his music would come out, and his label is hindering him from releasing it: “I ain’t been in charge of my music since I was 19 years old and I just turned 27 and honestly idk when sh*t dropping so don’t ask me sh*t go ask them mf’s since they wanna control everything!!!!!!!”

Bobby’s frustration towards his label is concerning, and there are only a handful of culprits it could be. Bobby is currently signed to Epic Records and is under the management of Roc Nation. In August, fans were concerned Epic Records was the reason he had not released any music, but Bobby attributed it to being too busy: “I’m Bizzy running round needed some time to breathe they had me locked up In the pins doing 23!”

Now, it appears his label might be the problem this time around. Bobby has been making music with some of rap’s hottest acts like Polo G, Meek Mill, MigosLil Durk, Rowdy Rebel, Lil Ui Vert and DaBaby. Hopefully his label issues can be put aside and this music can see the light of day soon.

Check out Bobby’s post below.

Tupac’s Former Bodyguard’s Hard Drive Is Up For Auction

As Hip-Hop fans saw earlier this week with Kanye West’s auctioned off Ford Raptor, popular culture memorabilia is extremely valuable. Today, news has broken that another Hip-Hop artifact has hit the auction market, and it offers an invaluable glimpse of Tupac Shakur’s life and artistry.

According to TMZ, an 83 GB hard drive that was owned by Pac’s former bodyguard Frank Alexander contains a vast amount of rare Tupac memorabilia, including behind-the-scenes photographs of Pac and his friends, unseen footage of the iconic rapper, legal documents from lawsuits that Alexander and Shakur were both named in, and unreleased music. Frank Alexander was with Tupac on the night he died, and the former bodyguard passed away in 2013, six years after producing the Tupac Assassination: Conspiracy or Revenge documentary.

The insanely rare hard drive is being auctioned off by Gotta Have Rock And Roll, and you can read its full description of the item below:

This one-of-a-kind artifact comes straight from Tupac Shakur’s personal friend and body guard Frank Alexander. The 83GB computer archive contains unreleased music, videos, photographs, and items relating to 2Pac during the height of his career. This Archive contains songs from the Rap icon that have never been heard by the public, as well as materials compiled and curated by the people closest to him. Whether you want to enjoy highly personal and never before seen media of all kinds or if you want to get lost in the labyrinth of files surrounding a truly larger than life figure this is the perfect piece for you.

Some of the highlights on the hard drive include a 35 second clip from a never released song — which is incredibly rare in Tupac’s recording history. The photos and videos bring you right into Tupac’s life in the mid to late 90’s and are some of the most intimate media that exists of him. Each file in this archive has been hand picked by Alexander himself, and included in our photographs above is Alexander’s work experience and resume. Frank Alexander was of course with Tupac the night he died, and was a key witness in the shooting. There are few people who could better document the life of Rap’s biggest star.

Bids for the auction start at $10,000, but the auction website estimates that the rare 83 GB hard drive is worth anywhere between $600,000 and $1,200,000. According to TMZ, 10% of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.

You can place a bid on the Hip-Hop artifact or check out the sample photos of the content on Frank Alexander’s hard drive here.

Travis Scott’s Offer To Cover Burial Costs Rejected By More Families Of Astroworld Victims

The lawsuits are piling on against Travis Scott nearly a month after the deadly Astroworld Festival in Houston. Travis Scott has been rather lowkey, with the exception of his golf date with Michael Jordan and co., though he has made some efforts to try and make amends with the families of the victims. The rapper offered to cover funeral costs for all of the 10 victims who died at his festival, though it doesn’t seem like many families are interested.

On Monday, it was reported that the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim of the deadly surge, rejected Scott’s offer. Rolling Stone reports that even more families have informed Scott’s legal team that they wouldn’t be accepting any money. Four families said they would rather leave it up to the courts to decide what’s best in the case.

Phillip Corboy, who represents the families of Jacob Jurinek and Franco Patino, Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for Axel Acosta’s family, and Richard Mithoff, the lawyer for 14-year-old John Hilgert’s family, told the publication that Scott’s offer felt like a disingenuous attempt at repairing his public image. Corboy explained that it took Jurenik and Patino’s family less than 3 seconds to decline Scott’s offer.

“If he’s trying to impress upon the families that he’s sincere and has concern for them and realize that funerals can be expensive, what Scott’s team did is not the way to do it,” Corboy said. “You don’t get a piece of paper in the mail from a lawyer in Beverly Hills who says he represents Travis Scott. These families are raw right now; that lacks any personal touch.”

Buzbee echoed Corboy’s sentiment, calling out Scott’s press release statement announcing his offer to cover funeral expenses.

“Let the families grieve and shut up, that’s it. When something like this happens, there’s not a whole lot someone like Travis Scott could do to assuage their pain,” Buzbee says. “He says he feels sorry for them but he’s quick to say it wasn’t his fault. He’s no different than any defendant pointing fingers to someone else. They don’t want funeral expenses from him. Whatever we get from him we’re going to get through the court system.”

We’ll keep you posted on more information surrounding the Astroworld Festival tragedy.

YK Osiris In Awe Of Drake’s House

Drake and Florida R&B up-and-comer YK Osiris have established quite a bromance over the past two years. YK has always had a strong admiration for Drake, and now that they are friends, he gets to see his lavish lifestyle up close.

On Tuesday (Nov. 30), YK visited Drake’s Toronto mansion along with famed producer ATL Jacob as they got a full tour of the place.

After checking out his personal basketball court and piano room, YK stepped inside Drake’s trophy room and could not wrap his head around the amount of accolades he had achieved. As he recorded a video of awards like Grammys, iHeartRadio awards, MTV trophies and many more, YK Osiris made sure we knew why Drake deserved all these honors: “God, this is what you call f**king greatness, man. This is what you call f**king greatness. It’s crazy, man. This is what I look up to, I swear to God on my life. On my son, I do. Oh my God. Wow. It’s nasty, man. It’s nasty in here. Sh*t get real messy, man.”

Drake was recently just nominated for two more Grammy awards, as he is in contention for Rap Album of the Year and Best Rap Performance. After hitting the trophy room, Osiris had to use the restroom, and could not believe how advanced Drizzy’s toilet was. As he tried to get it to flush and close, he struggled to figure out how it worked: “Man what the f**k is this? This n***a Drake… Man this sh*t f**king crazy man.”

Osiris got caught lacking in the comments, as people pointed out that he urinated on the toilet seat.

During the rest of his visit, YK shared more extravagant pictures of what Drizzy’s crib looked like, and it’s almost unfathomable how nice it is. Check out some of the photos below.

Thousands Sign Petition Urging Will & Jada Smith To Stop Doing Interviews

Every time a new headline regarding Will Smith begins making rounds, it becomes glaring obvious how more and more people are tiring of hearing about the Gemini Man actor’s life – particularly his marriage with Jada Pinkett Smith.

Throughout the years, we’ve learned about affairs and “entanglements,” polyamory, vomiting during orgasm, and most recently, Smith shared a story about the time he pulled a “prank” on his wife, having his grandmother watch a movie with one of her sex scenes as the two met for the first time.

People are so tired of the 53-year-old, in fact, that a petition has been launched on Change.org urging the media to “stop interviewing Will and Jada Smith.” As of this morning, over 2,700 have signed, taking them over halfway to their goal of 5,000. Some of the most-liked comments on the webpage read, “everything I learn about this couple is against my will. Free us,” and “not everything has to be public knowledge.”

Another signee noted that Will’s “throwing up thing was the last straw” for them, and that appears to be the case for many others. If you missed it, the Philadelphia-born star recently released a memoir called Will, in which he shared that, after a particularly painful heartbreak, he coped by sleeping with hoards of women.

“I desperately need relief but as there is no pill for heartbreak, I resorted to the homeopathic remedies of shopping and rampant sexual intercourse,” the book explained. “I had sex with so many women, and it was so constitutionally disagreeable to the core of my being, that I developed a psychosomatic reaction to having an orgasm.”

“It would literally make me gag and sometimes even vomit… In every case, though, I hoped to God this beautiful stranger would be ‘the one’ who would love me, who would make this pain go away, but invariably, there I was, retching and wretched. And the look in the eyes of the women even further deepened my agony.”

You can find the Change.org petition here. Let us know below if you plan to sign.
