Adidas Yeezy 450 “Resin” Officially Unveiled: Photos

Kanye West has created his fair share of bizarre shoes over the years, and the Adidas Yeezy 450 is one of them. With its sock upper and shark tooth midsole, this is one of those shoes that has sneakerheads perplexed. Regardless, the sneaker still sells out, which is something we have come to expect over the years from Kanye’s shoes. The Yeezy 450 has only seen but a couple of colorways thus far, and with 2022 on the horizon, Yeezy is trying to unveil more.

For instance, today, we got the official images for the “Resin” offering which can be found below. This shoe has a beige aesthetic that is uniform all the way throughout. Depending on the lighting, one could say that it is a very light yellow, although in the official images, it is quite clear that the grey and beige are what stand out the most. It’s another neutral model to come out of the Yeezy camp, and if you’re a fan of the silhouette, these could prove to be a worthy cop.

No release date has been announced just yet, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates. In the meantime, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Trae Young Clowns Hawks Reporter Who Called Fan “Broke” On Twitter

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young fired back at Hawks’ beat reporter Chris Kirschner on Twitter recently, after the reporter made an ill-advised comment to someone responding to him on social media. Kirschner got into a replies battle with the Twitter user who claimed he wouldn’t purchase Kirschner’s Hawks article for The Athletic, or pay the subscription necessary in order to read it.

The Hawks’ beat reporter told the person during the exchange, “Cool. Say you’re broke and continue about your day.” Atlanta’s star Trae Young took exception to the reporter’s comments.

Young responded tweeting, “Smh, who says this?!? I ain’t buying that article.. what that make me?! #NextQuestion,” with emojis to illustrate his lack of amusement.

Complex.com points out that this was not the first uncomfortable exchange between Hawks reporter, Kirschner and their star point guard, Young. The two had previously got into a back and forth, after Kirschner questioned Trae Young’s early shot clock 3-point attempts in the fourth quarter of close games.

In Kirschner’s tweet of the exchange, Young not only explained himself, but also told Kirschner that he wishes the reporter had more accurate statistical information when questioning his game.

Whether or not Young recognized Kirschner’s name when responding to his comments on Twitter, is not known at this point.

Eminem’s “NBA Remix” Collaboration With Detroit Pistons Sells Out In Minutes

If you’re missing something this holiday season for one of your loved ones that’s obsessed with hip-hop and basketball, the perfect gift has just come along. Bleacher Report has collaborated with Mitchell & Ness for another year to bring back the NBA Remix collection — a collection of dope designs inspired by some of the country’s best rappers and their hometown basketball teams.

This year, jerseys were designed with Big Sean (Detroit Pistons), DJ Khaled (Miami Heat), Denzel Curry (Miami Heat), Kid Cudi (Cleveland Cavaliers), Young Money (New Orleans Jazz), OutKast (Atlanta Hawks), A$AP Ferg (New York Knicks), Joey Bada$$ (Brooklyn Nets), Aminé (Portland Trail Blazers), Future (Atlanta Hawks), Dreamville (Charlotte Hornets), and more in mind. For the Chicago Bulls, a special collection dedicated to Juice WRLD instantly sold out, and for the Detroit Pistons, a limited-edition capsule inspired by Eminem also sold out in minutes.

Eminem’s merch with the Detroit Pistons was among the most anticipated from this collection, and it included a jersey, t-shirt, hoodie, and baseball cap. It was stylized with a backward “E,” and Em’s famous hockey mask.

Juice WRLD’s sold-out collection features his “999” numbers throughout.

There are still some pieces left for the other rappers involved, but you’ll want to be quick. Some of these pieces are really special and make for incredible collectibles for fans of the teams and artists. These will go fast.

Check out the collection here.

Khalid’s ‘Scenic Drive’ Seeks To Overcome Artistic Pressures By Just Letting Things Be

When Khalid announced his new project Scenic Drive, and distinctly noted that it was a “tape” he was excited to deliver to fans, one thing came to mind. A little over three months ago, the Texas native offloaded a series of tweets that amounted to an honest admission of writer’s block and struggles with the “overwhelming” balance to meet expectations, remain authentic, and grow into something new and different as an artist. It’s truthfully something most, if not all artists, are forced to grapple with around their second and third albums. Sophomore slumps are already pressure-inducing enough, but even when they’re overcome, the pressure to do it a third time is just as high, if not even higher.

Khalid is a star in his own right. Both of his albums, 2017’s American Teen and 2019’s Free Spirit, are multi-platinum bodies of work with the latter serving as his first No. 1 album. Plenty of awards feature Khalid’s name and his work, and it all contributes to the pressures he feels going into his third album, which he already revealed is titled Everything Is Changing. As a musician, there are practically three options when a mental roadblock is hit while crafting art: trudge through it, wait for it to go away, or divert onto a new and hopefully uninterrupted path. Khalid’s Scenic Drive is the result of his decision to do the last option.

On Scenic Drive, Khalid seeks to overcome his self-doubts by just letting things be. The intention behind this project is to seemingly just do it, to just release music, get back into the swing of things, and even self-supply a boost in confidence. The music on Scenic Drive is simple and appetizing at most as Khalid plays things safely while remaining in a comfortable pocket. It’s the kind of easygoing bass-heavy R&B music that’s romantic, lovelorn, and everything in the middle. It falls on the complete opposite end of the spectrum from what he said Everything Is Changing will present. He previously noted that the songs on the album center “around trying to find a purpose and a sense of self in a world where everything is digitally connected but emotionally disconnected.” All in all, a sharp contrast from what we hear on Scenic Drive.

For what it’s worth, Khalid’s latest project is simply an observant journey through one’s love life, whether it be his own or someone else. It touches on all areas, including the shy moments in the early stages where the respective parties are scared to admit their feelings as “Brand New” and “Open” detail. On the flip side, Khalid keeps things honest and straight to the point about a woman who fails to hold her end of the bargain in a relationship on “Retrograde” and “All Is Bad.” There’s also the hesitance to acknowledge that love is fading away on “Voicemail.” However, if there are tracks that are no doubt made from Khalid’s first-person point of view, it’s “Backseat” and “Scenic Drive.” These see the singer relishing in the natural beauty and existence of what surrounds him while appreciating the fact that he’s able to enjoy it all together.

Scenic Drive unwinds a tense mind through effortless music. It’s something that’s apparent from the moment that Alicia Keys’ free-floating harmonies fall from our speakers. Only Khalid himself knows what he sought through creating this project. Maybe it’s a creative dump in the name of clarity or a moment to refine his skills and return to form. Whatever it is, a sigh of relief as Scenic Drive concludes can be felt as Khalid lets go and allows things to be in their most natural sense. Aligning himself with talented artists like Lucky Daye, 6lack, Kiana Lede, JID, Majid Jordan, and more only add to the appeal of the whole project which is filled with good and enjoyable music. Hopefully, this makes things easier and less weighted for Khalid as he returns to working on Everything Is Changing.

Scenic Drive is out now via Right Hand Music/RCA. Get it here.

Majid Jordan is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Air Jordan 11 Adapt To Drop In “University Blue:” Photos

Throughout the last few years, Nike and Jordan Brand have been looking to perfect Adapt technology. This type of sneaker allows for your laces to be done up using an app. The auto-lacing features are quite impressive and these days, it can all be done from an app on your phone. This is particular good for basketball players as the technology is meant to adjust the fit of your shoe depending on what you’re doing in a game.

Over the years, numerous shoes have gotten an Adapt remix, and it just so happens that the Air Jordan 11 has as well. A few months ago, we got a white, black, and red initial colorway, but now, we are getting a second offering that is bringing out the “University Blue” vibes. As you can see down below, the shoe has a mostly grey upper, all while blue is placed on the grid near the tongue, as well as the icy outsole. The Jordan 11 aesthetics are present all over the shoe, and these will certainly excited fans who like a lot of tech in their sneakers.

As for a release date, nothing has been announced yet so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates. In the meantime, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Lil Baby & The Weeknd Top Vevo’s 2021 Most Watched Artists Lists

While music videos don’t demand the same attention they did just ten years ago, they remain an integral part of the music industry, and it’s always interesting to see how an artist will adapt a record to the small screen

Vevo, the industry’s leader in music video streaming, has been compiling lists of the most-watched videos and artists for years now. Last year, following the release of his critically-acclaimed record My Turn, Lil Baby topped Vevo’s 2020 most-watched artist list and this year, the “Emotionally Scarred” rapper held onto that top spot

Racking up 770 million views throughout 2021, Lil Baby was Vevo’s most watched artist this year, followed by The Weeknd with 559 million views and Future with 481 million views.

Chris Brown (476 million) and Taylor Swift (471 million) round out Vevo’s top-five, while Ariana Grande (438 million), Doja Cat (429 million), Drake (428 million), Lil Nas X (382 million) and country artist Morgan Wallen (379 million) complete the top-ten.

While neither Lil Baby nor The Weeknd released solo projects in 2021, both artists cleaned up with a handful of singles and collaborations including Baby’s joint tape, The Voice Of The Heroes, with Lil Durk, and The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” and its remix with Grande. (Both artists appeared on Kanye West’s “Hurricane,” however there is no music video for the record.)

With both Apple Music and Spotify providing listeners with their stats every year, we already know who everybody was listening to all year, but the real question is who were you watching? Let us know which artists dominated your screens this year and drop your favorite music video of 2021 down in the comments.

Israel Adesanya Gives His Predictions For Poirier Vs. Oliveira

Israel Adesanya is one of the best fighters in the UFC right now, and he certainly knows a thing or two about the sport. Whenever a big UFC event is on the horizon, Adesanya takes to his YouTube channel where he gives a breakdown of some of the fights. Of course, with UFC 269 going down on Saturday, Izzy decided to give his thoughts on the upcoming card, specifically the fight between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier.

As Adesanya explains in the video below, Poirier is a true master of his craft and he should be the favorite heading into the match. However, Adesanya knows that Oliveira has done a great job at building up his image over the years, and that Poirier should not take his opponent lightly. As for predictions, Adesanya just knows that this is going to be a special matchup.

“So, Oliveira is no joke is with the striking,” Oliveira said. “I feel like, of course he’s going to be improving, but I haven’t noticed this improvement as much as I’ve noticed Dustin’s (striking) improvements. He’s still a bit, flat-footed still plots forward sometimes and overthrows, but it works for him. Everyone’s style is different. This is art, so it works for him. I do like Oliveira. I like the story of his rags to riches story and I feel like it deserves to be in a position he’s in. But again, there’s Dustin… I look forward to a great show. It’s a great display of martial arts.”

Fans have been looking forward to this fight for a while, and on the whole, UFC 269 is promising to be a great show. Hopefully, all of the fighters are able to deliver.

Simone Biles Named TIME Magazine’s Athlete Of The Year

TIME Magazine named champion gymnast Simone Biles as Athlete of the Year. However, the honor comes after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in which Biles elected to sit out of the iconic games due to her ongoing battle with mental health issues.

Considering the fact that Biles did not perform, yet still received the award, was both a tremendous and controversial feat. Simone is praised by many, and is considered an inspiring role model for the youth, after her display of courage and strength in acknowledging her struggle, highlighting the seriousness of mental health, as well as the importance of predicating getting the right help.

Although to others, Biles decision to pull out of the Olympic Games was extremely ill-advised. People have criticized the 24-year-old star gymnast, and are of the mindset that Biles quit on her team and her country with the move.

However, much of the public has shown an outpour of support for the 4x gold medalist, including fellow gymnast Suni Lee, who was named Sports Illustrated’s “Athlete of The Year” herself.

On Biles’ impact on the world of sports in bringing awareness to the issue of mental health, Suni Lee said, “What Simone did changed the way we view our well-being, 100%. It showed us that we are more than the sport, that we are human beings who can also have days that are hard. It really humanized us.”

Biles told TIME Magazine that she ‘believes everything happens for a reason and purpose’, and explained that after everything, she still is proud of the decision she made.

“I was torn because things weren’t going the way I wanted,” Biles told TIME. “But looking back, I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

Before the Tokyo Olympics and any of the events that transpired after the fact, Biles got a tattoo Maya Angelou’s famous quote “And still I rise”. Explaining to TIME that, “It’s a reminder and a tribute to everything I had been through, and that I always come out on top.”
