Atlanta trap music icon Lil Baby turned 27 on Dec. 3. While he threw a small party with some of his closest friends on the day of, he took it to the next level this past weekend to keep the party going.

On Dec. 12, Baby hosted a concert at State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks. He brought out a litany of hip-hop and trap favorites for his fans at the show, including Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Latto, City Girls, MoneyBagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Lakeyah, EST Gee, Rylo Rodriguez, Fredo Bang, Unfoonk and more. Although Rolling Loud took place in Los Angeles this weekend, Baby’s concert competed with it in star-power.

At the presumed after part for the show, Baby received gifts from his rapper friends. His, likely, closest rap friend Gunna probably received the honor for best gift of the night. Gunna gifted Baby a custom chain with the names of both of Baby’s kids, Jason and Loyal, on it. Lil Baby showed off the glistening necklace on his Instagram story: “This the oneeee.”

Gunna and Lil Baby came up in the rap game together, as Baby used to pay Gunna to write some of his verses for him. From then, the two collaborated on multiple hits, and even released an intriguing collab album in 2018 titled Drip Harder. The album’s lead single “Drip Too Hard,” is 9x Platinum, and on its way to Diamond certification.

Those who voted for Joe Biden solely on his promise to cut down their student debt are feeling more than a little betrayed right now, it seems. Earlier this week, it was announced by the White House that loan repayments are planned to continue in just a few weeks, on February 1st.

“We’re still assessing the impact of the [COVID-19] Omicron variant,” press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed to reporters on Friday, adding that more details are expected to be released in the coming weeks. “A smooth transition back into repayment is a high priority for the administration.  The Department of Education is already communicating with borrowers to help them to prepare for return to repayment on February 1st and has secured contract extensions with loan servicers.”

Psaki also said that Biden’s administration plans to “engage directly with federal student loan borrowers to ensure they have the resources they need and are in the appropriate repayment plan.” She noted that “41 million borrowers” benefitted from the payment pause, and Forbes has reported that POTUS has cancelled a total of $12.5 billion in student loan debt for approximately 640,000 people since his time in office began.

As noted by Complex, the Pennsylvania-born politician previously campaigned that he supported the idea of “clearing $10,000 of student debt per yea of national or community service for up to five years and $50,000 total.” The President has made it known that he would prefer for Congress to make this happen through legislation, and it’s also been shared that “his past budgets have not indicated student loan forgiveness.”

Jack Harlow has announced that he is teaming up with Kentucky Fried Chicken to provide relief to his home state through the form of a $250,000 donation to the American Red Cross. The death toll for the catastrophic storm which crossed through several Midwestern states, last week, has passed 74 as of Monday. At least 105 Kentuckians are reported missing as a search continues.

“Growing up I always dreamed of being that guy who would put Kentucky on the map in the music scene,” Harlow said. “But to team up with an iconic national staple like KFC, the biggest brand to come out of Kentucky, is truly an honor. I’m looking forward to all the amazing things we’re about to do together.”

He added on Instagram: “It couldn’t come at a better time, as the state needs our help more than ever in the wake of this past weekend’s devastating tornadoes.”

Throughout the next year, the partnership will see KFC adding new menu items in collaboration with Harlow.

Harlow will be embarking on a five-date No Place Like Home Tour, this month, performing shows across Kentucky. A KFC Bucket Boombox will be present at the concerts.

We all know about 50 Cent and Rick Ross’ long-storied feud and just how messy it’s gotten over the years. Both rappers are comfortably running their own empires but they’ve still got a lot of animosity for one another. Following the release of Rozay’s new studio album Richer Than I Ever Been, the rapper spoke with GQ’s Frazier Tharpe about all of the hot topics surrounding him, including his feud with 50 Cent.

When asked about whether he would ever consider doing a second Verzuz battle against 50, Rozay said that’s a question that should be directed to Fif.

“You got to ask yourself would he come and do a Verzuz with Rozay. I mean, you got to ask yourself honestly, would he come and stand next to Rozay in the arena or wherever it would be?” asked Ross. “That’s really your question. I don’t even think it’s a question of if I would do it. That shit light.”

The interviewer contested his “that shit light” comment by reminding him that they’re talking about 50 Cent, to which Rozay said, “Come on, now. I helped the views on his shows. On TV, he didn’t do nothing, man.”

The Florida rapper then went on to give his nemesis a backhanded compliment, allegedly revealing how much money he made off of BMF.

“Man, I saw the first [episode of BMF]. I was just trying to support the homie [Big] Meech, the n***as in the street,” said Ross. “I’m a real n***a. I could put [my issues with 50] to the side. I know he may have made a quarter million off the whole season. I’m happy he made that quarter. [Interviewer laughs at the comment.] You know that’s what he made. Why you laughing like that? And make sure you put all these details in. I’ll never let you interview me again if you take that out. Keep it. But, look I know he made 250k off the whole season, and that’s good. Tell him I said, ‘Congratulations.'”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ross spoke about his funny Instagram uploads, often rapping along to songs from his enemies. “You know it’s rough out there. Sometimes you just got to be honest,” he said about a specific clip of him rapping to a Lloyd Banks song and drinking Belaire. “Tell Lloyd that I’ll let him come to the promised land, and I’ll have a conversation with him. I don’t have no problem with Lloyd Banks.”

Former NFL running back for the Rams and Jets Zac Stacy has been in hot water for the last month. On Nov. 17, his ex-girlfriend Kristen Evans posted a handful of gruesome videos to Instagram that showed him physically assaulting her in their home n font of their infant child.

After this, a warrant for Stacy’s arrest was issued, and it even appeared that he fleed Oakland, FL where the warrant was issued. Shortly after, however, he returned to Florida and turned himself in. He was arrested at the airport, and TMZ released footage yesterday (Dec. 13) of him speaking with police after being apprehended, telling his life story and explaining the situation that led to his arrest. He claimed Evans was framing him: “She knew I was down, she knew I was going through anxiety and depression. She knew I was trying to close this gap that’s between me and my son, and she’s just upset that she got caught, and she’s upset I’m not taking care of him like she expected. And now she took it this far. This is just a case of a girl that is just bitter that I don’t want to be with her, and she’s just trying to destroy my whole reputation ’cause of this sh*t.”

He also alleged that Evans cheated on him with his financial advisor, who was his teammate at a time. Evans soon responded on Instagram Live, criticizing Stacy for playing the victim, and questioning his assertion that she staged the numerous attacks: “I don’t know how you can stage getting your ass beat. This is what abusers do. They will make you seem like you’re the crazy one and that they’re the victim.”

She also emphasized how troubling the airport video was t her, as the police officer that arrested Stacy was being comforting and respectful to him while he was in handcuffs: “Everything about this makes me uncomfortable.”

30-year-old Zac Stacy is currently out on bond for his domestic abuse charges.

2021 is just weeks away from coming to an end, which means that plenty of publications have begun rolling out their year-end coverage, reflecting on who deserves recognition for their mega accomplishments over the last 12 months. In the past, Time Magazine has recognized the likes of Greta Thunberg, Donald Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg, as their “Person of the Year,” and 2021’s decision isn’t much less controversial.

50-year-old Elon Musk has been declared Time’s most influential figure of 2021, with the outlet praising him for his involvement in various enterprises, including the ever-changing world of cryptocurrency. In his interview, the South African-born CEO explained that he doesn’t think that he doesn’t think crypto will replace fiat currency, and when asked about how his social media posts impact markets he responded, “markets move themselves all the time.”

Last night, Musk and X Æ A-Xii – the young son he shares with his semi-separated partner, Grimes – attended an event together where “The Dogefather” was celebrated for his achievements. While those at the event seemed to praise Time’s decision, many people online clearly didn’t feel the same way.

“Dolly Parton, not Elon Musk, deserved to be Time’s Person of the Year,” one user argued, earning an impressive amount of likes. “Time Magazine’s owner is an investor in SpaceX so Elon Musk being chosen seems a bit underhanded however it is very fitting that the 2021 Person of the Year is a guy with more money than anyone else on Earth who just desperately wants to be popular on Twitter.

Several months after announcing their breakup, Shantel Jackson has revealed what caused her and Nelly to split up. Jackson discussed their relationship during a new interview with The Real on Tuesday. 

Jackson began by affirming that she and Nelly did not end on bad terms after being together for seven years.

“OK, so when we started our relationship, I was always on the road with him,” she said, explaining why they broke up. “Traveling, out of the country, on concerts, all that good stuff. But then, when it came to a point where I was home more often building my company Shoe Gummi or just working on my brand, and him being on the road, me being on the road less with him, we started to grow apart, and it just became an issue with, ‘you know what? what are we doing? what are we gonna do?’ And, we just had to come to the realization of look, let’s take this time and see if this split is going to bring it back full circle for us and honestly, that’s what we’re doing.”

She continued: “Yeah, you can say that. A break, split, but I feel like it’s important that we take the time to just do it. Me personally, I feel like it’s important for me, because if our relationship is gonna come back, it’s gonna come back. If this break is going to stop that, then it’s kind of inevitable, if that makes sense.”

Chris Brown appears to be closing in on a new deal with Quality Control Music, according to a report from The Jasmine Brand. 

Following the 32-year-old singer’s captivating performance at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles this weekend, where he breezed through his classics and put on an outstanding show for a crowd of thousands, it looks like the singer is getting prepped to sign a new record label deal with Quality Control. If the report holds any weight, it means that CB will be joining an all-star roster of talent, including Lil Baby, Migos, Lil Yachty, City Girls, Duke Deuce, Lakeyah, and more.

Chris Brown has long been affiliated with RCA Records after signing a deal with Jive Records in 2004. In 2019, it was announced that Brown closed a historic deal with RCA to own all of his masters. It’s unclear what kind of deal he was able to work out with Quality Control but if he already owns all of his masters, his QC contract has to be pretty enticing.

Brown’s last full-length project, Slime & B with Young Thug, was released independently through Chris Brown Entertainment, which operates out of RCA Records.

As more information is revealed about Brown’s reported deal with Quality Control, we will keep you updated. At the time of this publication, the report has not been confirmed by Brown or Quality Control’s representatives.

JAY-Z, Kanye West, André 3000, Lupe Fiasco, and more showed support for Tyler, The Creator at the launch of his newest collection for Golf le Fleur on Monday in Malibu, California. The collection features the usual unisex apparel and accessories, but also his new French Waltz fragrance and several shades of nail polish.

“I don’t even see this as me diving into the beauty space,” Tyler recently told Essence. “It’s just me saying ‘I want to make perfume,’ so I made it. I want to make nail polish,’ so I made it. I just made this, and this is what I’m on. And I hope people fuck with it.”

Tyler thanked all the notable faces who stopped by on his Twitter afterward.

The Golf Le Fleur nail polish comes in shades of Georgia Peach, Geneva Blue, and Glitter, and is available for $20.

Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily, Tyler recently revealed that Golf le Fleur wouldn’t be possible without the help of the late designer Virgil Abloh.

“Some of these Golf le Fleur clothes are made in Italy and are handmade, and do you know who set all that up for me? He did,” Tyler said. “He was on calls and emails setting this stuff up for me in a world that I didn’t know, schooling me on so much, and [with] the launch, I wanted him there so bad so he could see what his helping hand turned into… But now, I just got to go harder. I just got to really take it there, because I believe he would want to see me continue to get there.”

And just like that, she’s got her third diamond-certified record, making history. Just a few weeks ago, the hip-hop community was celebrating Cardi B’s second-ever diamond-certified record for “Girls Like You,” a Maroon 5 song that she features on. Just a few weeks later though, and Cardi already has her third diamond plaque for “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny.

With her third diamond-certified record, Cardi B becomes the first female rapper to earn this many diamond plaques. The 29-year-old rapper celebrated on social media.

I have a solo diamond record, a feature diamond record and now ANOTHER diamond record from a collab with 2 people that I look up to and love so much, @jbalvin & @badbunnypr. I remember like it was yesterday when this song went #1 and now it’s Diamond. I honestly just can’t believe this is happening! I’m so proud to have two songs off my debut album go Diamond. I hope I can achieve the same or even better on my next one. Cardi’s husband, Migos rapper Offset, congratulated her on the magnificent feat, saying, “She ain’t the one to play with, another diamond record, 1, 2, 3 of them actually, everybody doubted at first and you continue to prove em all the way wrong @iamcardib.”
