Russell Westbrook Speaks Out On Anthony Davis’ MCL Injury

Anthony Davis is the latest Lakers player to get hit with the injury bug as he will now have to miss at least four weeks with an MCL injury. This is not what the Lakers wanted to hear, and at this point, it remains to be seen whether or not Davis will really come back at the end of those four weeks. He is an injury prone player, and his performances this year have led us to believe that his head might not be in the game right now.

Last night, the Lakers lost yet another game, this time to the Chicago Bulls. Russell Westbrook dropped 20 points, and afterward, he spoke to reporters about Davis and what the big man’s absence will mean for the team going forward. As you can imagine, the Lakers are a bit worried.

“It’s tough. Anytime you see somebody go down, they gotta miss some time, especially from the game that they love to play. It’s tough,” Westbrook said via ClutchPoints. “I’ve been there and I understand just the emotional state. Just try to keep uplifting him, staying positive, talking to him. Making sure he’s trying to win each day so he can get back healthy.” Westbrook then went on to talk about how he has had to take on an increased work load and how it’s something he will continue to do for as long as the Lakers need him to.

The Lakers are desperately trying to hang on in the Western Conference, and while the conference isn’t even that strong this year, the Lakers cannot manage to remain consistent. Only time will tell whether or not they can get it together.

Carmelo Anthony Reacts To Isaiah Thomas’ Incredible Comeback

Carmelo Anthony has had plenty of ups and downs throughout his NBA career. Just a couple of years ago, people were declaring him as washed, and there was this growing sense that he just wasn’t going to be effective anymore. That has all changed, as now, Melo is an integral part of the Lakers’ depth.

Having said that, Anthony is the perfect person to talk about Isaiah Thomas and his recent resurgence on the Lakers. After being signed by the Lakers to a 10-day contract, Thomas has been able to shine thanks to a pair of 19-point and 13-point performances. For instance, you can see in the clip below that Thomas has been putting in work on the floor.

While speaking to Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints, Melo explained just how much relates to what Thomas has been through over these past few years.

“It’s something that I can relate to,” Melo said. “I know the feeling of believing in yourself when everybody counts you out. I know that. Him standing on what he believes in and believing in his game, believing in his talent, his skill, and what he can do. I was out a damn near year and a half. It’s still the same mentality that we go through. The same mindset. At times, it gets stressful, I’m sure you want to get down on yourself. As you can see, he was prepared for whatever moment. I’m just happy he’s back in the league. It just so happens to be with us.”

While the Lakers ended up losing last night, there is no denying that IT’s presence is a beacon of light right now. Hopefully, his play is enough to garner a deal with the Lakers that goes beyond the 10 days.

Brady’s last shutout loss came in Week 14 of the 2006 season against the Miami Dolphins.

“We’ve got to get a lot better, got to get back to work,” Brady said after the game. “There’s a lot of football left and see if we can go get a win next week.”

The Bucs were without receivers Antonio Brown and Breshad Perriman who were also held out of the game.

The Buccaneers went on to lose the game 9-0. They are now 10-4 on the season, sitting at first place in the NFC South. The Saints now move to 7-7 and in second place in the division.

Bridgewater was injured while diving for a first down during the third quarter. After his helmet collided with the ground, the 29-year-old quarterback lay motionless. The Broncos’ medical staff assisted Bridgewater onto a stretcher and carted him off the field.

They later announced that he had regained movement in all of his extremities, but had been taken to the hospital as a precaution.

From then on, the team’s 2019 second-round draft pick, Drew Lock, filled in for Bridgewater, finishing with 88 yards and one touchdown.

Bridgewater is in the midst of one of his best seasons in the NFL. Through his first 13 games with the Broncos, he’s tossed for 2,954 yards, 18 touchdowns, and only 7 interceptions. He’s added two scores on the ground as well.

Earlier this year, Bridgewater suffered a concussion but did not miss any games.

Jennifer Lopez Denies Being Upset With Ben Affleck Over Jennifer Garner Comments

Jennifer Lopez says reports that she is upset with Ben Affleck for his recent comments regarding Jennifer Garner are false. Affleck had blamed his struggles with alcoholism on his past relationship with Garner saying that “part of why I started drinking was because I was trapped.”

“This story is simply not true,” Lopez said in a statement provided to People. “It is not how I feel.”

“I couldn’t have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person,” she added.

Affleck’s controversial comments were taken from a broader interview on The Howard Stern Show, from Tuesday, Dec. 14.

Affleck later clarified during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! saying that he “would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom.”

“I know people do this, and I get it,” Affleck told Kimmel. “Me, I’m happy to be sad Batman, I’m happy to be Dunkin Donuts and the memes, I understand you have to get married to Jimmy Kimmel sometimes. But really, like, if it’s about my kids I gotta just draw a line and be really clear, that’s not true.”
