Dr. Dre To Pay Ex Nicole Young $100 Mil, Keeps Properties: Report

After over a year of a contentious divorce battle, more is being shared about Dr. Dre and Nicole Young’s agreement. The pair first announced that they were divorcing back in the Summer of 2020, and what followed was a series of updates that spoke at length about the ins and outs of the couple’s marriage and finances.

From the beginning, Nicole suggested that there wasn’t a prenuptial agreement in place and reports stated she was asking for $2 million per month in spousal support. Following his alarming brain aneurysm, Dr. Dre reportedly gave his wife millions, yet still, their bitter split continued to make headlines.

The Aftermath mogul recently was seen in a “Divorced AF” Instagram photo hinting that the legal back and forth may be officially over and on Tuesday (December 28), TMZ reported that Dre is paying his wife $100 million. The outlet stated that it is broken down into “$50 mil now, and $50 mil a year from now.” The rapper’s net worth is also said to be estimated at $820 million.

In exchange, Dre gets to keep 7 of the properties they own, including a Malibu home, 2 homes in Calabasas, and 4 properties in the L.A. area, including the $100 million Brentwood estate. In addition, Dre gets full rights to his master recordings, trademarks and interests in various partnerships and trusts. He also keeps all of their Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre. They divide a fleet of vehicles — he gets 6 and she gets 4.

Meanwhile, Nicole reportedly will keep her cash, accounts, and jewelry, but she will be responsible for her legal fees. It was previously reported that she wanted Dre to cover those costs. TMZ also alleged that their source stated that Nicole could have received a better deal a year ago and the divorce may have even been amicable but instead, things turned nasty.

Travis Scott Defended By Tank Over Astroworld, Singer Suggests Tragedy Isn’t Rapper’s Fault

As the initial shock of the Astroworld tragedy dissipates, more entertainers are coming forward in defense of Travis Scott. The rapper has been vilified by the court of public opinion as people fault him for the 10 deaths that took place at Astroworld, and as the lawsuits mount into the billions, the repercussions are continuing to surface.

Earlier today (December 28), we reported that Dior has delayed their collaboration with Scott, and that comes on the heels of news that he has reportedly been dropped from Coachella 2022’s lineup.

“The kid is known for mosh pits and rage energy at his shows. If this is not for you then you shouldn’t be there,” wrote Tank. “Anybody underage for sure should second guess attending and being in the crowd. This happens at ALL FESTIVALS!! There’s not enough security and now enough people in the crowd who care about other peoples well being. If the promoter and head of security felt like this concert was out of hand from the beginning they should’ve stopped it before it got started.”

He added that in the end, companies wanted to make a hefty profit and were more concerned with that than the safety of festivalgoers. “As a performer it is my assumption that security and the promoter have done their due diligence in order for us to have a safe and successful show,” Tank added. “Crowd control and security isn’t my job. Entertaining is. If i can clearly see something bad is happening then i will address is but if there are 50k people HOW CAN I SEE THAT?? [face palm emoji].”

Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue also chimed into the conversation and slammed companies for distancing themselves from Scott during this time. “Because he was a Black man that owned a festival that had failures?” Blue questioned. “When people die at these white owned festivals no one is canceled! We should be empowering him & putting our Black dollars behind him!”

Dr. Dre’s Ex-Wife Wins $100 Million And More Through Their Divorce Settlement

Earlier this month, an image of Dr. Dre sitting with a big smile on his face in front of balloons with the words “Divorced AF” hit the internet. The photo was posted by music executive Breyon Prescott, who captioned it, “Hey Well My Brother @drdre Just Told Me It’s Final.” He posted it after a report from TMZ revealed that Dre and his ex-wife Nicole Young’s divorce settlement had ended with him paying her a lump sum of $2 million and an additional $500,000 to cover her attorney fees. Now, new reports from Rolling Stone and TMZ reveal that Dre will have to dish out a lot more money.

Dre has now agreed to pay Nicole a total of $100 million — $50 million now and the remaining half a year from now — which is a sizable cut from his $828 million net worth. The former couple’s prenup barred Nicole from receiving half of Dre’s net worth. However, in addition to the $100 million that Dre will pay her, Nicole keeps four out of the 10 vehicles the couple owned, as well as jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she maintained during their marriage. Lastly, there are storage lockers filled with items that Dre put in there from their various homes. The settlement says Nicole can keep all of the items in the storage lockers that belong to her.

As for Dre himself, he keeps seven of the properties they own, including a Malibu home, two homes in Calabasas, and four properties in the L.A. area, which includes a $100 million Brentwood estate. He also retains his master recordings, trademarks, interests in various partnerships and trusts, as well as their Apple stocks, which includes proceeds from his Beats By Dre deal.

Sources connected to the former couple say that Nicole could have received an even larger amount from Dre if she had settled a year ago. “She could have even been on the field for the Super Bowl halftime show as a friendly ex-wife,” a source told TMZ.

NFL Reduces Isolation Times For Players With COVID-19 Down To 5 Days

The NFL and NFL Players Association reached an agreement to lower the number of days a player who has tested positive for COVID-19 but is asymptomatic must self-isolate from 10 to five. The league sent out a memo detailing the new rules on Tuesday.

Returning to play is now contingent on several factors: That it has been at least 5 days since the initial positive swab; That it’s been at least 24 hours since last a player’s last fever; That all other symptoms are considered to be “resolved or improved”; That the play is cleared by a team doctor in consultation with the ICS and the NFL.

“The change is motivated by science demonstrating that the majority of SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after,” the league said in their memo. “Therefore, people who test positive should isolate for 5 days and, if asymptomatic at that time, they may leave isolation if they can continue to mask for 5 days to minimize the risk of infecting others.”

The news comes shortly after Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz was placed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list. Under the new rules, he might be able to return ahead of the Colts’ matchup with the Raiders on Sunday.

Melyssa Ford Talks Drake Romance: “I F*cking Adored Him”

With decades in the entertainment industry under her belt, Melyssa Ford has more than enough stories about what she’s experienced behind the scenes. The video vixen turned host has often shared her tales of what she’s witnessed in the industry and often, those stories involve some of our favorite artists. Ford’s name has been tied to The Game after he dropped a line about her in his 2006 hit “Wouldn’t Get Far”—something she would later say she was humiliated by. Yet, The Game wasn’t the only rapper to be associated with the model.

Ford has also spoken about her alleged romance with Drake, a relationship that she claims existed while Drizzy was also seeing model Tocarra Jones years ago. Recently, Ford visited Drink Champs alongside Rap icon Monie Love and was asked about Drake, and more specifically if he performed a specific sex act.

In true Noreaga fashion, he asked about Ford’s intimate life with the OVO Sound mogul. After acting coy about the situation, Ford seemingly made a face but denied that her expression was an answer to any questions about what Drake allegedly did to her in the bedroom. However, the others interpreted it as a confirmation.

“Here’s the thing, you’ll never have full confirmation as to what actually transpired,” she said. After doing a bit of back and forth, Melyssa decided to speak more about what may or may not have transpired with Drake. She explained that they’re both Scorpios, both biracial, and Ford said she “really, truly f*cking adored him.”

Juice WRLD’s Mom Slams Fans For Leaking Music: “It’s A Bit Disrespectful To Him”

Juice WRLD’s mother, Carmella Wallace, says she wants fans to stop leaking her late son’s music and that she finds it “a bit disrespectful to him.” Wallace discussed her annoyance with song leaks during a recent interview with XXL.

“I understand they loved him. They loved his music, but there’s a proper way to do it,” Juice’s mother told the outlet. “Let us give you our best. Leaked music is not necessarily cleaned up music, it’s just leaked, it’s not finished. So, it’s just a lot of work just going into it. It’s a bit disrespectful to him, honestly, to leak his music like that. But I know that monster is there, been there and it’s not going anywhere. We can just do our part an put out good music. He made a lot of good music.”
