Kanye West Tearing Down House He Bought Across Street From Kim Kardashian: Report

After photos surfaced of the home that Kanye West recently purchased in Hidden Hills, which is located directly across the street from Kim Kardashian’s home, fans are not surprised to hear that Ye is tearing down the home and building a new one on the same lot.

Kanye reportedly paid $4.5 million for the home, which was $421,000 over the asking price. Sources say that he wanted quicker access to his kids, who live in the crib across the street. Considering the home doesn’t really exactly match Ye’s minimalistic architecture style, it doesn’t come as a surprise to hear that this is a teardown project.

“Kanye’s new house is a teardown. He only bought it for the location,” said a source to People Magazine. “It’s near Kim and the kids. He has a vision for the house and plans on starting construction ASAP. It’s just simple logistics so that he is close to his children and has access to them at the drop of a hat.”

The 44-year-old recording artist recently also purchased a home in Malibu, thirty minutes away, for $57.3 million. The house is much more his style, with stone exteriors and bunker-like construction. 

The new home in the Hidden Hills was originally purchased by the previous owners in 1955 when it was fresh on the market. The 3,600-square-foot house sits on over an acre of land, so there’s no telling how large Ye could build his new mansion.

This also comes after Ye listed one of his Wyoming ranches on the market for $11 million.

Adam McKay Gushes Over Ariana Grande And Kid Cudi’s Acting Performances In ‘Don’t Look Up’

Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi’s involvement with Don’t Look Up doesn’t stop at their song “Just Look Up,” as they also have substantial parts in the film. Furthermore, Adam McKay has heaped praise on the two for their performances in the movie.

McKay said of Grande, “It made sense to have the biggest pop star in the world play the biggest pop star in the world. We got her on set for her first scene with [Leonardo DiCaprio] and [Jennifer Lawrence], and she’s improvising lines. I knew she’d nail the song, but I didn’t know she could improvise.”

He spoke more about Grande’s improvisational skills in a recent video from Netflix about the movie’s improv, starting at 4:19 into the video.

Grande also offered a quote about McKay, saying, “Adam’s one of my comedy heroes. I was jumping out of my skin when he pitched me the idea of playing this pop star in this yucky tabloid frenzy. Playing this little part and getting to work with Adam and this beyond incredible cast was such a special experience.”

McKay also had compliments for Cudi, saying, “[I] knew who Kid Cudi was, but in meeting Scott Mescudi, I was completely taken aback. He can really act. He was immediately natural on set and such a humble guy. Scott was incredibly open and collaborative.”

Of course, it makes sense that both Cudi and Grande would be comfortable on a set, as they’ve both spent plenty of time in that environment. Before music, Grande was known for playing the character Cat Valentine in two Nickelodeon series, Victorious and Sam & Cat. As for Cudi, he been in the main cast of shows like How To Make It In America, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and We Are Who We Are.

Lil Xan Puts His Former Manager Stat Quo On Blast For Enabling His Drug Addiction

Lil Xan’s reign of terror over rap is a few years in the rearview, but while the controversial rapper hasn’t been quite as visible for a while, he still has at least one bone to pick with the music business — or more specifically, with his former manager, former Shady Records rapper Stat Quo. In a recent Instagram Live session, the now 25-year-old — who was able to get clean last year after quitting pills cold-turkey during quarantine — called out his ex-manager for enabling his addiction, comparing the situation to that of his late SoundCloud Rap peer, Lil Peep.

“Do you guys remember the whole Lil Peep, the story when his management was giving him drugs and it just wasn’t helping out and all that?” he asks. That happened to me on tour. My manager — well, I don’t even like to call him my manager anymore — Stat Quo, remember that name, Stat Quo… He’s gonna act like he didn’t do that, like a f*ckin’ hypocrite, and I’m really feeling like I should take him to court. Because that was a time I almost died from the drugs. I was so skinny, unhealthy.” Xan claims Stat knew his dealers and spend thousands of dollars to have drugs sent if Xan was experiencing withdrawal on tour.

Xan also says that Stat “took away” his car and is demanding $30,000 to finish paying it off. Xan — who recently made the effort to change his stage name to his given name, Diego, was open about his addiction to prescription drugs throughout his career and his breakout hit, “Betrayed,” is an ode to the dangers of pills.

Kanye West has created some very weird shoes over the years, including the Adidas Yeezy 450. This shoe has a sock upper and a shark-tooth-inspired midsole that has left fans scratching their heads, all while reaching for their wallets at the same time. Fans have admitted to enjoying this shoe, and now, it is starting to get more and more colorways. This will be especially true in 2022, and recently, Yeezy Mafia came through with a brand new teaser that should excite fans.

In the photos below, you can find the Adidas Yeezy 450 “Sulfur.” This model is covered in a light yet creamy beige aesthetic that has two tones to it. The sock upper gets the lightest beige, while the midsole is ever so darker. Overall, it is a dope neutral colorway that fits in with the aesthetic of Yeezy brand, as a whole.

Isaiah Thomas Shows Love To Sacramento After Mavs Debut

Isaiah Thomas just came off of a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, and now, he is on a new 10-day contract, this time with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs have been one of the hardest hit teams by COVID-19, so it only makes sense that they would bring someone on who has a ton of NBA experience. 

Luckily for Thomas, he got to make his Mavs debut against the Sacramento Kings, which was the first team he ever got to play for. In the end, Thomas scored a modest six points in 13 minutes, all while the Mavs ended up losing by just one point. It was a solid night for Thomas, and he was also hit with a standing ovation from fans.

After the game, Thomas made sure to show his appreciation to Kings fans, as he took to Twitter with a message for them all. As you can see, Thomas was touched by the reception he got.

“Sac is always home for me, appreciate the REAL LOVE,” he wrote.

It remains to be seen whether or not Thomas’ contract with the Mavs will turn into a full-season endeavor, although if one thing is for certain, it’s that it’s great to see Thomas back in the NBA, where he belongs.

Ben Roethlisberger Comes Close To Confirming Retirement

This season has not been a good one for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While they are no means the worst team in the league, they virtually have very little chance of making it to the postseason. For the most part, Ben Roethlisberger has been underwhelming under center, and the team doesn’t have many capable QBs in the pipeline for when he eventually retires. 

There have been a ton of rumors surrounding Big Ben and whether or not he will actually call it quits at the end of the season. While Roethlisberger has tried to quell the chatter, today, he decided to reveal what everyone has suspected. During his media availability today, Big Ben said that Monday night’s game against the Browns could be his last at Heinz Field. Despite this, he doesn’t want to think too much about the implications of such a statement.

“I can’t sit here all week and be nostalgic, think about everything that my career has been when I’ve got to focus on this game. This is the most important game of the season for us,” Roethlisberger said per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.

Roethlisberger’s decline has been leading up to this revelation, and if you’re a Steelers fan, you can’t help but feel relieved. After all, he did bring the team two Super Bowls, which is all you can ask for.

Quavo Is Being Sued For Assault By A Las Vegas Limo Driver Who Claims The Rapper’s Crew Beat Him Up

Quavo of Migos is being sued by a Las Vegas limo driver, who claims that the rapper and his entourage beat him up over the summer when he supposedly left behind a member of the group. According to TMZ, the driver’s suit says that on July 3, he was hired to take the group to the Virgin Hotel, but when someone has left at the club where he picked them up, the passengers started yelling at him — which escalated to one of them throwing a bottle at him.

The bottle throw apparently triggered a larger attack, with five of the passengers punching and kicking the driver while hotel staff and security fled back inside the hotel. The driver is suing Quavo, Migos Touring, and the Virgin Hotel for unspecified damages, due to physical injuries, mental stress, and “disfigurement.”

Quavo was most recently subject to police investigation stemming from video of an elevator altercation with his ex, Saweetie, that depicted her swinging at him, and him slinging her to the floor of the lift. However, it was later reported that neither would face charges for the fight, which happened at some point before the announcement of their breakup. Quavo later noted that “We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from. I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.”

Normani Says She’s So ‘Bad’ At Social Media That Even Her Grandma Gives Her Tips

Normani may be close to finishing up her debut album, but she’s still riding the success of her 2021 Cardi B collaboration “Wild Side.” As Normani knows, part of being a chart-topping pop star is being an expert at promoting yourself and your music on social media to some extent. But while Normani is great at crafting bangers like “Wild Side,” she admits her strengths don’t quite lie in the art of social media — and that’s where her grandmother comes in.

Normani recently sat down for a conversation with Ciara on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she spoke about the viral success of “Wild Side,” which was turned into a TikTok dance challenge, the status of her debut album, and the fact that her grandma is better at using social media than she is:

“I’m really bad with social media — it’s bad. My grandma at this point has me beat. She’ll be sending me TikToks and videos and people doing the dance challenge. […] She’s better than me. I’m the grandmother. It’s terrible, we’ve reversed roles.”

Of course, Normani also gave some updates on the status of her new music, saying she’s “almost done” with her debut album. The singer knows fans are impatient to hear her songs, but Normani says “people really underestimate” how much work really goes into one body of work. “Coming out of a girl group, there was a lot I had to figure out about myself; fears I had to deal with head-on. I was always so safe being in a girl group,” she said. “I remember when I was little, my mom was like, ‘Why do you want to be in a girl group so bad? Is it because you want to hide?’ And I think that was pretty much the answer. But God had other plans for me.”
