Dan Orlovsky Makes The MVP Case For Joe Burrow

After finishing with an abysmal record just a couple of seasons ago, the Cincinnati Bengals are now about to embark on their first playoff run with quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow has been on an absolute tear over the past month or so, and with a win against the Chiefs on Sunday, the Bengals were able to secure a spot in the playoffs as they won the AFC North Division. It was a huge win for the Bengals as it saw Burrow score a whopping four touchdowns for a second-straight week.

On First Take, former QB and current analyst Dan Orlovsky spoke about Burrow’s play and how he is currently a top five quarterback in the entire NFL. This was then followed up with a take that might surprise some people. As you will see, Orlovsky went on to make the case for why Burrow should be considered for the MVP title this year.

“The way he thinks is a trained assassin,” Orlovsky said. “Like, he is trying to go take your soul every single time he throws the football.” Orlovsky almost the case that over the last month or so, Burrow has willed his team into the postseason. After a 525-yard performance against the Ravens and a 446-yard performance against the Chiefs, it’s clear that Burrow is one of the best and brightest young QB talents in the league, and his team wouldn’t be where they are without him.

The title is likely going to go to either Aaron Rodgers or Johnathan Taylor, however, you cannot deny just how good the Bengals sophomore QB has been in 2021.

Gunna Unveils “Drip Season 4” Cover

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding Gunna’s fourth installment in the Drip Season series. The rapper began teasing the project in 2021 as the follow-up to Wunna, though his presence was largely felt on YSL’s Slime Language 2. However, in the latter months of last year, he began picking up the pace on the rollout. A few collaborators, like Metro Boomin, confirmed that they’d appear on the project before Gunna dropped off “Too Easy” ft. Future, along with the Roddy Ricch-assisted remix.

The rapper finally confirmed a release date for Jan. 7th on New Year’s Day. Today, he shared the official cover art of the project designed by contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. On Instagram, Gunna confirmed that this would be the last mixtape as part of his Drip Season projects before thanking Arsham for his work. “Thank you bro! I’ll cherish this 4ever,” Gunna commented on Arsham’s post.

Gunna hasn’t shared many details when it comes to the tracklist but there are a few artists that we suspect to see on Drip Season 4. Just the other day, Gunna shared a snippet of a new record with Young Thug and Future. It seems possible will appear on the project, too. Last night, the 4PF rapper revealed that he heard Gunna’s project, saying that his Drip Harder collaborator “ain’t bullshittin.”

Check out the cover art below.

Snoop Dogg Gifts Eli Manning His Own Death Row Chain

During an alternate broadcasting of Monday Night Football on ESPN 2 yesterday with retired Super Bowl champ Eli Manning and his NFL Hall of Fame brother Peyton Manning, Snoop Dogg gave Eli Manning a true stamp of approval. The rap veteran gifted the former New York Giants’ quarterback a Death Row Records chain for his 41st birthday.

Snoop made his appearance during the third quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns game with a few kind words for the champion. “Eli, I would like to present to you this Death Row chain for being so hip-hop and so hip,” he said while holding the diamond-encrusted chain. He also added, “That’s yours, baby. When I see you, you go that. I’m gonna put that around your neck. Happy 41st Birthday, Eli.” Manning was left thrilled and speechless. “Thank you. I will look good in that,” Manning responded.

Snoop Dogg has been a long-time fan of the football duo, later applauding them for their undeniable talent. “You always know I’m gonna give praise to the papa dog, Archie. But the way you guys played the game, you guys played with class. I love the way you guys won, I love the way you guys did y’all thing and I’m happy for y’all off the field with this show that you got and all your endeavors. Y’all keep up the great work.” he told the brothers.

The Algorithm rapper wrapped up his speech by asking if the Manning brothers could adopt him. Peyton, of course, accepted his request. Welcome to the family, Snoop!

Louisville Mayor Announces “Jack Harlow Day” Following Tornado Relief Efforts

Jack Harlow is getting his own day. In a recent Instagram post, the rapper shared a photo of a framed letter from Louisville mayor Greg Fischer announcing that Dec. 18th, 2021 will now be recognized as “Jack Harlow Day”.

For answering, once and for all, that what’s poppin’ in Louisville when it comes to talent that makes it bigger than big, but doesn’t forget the “home” in hometown or homegrown,” the letter reads.

The announcement comes after Harlow teamed up with KFC parent company Yum! Brands to donate $250K to the American Red Cross to help Kentucky’s tornado relief efforts. In the last month, more than 70 people were killed and 100 missing when a tornado ravaged the western Kentucky community. Kentucky’s governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency and the National Guard was called to help assist with the relief efforts.

Harlow has always proudly repped his city and continues to find ways to give back to his community. Back in October, he announced that he would be donating to five local organizations, including AMPED, the Center for Women and Families, Grace James Academy, Louisville Urban League, and Metro United Way. “Growing up in Louisville, all I ever fantasized about was shining a light on the city. I would hear my favorite rappers talk about where they were from in songs and I felt this urge to let the world know about us too,” Harlow wrote on his IG announcement.

Since the announcement, he has kicked off the start of his five-night sold-out No Place Like Home tour.

Antonio Brown Still Garnering Interest From Other Teams: Report

Antonio Brown is one of the finest wide receiver talents the NFL has ever seen. Unfortunately, he is also one of the biggest hot heads. In recent years, he has had a plethora of behavioral issues, and while it seemed like he had finally turned a new leaf with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it appears as though he hadn’t.

On Sunday, Brown gave fans one of the oddest displays in the history of the NFL as he stripped out of his equipment and threw it in the stands before walking off the field. Brown left the stadium on his own and then took a tour of New York, as he even got to watch the Nets play against the Memphis Grizzlies.

As for his career in the NFL, many believe it’s finally over. After all of his issues, one would assume that no team would ever try to sign him again. According to Josina Anderson, this might be a bit of an incorrect assumption. In the tweet below, Anderson reports that sources close to the situation believe teams are very much interested in Brown at this juncture. Simply put, if Brown still wants to play, there are some contenders out there who would still take him.

It remains to be seen whether or not Brown will get that chance this season, although it will be interesting to see what the wide receiver chooses to do over the coming days.

Aaliyah’s Posthumous Album “Unstoppable” Is Dropping This Month

Fans waited years to simply enjoy Aaliyah’s music on platforms like YouTube and Spotify. Last year, Blackground Records, founded by her uncle Barry Hankerson, announced their deal with EMPIRE to release Aaliyah’s back catalog, as well as future releases. Her first three albums made their way to DSPs last summer, and capping off 2021 was a posthumous single titled, “Poison” ft The Weeknd.

“Poison” served as the first single off of the posthumous album, Unstoppable. Rumblings have offered hints as to who has worked on the project but Barry Hankerson recently confirmed a few of the features, along with a confirmation of when to expect the project. Unstoppable will boast other appearances from a few industry heavy-hitters including Drake and Future.

“One of the songs that’s out now is doing incredibly well. And that’s the song that she did with Weeknd,” he said during an appearance on The Geno Jones Show. As Uproxx noted, the song reached over 5 million streams on Spotify alone since its release in late December. “Because of that success, we think it’ll only get better with people such as Ne-Yo and Snoop Dogg, Future, and Drake — one of her biggest fans. Those are the features that’ll be on the record and that’ll be out in January.”

A release date has yet to be confirmed but we will keep you posted.

Skip Bayless Reacts To Antonio Brown’s Outburst

Antonio Brown’s outburst on Sunday has been the talk of the NFL world as of late. It was certainly one of the most bizarre moments in the history of the NFL as Brown took off all of his equipment and promptly chucked it into the crowd before leaving MetLife Stadium. The Buccaneers have essentially made it clear that AB is no longer a member of the team, and there are debates surrounding whether or not he truly deserves another chance.

Skip Bayless of Undisputed has been very adamant that Brown should have never been given a chance with the Bucs in the first place. With that being said, he still feels like the situation is an unfortunate one. On today’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless even made the case that Brown’s downfall can largely be attributed to social media and the traps he got himself in.

“Antonio Brown became the first high-profile victim in sports of social media. He went over the edge into it and he couldn’t come back from it,” Bayless said before writing “AB became obsessed and addicted to social media. All of Antonio’s bad behavior got reinforced, if not flat-out encouraged, by those that wanted him to thumb his nose.”

Social media can certainly be a destructive place, and this is something that AB knows all too well. Unfortunately, it has ultimately led us to this moment, where AB could very well be on the verge of being blacklisted from the league.

Let us know what you think of Skip’s take, in the comments below.

Ric Flair Posts And Deletes Mean Tweet To Becky Lynch’s Photo With The Migos

Over the weekend, the Migos teamed with WWE to bring in the New Year with their Pay-Per-View event Day One. The trio accompanied Smackdown Tag Team champions Randy Orton and Matt Riddle (RK-Bro) down to the ring to defend their title.

The live event took place in Migos’ hometown of Atlanta at the State Farm Arena, which garnered a lot of excitement from fans and wrestlers alike – except for one. Ric Flair was not too happy to see Raw Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch’s photo of herself next to the rap trio. She captioned the photo, “Next song is ‘Big Time Drip’ @Migos #WWEDay1,” and well, Ric Flair had few things to say about her post.

A harmless piggyback off of Offset and Metro Boomin’s smash hit “Ric Flair Drip” sent Ric Flair on a Twitter frenzy. “The Mood Is Night & Day! One’s Real & One’s Make Believe!” Flair wrote. “She’s Big Time, But There’s No Drip, And There Never Will Be! And I Thought She Was THE MAN, But I Guess Not Because They Don’t Own It! HA! When Are You Going To Give Up @BeckyLynchWWE? You’re So Far Behind! WOOOOO!” he posted in a tweet that was quickly deleted.

Ric Flair has become a staple in the rap game, his name has been mentioned by some of the greats for the past decade including Pusha T, Jadakiss, and of course the Migos. Although a harmless tweet from Becky, it seems like Ric Flair wants the rap community all to himself.
