NLE Choppa is currently gearing up for his next album. In the past few weeks, he began to roll out his forthcoming effort. Beyond his hilarious appearance on Kai Cenat’s stream which continues to produce endless snippets of content, he delivered a string of singles since the beginning of 2023. He dropped off “23,” then followed it up with “CHAMPIONS” to build further anticipation. Though a release date hasn’t been set, NLE Choppa continues to showcase why he’s one of the hottest rappers out right now.
In the past few weeks, he shared a few updates surrounding his forthcoming project. It appears that a Lil Wayne feature will land on the tracklist. Choppa shared a video of himself meeting Lil Wayne and handing him literal flowers and a note to express just how much the Louisiana legend means to him. “I simply wanted to physically gift you these flowers to symbolize my appreciation for you as an artist, an icon, and more importantly, an inspiration,” he said in the note as he announced the single, “Ain’t Gonna Answer.”
NLE Choppa – Mo Up Front
It seems the genuine act of appreciation impressed the CEO & Co-Chairman of Warner Records, Aaron Bay-Schuck. NLE Choppa shared a text message exchange with Bay-Schuck who praised the rapper for creating hype with his gift to Lil Wayne. “People ate it up. Love it,” he wrote to Choppa, who confirmed that he approved of a release date for his project. After Bay-Schuck told him that he came a long way, Choppa responded, “Bout that time I need some mo up front!!”
This morning, Choppa blessed fans with his latest single, “Mo Up Front.” The anthem boasts production from Super O, The Beatssmith, and Yuneer Gainz, who cook up a muddy beat. Choppa commands the record as he finds different pockets and delivers braggadocious bars. Check out the latest form NLE Choppa above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
Quotable Lyrics
Polygamist, a few got hit, I wife the stick, I ring that
Ain’t new to shit, ramen noodle shit, the family seen that
Go getter, gorillas go get ’em if it’s tension
Four-nickel, won’t miss ’em, drop a dime, now he missin’
