To celebrate the illustrious career of Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, and rapper Jermaine Dupri, MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) and record label So So Def came together for a special tribute. Yesterday, on the occasion of Jermaine Dupri’s 30th anniversary in the music industry, a custom-wrapped bus was revealed at Atlanta 50th Hip-Hop, located at 65 Upper Alabama St SW.
This unique tribute was especially meaningful as the transit bus runs along Route 89 – Old National Highway, covering North/South routes through Dupri’s hometown of College Park. The bus’s journey includes stops at significant locations such as Old National Village, Atl. Metro Studios, Riverdale Town Ctr., and Riverdale City Hall. This commemorative bus pays homage to Jermaine Dupri’s remarkable career and traverses the neighborhoods that played a pivotal role in his musical journey. It’s a fitting tribute to a legendary figure in the music industry.
