Still, the release of his highly anticipated effort alongside Cole has been well-received by both of their fans.

Ten years ago, it may have seemed unexpected to see Durk and J. Cole on a track. However, as Lil Durk’s star profile grows, his anthemic tune with the Dreamville honcho perfectly captures his growth and evolution as an artist. However, it’s ultimately J. Cole’s verse that has people talking. The wordplay is top-tier and he’s providing gems, detailing his observations between the rising number of deaths among rappers and the coverage of them by the media.

Lil Durk’s “All My Life” Ft. J Cole Earns Praise

“All My Life” kicks off the campaign for Durk’s forthcoming album, which is due out on May 26th. The rapper began teasing the collaboration with J. Cole following his performance at Dreamville Festival, although many thought he was joking. Ultimately, the two rappers slid with a potential #1 hit record that’s poised to be a mainstay on playlists all summer long. There’s no doubt that “All My Life” sets a standard for his upcoming effort, Almost Healed.

Ahead of the release of his latest single, Lil Durk revealed that he sat down with Chicago’s Mayor, which he opens up about on his verse. “I decided I had to finish, but the media called me a menace/ I done sat with the mayor and politicians, I’m tryna change the image,” he raps on the song. The rapper recently revealed that he and mayor Brandon Johnson discussed ways to save the lives of kids in Chicago. Hopefully, we see Durk making more positive changes in his community.
